  1. Really fancy us now Ings is out. Southampton are a really good side but take Ings out and they become a little toothless. They like to leave space in behind too which should suit us. Same team that beat Newcastle. 2-1 win

    Islam Slimani

Always liked Slim, but we just never played to his strengths and he was never of the quality to force us to do so. Not convinced Lyon is right for him either as they are quite a counter attacking side. Always thought he would suit a dominant team in a lesser league. Could imagine him being a hit north of the border. Any idea if the Lyon move is a loan or permanent?
  3. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a recall clause. We always seem to include them on our loan deals. Agree we won't bring anyone in, but I imagine the temptation is strong to leave him at Luton where he is really coming on. Perez and Iheanacho can all act as cover in that role, or we can push Tielemans slightly further up. Under & Ricardo getting back to fitness throws more bodies in too. The latter could lead to more of 5 at the back, where we don't really play a number 10.
  4. One of those cult hero type figures who's reputation is far greater than his footballing skills. Was lucky enough to see him bag with his first touch against Man City - even luckier to once see him spill an entire bottle of chilli oil over himself at Zizzi's. Fingers crossed for the bloke!
  5. Completely agree, I'm meant to be getting married in June after moving it back a year - pretty sure any decent guest numbers will rely on them really getting vaccines out quickly and I cant help but feel it will not go to plan. They just don't seem competent in even focusing on getting it right.
  6. Agree with this, but he did a solid job in Centre Midfield at times. I was surprised Brendon didn't put him on for last 5-10 against Newcastle to help deal with the balls into the box
  7. It's been noticable that after rightly getting pelters for his corner taking, Maddison has put consistently but really good deliveries in over the last 2 or 3 games. The amount have times they have sailed through in between the 6 yard box and penalty spot is infuriating! Little Wes looks like when it clicks he will be a real threat, he has a great leap.

    Hamza

Really needs games, a loan spell is perfect. I do feel with KDH coming through it may be worth cashing in after a decent loan spell somewhere though. Happy to be proved wrong by the lad.
  9. Finally some sensible selections. We won't bring anyone in over 30. We also, won't bring a "Star" in. We don't need to, we have the best striker in the PL. What we will look to do is bring in someone aged 19-24 who we can bring in and let settle for a year or two as Vardy plays less games each season, with the hope that they eventually replace him before moving on for £60m plus. My shortlist would be Daka, Edouard or Armstrong. Young, quick forwards with good goal records.
  10. Thauvin would not be a good signing in my opinion. Yes he has a good record in France but at 27 his next contract will be a big one. He will either sign for a consistent champions league side or go somewhere for money, and with a player like him having a bad spell in England already that could leave us with a big problem if it doesn't work out.
  11. Obvious after today we need another centre forward (even though I still rate Iheanacho in the right circumstance). Really good players will not move to play 2nd fiddle to Vardy. See names such as Jovic, and it just isn't going to happen. I'd personally love us to go for Armstrong at Blackburn. Quick, but could also play alongside Vardy in a 2, English which helps for squad registrations, and I imagine would jump at the move. Only 23 as well so perfect age.
  12. A) He always looks happy as a pig in mud to be playing. B) He's done really well to come back from his leg break. C) He's really improved on the ball since Brendan came in
  13. I don't get the whole over-confident or arrogant criticisms. I personally don't think that its the case, and I have no problem with a player being arrogant, especially one that plays in a position such as his. He's a young player who is hugely talented but hugely incosistent. He has a lot to work on still. To me he drops too deep too often to get involved, he's best when he lets Youri create from the back and sticks closer to Jamie. If he needs to move to get space he should be going out wide to do so. Some matches will suit him, some won't and it's the ones that don't where he needs to get a greater understanding of how he can still affect the game. I have no doubts he will get there.
  14. I'm usually pretty optimistic, but just feel we will be on the end of a bad loss here. Kasper Justin Fofana Evans Thomas Tielemans Ndidi Perez Praet Barnes Vardy I'm a big Maddison fan, but this isn't the match for him. Hojberg will dominate him, and we will be better off sitting a little deeper and trying to break quickly. I'd also get Wilf to just follow Kane all match, if that means he goes into a back 3 then fine, but just sit on him. Allows Fofana to deal with Son and Evans a spare man.
  15. Weird one last night, I don't think we played particularly badly but just didn't do enough to effect the game enough. Too slow in our passing and not moving it through the lines enough. When we moved it quickly and forward we looked more threatening. One of those nights where everyone was a 6 out of 10 (Apart from Fuchs who had one of his ever more common stinkers). They were really solid defensively, Doucoure was everywhere. Mistake by Kasper and a soft set piece goal and its 2-0, but wasn't the performance of a 2-0 loss. That said, we could still be playing now and we still wouldn't have scored.
  16. There are too many reasons for us to fall away unfortunately. 1) We aren't strong enough mentally 2) We are too inconsistent 3) European football will play its part on our squad (could argue it already is) I still think as good as our start has been, if we qualify for any kind of european football next year it's been a fantastic season.
  17. His agent must be a genius! Who thinks, hmm we've got Shearer and Hargreaves (both good pundits), let's get one more in ....I know, the guy everyone moans about whenever he is on BT.
  18. Man City look so mediocre this year. Full backs have no quality on the ball. Midfield is average at best(apart from De Bruyne of course), no idea how Rodri cost them so much. Gabriel Jesus does nothing week in week out, how low down the premier league would you have to get to find a team he'd start week after week for? Villa? Leeds? Pep isn't a fraud but he is way too stubborn at times and his transfer history is very hit and miss.
  19. Hearn has said £30 in interviews, but then again he also said £25 for Joshua v Ruiz was a one-off, and then charged the same for the Pulev fight (Or Sky did).
  20. I'm not saying Arteta should be sacked just yet, but can you imagine the media and fans if a Dyche or Allardyce had taken over, banished Ozil away, sent Guendouzi out on loan and then kept rabbiting on about getting crosses into the box whilst they averaged less than a goal a game.
  21. Really confused as to how we should go for this. Everton seem to have no full backs, and with Under and Barnes fresh a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 looks dangerous. But then its the whole Evans conundrum, do we go Ndidi or Morgan at the back, and does that mean we play it safer with 3 at the back? Hoping we go for it, Carlo has said he will set up similar to they did at Chelsea so I expect them to sit deep. 4-2-3-1, Maddison in the hole, Ndidi at CB with Mendy coming into midfield for him. Under and Barnes on the wings (Unfortunate for Perez)
  22. Won LaLiga2 with Espanyol last night, now looking at bringing Ozil in on a free
  23. I never usually pay PPV for boxing, think I did for Froch/Groves at Wembley and that's it. I'll happily pay £50 for Fury-AJ (Hopefully it will be a little less than that though). Think Fury does him 9 times out of 10. Hopefully Uysk and Wilder don't deny us.
  24. Tricky tie, will be tough at their place, but I think we are really nicely set up for 2 legged ties. We are rightly favourites but see them being a similar level to Braga.
  25. Tough few matches coming up, and in all honesty a draw wouldn't be a disaster here. I think he will go Kasper Fofana Morgan Justin Albrighton Tielemans Ndidi Thomas Perez Maddison Vardy I may be wrong and he may go 4 at the back, but I think Morgan coming in means he will play it pragmatic. Fuchs looks knackered, so Justin to fit in the back 3 and offer more pace.
