  1. Nothing wrong with criticism of the managers selections/tactics. He has made mistakes in the last few weeks, but we really need to think bigger picture here. We are 4th in the league, and top of our Europa League group. That is incredible if you take injuries into account. No doubt we are going through a spell of bad form but that will always happen from time to time, and managers like players will have periods of poor form. The process is working, but we still have plenty to work on. I'd still be thrilled with European football again next year.
  2. Such a frustrating player. Obviously has bags of talent, but also capable of looking awful. We were spoilt with Riyad really, but I do like Cengiz. He will be a really good test of Brendon's coaching ability as there is definitely a player in there. Should have buried the 1 on 1. Went the wrong side of the keeper for me, should have rolled it in to the near post.
  3. Can see us going to 3 at the back again, especially with Fofana's shaky form. Not sure we can trust him in a two just yet. Kasper Fofana Evans Justin Albrighton Thomas Mendy Tielemans Under Maddison Vardy Barnes has been poor for a few games now and Under has a little bit more creativity. Obviously Wilf and Ricardo to be on the bench. Hopefully Castagne too. Need a win, players look completely done whenever we concede.
  4. No real creativity at all until Maddison came on. We are way too wasteful Infront of goal when chances come along. Too many players waiting for things to happen rather than making them happen. I have no idea what Hamza adds to the team. However, it was always a match we could afford to lose/draw and give some players a rest. We would have quite happily taken this position at start of the group stage. Mentally though, we need a pick up. Just like last season we go into a match against Liverpool purring and come out flat as a pancake.
  5. Do we know of anyone that hasn't travelled? Vardy or Kasper?
  6. Decorated/Furnished a home office and a spare bedroom. Landscaped front and back gardens Delayed my wedding Drank all the wine originally being saved for said wedding Started and quit numerous diet/exercise plans
  7. Agree with this, although worryingly we are seeing bad days at the office occur a little too often. We aren't ruthless enough against poorer sides. A top side create chances when on top, and crucially take them. We don't and teams gain confidence the longer the game goes on against us. I think we are seeing the inconsistency we probably expected given our injuries but the good start to the season made us forget that. I still think if we qualify for europe again this season (whether that be league or cups) it's been a great season.
  8. I'd rest as many as possible. If we end up losing/drawing then a win at home to AEK will still see us top the group so it's a free hit. Ward Soyuncu* Morgan Fuchs Ricardo* Hamza Wilf* Albrighton Under Kelechi Perez Would only play Cags, Ricardo & Wilf for a half. Leave Kasper, Evans, Maddison, Youri & Vardy at home, no point sending them to Ukraine.
  9. This video takes me back! Got this for my 7th Birthday (What kind of 7 year old asks for a management sim?) Honestly cannot remember ever doing anything but signing Nadal for Leicester in every save.
  10. I know Spurs aren't exactly well loved in these parts, but I'd love to see Mourinho win it again. He gets written off so much and has a side that have obviously bought in to his style.
  11. I wouldn't be resting anyone for this, I would make a few changes to freshen it up after Sunday though. Win this and we can put a complete reserve side out against Zorya and AEK. I don't think Braga threatened too much at all at ours, looked slow up top. Kasper Fofana Morgan Evans Justin Thomas Youri Mendy Maddison Barnes Vardy
  12. Such an over-reaction to his performance yesterday. Yes he was poor, as were the whole team. But before that match he was showing signs of being back to his creative best. Has suited the slower pace of the european matches a fair bit more so maybe that's a sign he is still not up to speed after injury.
  13. Have to say I never quite get the "a Labour government wouldn't have done any better". I'm not saying they would have, but we literally will never know. All countries around the world have dealt with this differently than each other in some way or another, with the majority struggling. I don't see how saying it would have been equally as shit with a different government is a counter argument to saying the current one has done an awful job.
  14. Not sure if anyone saw Richard Osman on The Last Leg but he had an interesting theory that Trump could quit, making Pence president until January. Pence could then grant a presidential pardon to Trump, similar to how Ford granted one to Nixon.
  15. Agree with this, and it's a tricky balance. Also agree with StanSP that it's preferable to Boris' bluster. However, even the "Captain Hindsight" tagline is something he hasn't actively looked to squash or fight back against. Difficult circumstance I agree though. I'm a complete floating voter in fairness, very centre ground, so I'm genuinely interested to see what a Starmer Manifesto will look like in 2024, as I am for Ed Davey's Lib Dem plans or dare I say it a Rishi Sunak Conservative campaign? Wouldn't surprise me.
  16. I think they've been a little soft. I quite like Starmer in fairness, but I do have my reservations if he's tough enough. His past career probably calls for constant calm, and no doubt that is a strength but at times I'd like to see him get a little more animated. His calmness at times makes it seem like everything is okay. He needs to be more vigorous in pointing out failures.
  17. Just a complete s**tshow at all times isn't it. As previously mentioned on here too, any decent opposition would be having a field day right now, and still I'd bet on a Tory government next election. Makes me want to get politically involved but aligning to any party right now seems close to impossible.
  18. It's so difficult because of the form some fringe players have hit, and that's the joy of a good squad. Brendon will be able to pick players on form or tactical plans for any set match. If everyone is fit and in 8/10 form and we had a cup final tomorrow, I'd go with this. Kasper Ricardo Fofana Evans Soyuncu Castagne Tielemans Ndidi Maddison Barnes Vardy Think you can go more attacking and put Under in for a centre back and play 4-5-1 when situation suits. Still leaves Justin, Mendy, Praet and Kelechi as really really good options to change things. Best squad we have ever had.
  19. Fofana has done really well to fit into the centre of a back 3 in the last couple of games, the guy plays way beyond his years. But when he went to right centre back at the end of last night you saw how progressive he is on the ball from that position, and how much that is missed when he plays centrally (that's no knock on Justin). It's taken a while for 3 at the back to really click under Rodgers and at times it felt a little forced by him but I think when everyone is fit, a back 3 of Fofana, Evans and Soyuncu looks really really strong.
  20. In a way, that's the point, he could have still been 90% nut job and won the election!
  21. I'd love Edouard but I'm not sold on the fact he would come here to play 2nd fiddle.
  22. Biden has received the most votes in US election history, even more than 2008's Obama-mania. Crazy when you consider how bland he appears (to me at least). Can't help but feel an awful lot of those are anti-Trump votes and if Trump had toned down the controversy by 10% he would have been re-elected.
  23. Think a Vardy backup option is the only area we are really lacking (Other than maybe a specialist left footed left back?) I like the look of Armstrong at Blackburn. Young, quick, knows where the goal is and I would imagine happy to sit on the bench 75% of the time. Also allows Vardy a couple of years to mentor him a little.
