  1. Moved to Feyenoord from Espanyol, and have a striker who is insane. Nestro Groen, who should be in their youth team at start of the game. Has scored at over a goal a game for 6 months, and has just scored 1st half hat-tricks for me in back to back games.
  2. Really weird feeling around this match, we have so many injuries, and it appears confidence and fitness is low around the entire squad. However Burnley looked awful yesterday, and if we are going to finish top 4 we have to have the mentality to dust ourselves off and grind out a result. Kasper Amartey Soyuncu Fuchs Ricardo Choudhury Tielemans Ndidi Castagne Iheanacho Vardy Under to come off the bench if we are needing a goal, these next few games are his chance to show if he's ever going to be here long term. If Evans is fit, I'd go 4-4-2 and bring Under, Evans & Albrighton in for Amartey, Fuchs and Choudhury.
  3. With the injuries we have had all season, and especially now, it will be a herculean effort to get top 4. With a fully fit squad all season, top 4 is a great season. We need to remember the quality and size of the club's we are competing against for Champions League qualification. At the start of every season, any European qualification should be considered a good season.
  4. Just seen that Ipswich are on the verge of getting taken over by an American group. Paul Cook to replace Lambert as manager. Ipswich are my "second team" so always keep an eye on what's going on there. This is hugely needed!
  5. Think last night could be a real weapon for Brendon to use when discussing transfer activity for the summer. Granted the injuries we have are unlikely to be repeated next year, but there are a few players who are solid prem players at best, and to get to the next level they need replacing with players of european quality. Striker, a couple of wingers & a central midfielder for me.
  6. I'd go 5 at the back for this, and play a little more direct. Kasper Amartey Evans Soyuncu Ricardo Tielemans Ndidi Castagne Kelechi Vardy Barnes
  7. Turkish Demerai Gray
  8. I don't see that to be the case. Manchester clubs won't go for him, neither will Liverpool. Chelsea won't sell to Spurs, and unlikely to sell to Arsenal too. He could go abroad, possibly as Haaland's replacement at Dortmund, but I just think he would fit really well here. Alot more to come from him too, personally think he can bulk up a little more and add an extra yard of pace to his movement.
  9. I know he's been mentioned before but apparently Tammy Abraham doesn't want to sign a new deal at Chelsea as they chase Haaland. Could be a really good option for us, only 23 and already pretty proven in the PL.
  10. He's been excellent since end of transfer window. Think the only way these beat us is physically, so he helps with that too. Huge game for Under in my opinion - if he doesn't start here, he never will. Brendon could look at 3 at the back though and play Barnes and Vardy up top.
  11. With no Maddison I'd like us to go with this. Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Castagne Ndidi Choudhury Tielemans Under Barnes Vardy I wouldn't have played Under, but we will need that little bit of creativity now. Choudhury in the middle to add some energy and cover the full backs getting forward. Youri to obviously push a little higher up.
  12. Had a dream when Captain Tom was in hospital that him and Prince Phillip died on the same day. Not longer after Tom dies, Phillip is in hospital. My timing is off I suppose...
  13. Interesting, never seen him play but just looked at some stats. I imagine would come in as Wilf backup? A tall lad that's for sure, and seems a little more box-to-box than Wilf? Maybe someone with more French football knowledge than me can confirm those.
  14. Unfortunately for him, Sir Keir is not really an affective Leader of Opposition this far away from an election, he doesn't really incite passion for change so far away from it's ability to happen as well as Corbyn did. Proof will be in the pudding when we are closing in to a general election and he can lay down specific policies and put himself across as the steady, sensible leader that is more his style.
  15. Personally don't see a 4th choice centre back playing that many games. I don't see us having the same injury issues next year as we have this year, and we will likely play a very similar amount of games. So far Amartey has started 6 games. Take into account some of those are at Right Back (where some of those appearances have also been down to injury) he will probably finish the season around the 15 mark at most? It just doesn't make financial sense to me, while money is tight (and it will be relatively tight next year, even if we qualify for CL), to spend money on that kind of player. Right Winger, Centre Forward and Centre Midfielder are far more important.
  16. I really don't see the clamour for a Tah or Tarkowski, Yes it would be nice to have 4 good options for the position, but what player of that quality is going to want to come and sit behind Fofana, Soyuncu and Evans in the pecking order. Yes we've been unlucky with injuries this year to CB's but I don't think spending money on someone who will at most play 10 games a season is wise. Happy with Amartey as that 4th choice, or Josh Knight.
  17. Buendia/Matheus Pereira/Ismaila Sarr/David Brooks for the right wing. Edouard (I like Toney or Adam Armstong too but would prefer Edouard) A centre midfielder to act as backup to Youri, we don't really have an option when we want to give him a rest - Maybe Lewis Cook from Bournemouth if they don't come up?
  18. With Europa League coming up, and the top 4 race going to be really tight I think the time has come to prioritise those over the FA Cup (As much as I would of course love a cup win). Ward Amartey Soyuncu Fuchs Albrighton Mendy Hamza Thomas Under Perez Iheanacho Have the big guns on the bench ready to bring on with 30 minutes to go if we are chasing the game
  19. Genuinely think he should be top earner (Or joint) at the club. He is really growing into a world class midfielder and would probably be our hardest player to replace.
  20. I think there's an obvious middle ground opinion that Mendy is a good solid player, but a midfield 3 of Mendy, Youri and Maddison can appear very lightweight. Against some opponents that isn't an issue. Wolves after this match for example is the kind of match I'd like Mendy in (if Wilf isn't fit). But Anguissa, Loftus Cheek and maybe Lemina playing for Fulham could simply out-muscle us. Perfect time to play Hamza, he is the only option with physicality.
  21. Could do, similar to Lookman's move to Leipzig.
  22. Interesting that he's only on a 18 month contract. Could be a real make or break move for him. Good luck to the lad, he was so exciting when we first signed him, but seems to need perfect man management to stay at a good level. I always preferred him on the right as a direct winger than on the left as a poor ronaldo impersonator.
  23. A few changes after Leeds I think Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Justin Tielemans Choudhury Under Maddison Barnes Iheanacho Mendy was poor against Leeds, and physically can get lost in games. Fulham have a big powerful midfield. Time to get Hamza to prove his future can be here. Kelechi for Perez as I just feel we need more presence up top against these types of teams.
  24. I agree that it isn't the right time for a full inquest. As you've said, mission number 1 has to be vaccinations, and that seems to be going well. But I just think the rejection of any criticism until after the pandemic makes the government look like they have no interest in learning as they go along.
  25. I mean, I did say "A little like". Honest answer, no idea - i'm in no way smart enough or specialised in a field that lends itself to dealing with a pandemic, so to pretend I had any answers would be foolish. As a general member of public I'd like to see clear easy to follow signs that a lockdown is easing, or what needs to happen for it to ease. % of hospital capacities, daily case numbers, vaccinated numbers, R rates, give us key indicators and thresholds these need to be under/over for things to ease. I know that info is probably there if I wanted to search for it, but don't rely on the average member of the public to do that, give us a weekly update. The vagueness of when things could ease, how things could ease make it feel like it's going to go on for ever, and then people get selfish. The first lockdown had a sense of togetherness because in fairness, data was presented in a very easy to read way to the general public in good regularity. This may be an awful take....but actually, communications have been really poor since Cummins left.
