  1. Was pulling for you guys today, so no celebration here. And now I’ll pipe down, lest I inadvertently turn this into the General News thread.
  2. Assuming Gretzky will be present at the White House for the trophy celebration?
  3. Time to dig out my maple leaf-adorned Tim Hortons mug. Liking these Canada sweaters, too.
  4. At first thought, wondered if this thread was a tongue in cheek statement about how all football decisions are made via Wasserman connections, and now Wasserman is a poisoned chalice of its own, for some separately horrific reasons.
  5. Yes, I rang up the ticket office about purchasing for an April fixture, and was told that the fixture won't be confirmed until 4 weeks before the match in question. To their credit, ticket office is very understanding of my predicament with international travel involved, but it's certainly an inconvenience.
  6. Watching KDH and Justin bantering on a corner
  7. Agreed, wasn’t convinced by that contact. This is far more the compelling watch than the PL match of the week.
  8. At first was surprised, seems every match has been featured on there this season. Guess they finally gave up on us, too?
  9. Watching that at a Bills bar, not far from Buffalo was crushing. That overtime interception was certainly a catch by Cooks, but all the early turnovers were the bigger issue.
  10. Let’s get another while Cov are on their heels. Whole squad looks up for it thus far.
  11. Loving the multiview option on the ESPN app, we can only get this for the FA Cup. All four of the early matches, with the choice of commentary. Much easier to tolerate Leicester on the small screen.
  12. Chelsea spiraling in this first half, thinking they might need to sack the manager…
  13. Angry goal there.
  14. Looking at seeing a jazz-type show at the Koko when visiting London in the spring. Most of the comments here about the venue are over a decade old, wondering if it’s changed much in that time, or if anyone has been there more recently? Seems like we should be queuing early if we want a good vantage point.
  15. Livingston!! Wild start, 3 goals in 8 minutes.
  16. Bourbon, tequila, and clothes. Serious excitement for all of those. Santa also got us a trip to London in the spring that ‘coincidentally’ overlaps with a home match date. My wife enjoyed her first match several years ago, but she’s blissfully unaware of current state of affairs. Let’s see how we’re feeling in the months ahead…
  17. Are we stringing together two decent halves???
  18. Get ready for the tariff message from UPS once the package is in en route. It nearly doubled the cost of the purchase when my wife made a similar purchase, a few months back…
  19. A few days in San Antonio is time well spent. Find yourself a hotel on the River Walk and just enjoy the experience. The Alamo is an easy, free visit nearby with plenty of history. Austin is a lot of fun, and I'd suggest looking to catch a Texas Rangers game while in Dallas (or an Astros game if in Houston). Was in New Orleans a few months back. It's fine, but it's not worth more than a night or two. Not my speed of things, and it just felt dirty. If you're in Texas for any amount of time, you must visit a Buc-ee's. Get some brisket, a t-shirt and experience the highs (and lows) of America, all under one giant roof.
  20. Union Jack Classic, coming to Wembley in 2026. There have been games in Dublin over the last few years, and even some of the more niche sports are getting in on the action, such as the Friendship Four ice hockey tournament in Belfast.
  21. Yes, many hotel options with both, though Boston and New Jersey will be trickier, only because the stadium isn’t in the city. Rail travel exists to the stadiums, but it’s one platform/line adjacent to the stadium for all fans. Don’t get me started on reliability of rail service in New Jersey… Kidding aside, if anyone here fancies a trip over this summer and you’re looking for recommendations on transit, flights, where to stay in different cities, etc, happy to help.
  22. France versus France C team?
