This shows a little bit of why the 3 at the back/4 at the back argument amongst fans is overthought. We switched to a 4, Brendan admitted so, but you won't see Fuchs bombing forward like Justin did, so when attacking we still have 3 at the back. What it did allow was Maddison to get more central and occupy Gross and Bissouma, leaving their narrow wingers having to press Wilf & Youri more. Sometimes 3 at the back will work, sometimes 4 will work...and sometimes, players just play crap or well regardless of system.

@Charl91 Interested to know your thoughts on whether you think schools should have been re-opened they way they have been? To me, it seems obvious they would just be a "spread-fest" for the virus, but I also don't think kids should be going without school, the impact that could have on them is huge. Curious as to what the views are of people on the ground as it were!

Drury and Shearer as commentators absolutely wiped the floor with the dross BT offer.

Really good game again I thought, that 25 minute spell in the first half where we tore through them had a lot to do with his movement of the ball, constantly taking up positions which gave Justin loads of room down the right. He will never be a 15 goal or 10 assist "Winger", but he is really smart in how he plays, presses well too. Has really come back to form since being left out.
-
Fuchs at LB up against Lamptey would be a massacre. Justin handled Traore really well against Wolves, think he will play on the left because of that.
-
Think he has to be in the attacking midfield role when everyone is fit. Praet presses well and gets beyond the forwards at times (something Maddison needs to do more), but Maddison has far more quality on the ball. He has plenty still to work on, such as becoming more of a goalscoring threat and not slowing the pace of attacks down too much, but he has more on the ball quality than other options.....he can stay away from corners though please.

Not a chance that we have the same team as last night (other than Vardy and Kasper of course). There are just way too many matches coming up. Kasper Fofana Evans Fuchs Albrighton Ndidi Tielemans Justin Perez Maddison Vardy Barnes for Maddison if he isn't fit. Yesterday was Under's first 90 minutes all season, I doubt he will be ready to start again. Expect him to come in off the bench and then I think we will go 4-2-3-1 against Everton, with a similar side to the AEK match.

Or the classic "You just wait until Turkey gets in"

Really good last night, I still think he will be an incredibly frustrating player to watch at times, but already his pressing looks to be improving. He will be a really good test of Rodgers coaching ability as he obviously has talent, just needs polishing.

A doddle really wasn't it! Key thing we did this match that we haven't done for a while is that we took our early chances and it allowed us to really boss the game from there.
-
Anyone but Sociedad and Salzburg really, I think we could be really dangerous over two legs.
-
Think if we top the group we would love to get a Young Boys (insert joke here), Tel Aviv or Red Star. The quality is really strong in this competition though, it gets such an undeserved reputation in the UK but I'm loving our Thursday nights.
-
I still think a lot of this is either side seeing who will blink first....there's just a very good chance no-one will.

Next Monday I believe

Kiev and Krasnodar definitely unseeded, and the other unseeded teams will definitely be from Group A & C. So Atleti/Salzburg/Lokomotiv Moscow (Likely Salzburg) & Olympiakos or Marseille (Probably Olympiakos)

Honestly don't see us bringing in anyone in January. Gray and Slimani will likely leave, and at most we bring a striker in on loan to bring in another body.
-
Promising, will be interesting to see what the specifics of those checks will be.

You can buy a player without them getting a work permit, you just cannot use them. In theory, this is one of the main reasons OHL were bought, to get around work permit issues, especially post brexit. Until he meets Work Permit criteria Leicester cannot bring him in to train or play, despite having him under contract.
-
Sowah looks promising. Versatile too, could be a really good squad option. Am I right in thinking a work permit could be tricky?
-
Think we will go relatively strong for this one, finishing top will be great, need some positive momentum too. I'm not a back 3 hater but I'd like to see us go 4-3-3 for this one, more to suit the players who haven't started in the league recently. Kasper Justin Fofana Evans Thomas Mendy Choudhury Praet Under Barnes Kelechi Vardy & Maddison to come on at HT if we aren't winning by then.

Feel sorry for those that voted for Brexit on the understanding no deal wouldn't happen, or that voted Conservative because of Boris' "oven ready deal". They've been well and truly let down

No goalkeeper - brave

People are constantly questioning 3/5 at the back, but I honestly don't think Fofana is really trusted in a two just yet. I think if Cags and one of Ricardo & Castagne were fit we would be seeing 4 at the back a lot more. I don't think we've had a match where we have played well but not got anything because of the formation, it's just an easy finger to point when we don't play well.

World Cup Qualifying Draw - 7th December at 17:00bst
LVFox replied to Wymsey's topic in General Football and Sport
Best case scenario - Slovakia, Greece, Luxembourg, Andorra & San Marino Worst case - Poland, Russia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Cyprus & Malta We usually qualify pretty easily regardless of group in fairness. World cup feels miles away when the Euros haven't been played yet. -
Sheffield United (A) Post match thread 2-1 win
LVFox replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good value for the win today. Unlucky to hit the post twice and they should have been a man down in the first half. Thought we played well, not brilliantly, but well and that's good enough. Also think Brendon got selection and subs spot on. Perez came in and did really well, but it was also the right choice to bring Kelechi on, he allowed us to get further up the pitch at a time Sheff U were getting some confidence, and you leave Maddison on as he is more capable of a moment to change the match. Not every match will be a 10/10 performance, but after a few poor results and what's looked like a lack of confidence, this could be a huge win. Roll on Thursday.
