  1. I think though that such decisive action at this early stage - no matter how well merited - would require a level of involvement, decisiveness and clear thinking that is seemingly entirely beyond the capability of any of the senior management currently at the club.
  2. I've got a feeling we might just lose this one
  3. I understand the point you are making but exactly the same could be said about a number of our younger players regarding the lack of opportunities being given to them, are we intending to sell them all?
  4. Really don't agree with this at all, I think we should keep and develop him as one for the future. If he really was showing as little promise as is being suggested, why would so many others seemingly be interested in him?
  5. I've said before on this site so apologies if I repeat myself but it has always seemed to me that the first requirement of management is to ensure that you get the very best that you can out of your staff - as a football manager, that primarily means your players. Apart from perhaps 25 minutes during the second half of the Spurs game, I'm not convinced that SC is currently doing that in terms of team selection, positional play or overall tactics. Then there is the separate question of his role in player recruitment. And as regards yesterday's post-match comments, if he honestly believes we were unlucky in not winning against Fulham I can only think that he wasn't watching the same match as everyone else. Encouraging and supporting the players is one thing but sometimes a bit of clear thinking is needed. Yes we are only two games into the new season but still ..........
  6. It may well be that Steve Cooper is insisting only on more experienced players and ideally those with experience of the Premier League
  7. If we shipped out Soumare I'd be delighted, never mind anything else.....
  8. Quite honestly, when it's LCFC we're talking about, it's never too soon to hit the panic button.....
  9. I would be farm more excited by our signing this guy and Fotis the Greek than ever I would about Wilf Zaha signing. Is that just me being picky?
  10. Rightly or wrongly, I get the feeling we've moved on from this guy to other targets
  11. No, knowing this board of directors they bound to give him a couple of seasons at least to try get things right!
  12. I do respect your opinion, honestly I do but may I ask, have you actually watched any of our pre-season games? Just curious.
  13. I think it's six mate, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
  14. It's a good job we've all got a sense of humour...
  15. Agreed, there is an air of negativity hanging over the club and that can only be as a result of a lack of leadership from the very top of the club. This would simply never have been allowed to happen in Vichai's days and is a reflection of Top's obvious lack of ability and management experience. Rather, the club appears to be regarded just as a promotional tool for the King Power business - pushed to the forefront with Top leading the charge when things are going well and ignored with Top keeping well out of sight in more challenging times.
  16. Tell us how you really feel mate
  17. You may very well be right, particularly in view of our reported recent interest in other goalkeepers which would seem unnecessary without a Mads sale.
  18. I really hope that too but I have to say those hopes are diminishing by the hour.
  19. Comparison websites can be misleading it's true but that ticket cost of £2.50 - or £2.10.0 - as it was in those days is entirely accurate. Sadly, my Father died later that year which led to my keeping the ticket stub as a momento or one of our last days out together. After his passing I started to go to Filbert Street on my own or with school friends when we used to sit in the double decker and for which the ticket cost was - I think but I'm not sure - 7/6d in old money (35p) apparently equivalent to about £9.00 today.
  20. When I was taken to my first ever LCFC match at Filbert Street in 1963 - won 3 - 0, Colin Appleton scored the 1st in the 7th minute - my Father took me to sit in the Centre Stand which was then the most expensive area of the ground and where his adult ticket cost £2.50. I found it interesting to see that, according to two websites I checked this morning, that £2.50 he paid in 1963 is today equivalent to just over £65. Things perhaps don't change all that much bearing in mind that I remember him complaining about the cost then!
  21. They do and it is, I'm not used to this at all........
  22. It was, but not quite as odd as parading a photograph of the Thai King with the players around the pitch in celebration of our winning the Premiership. Unless His Majesty is an investor in the club, that was really odd. And even then, still very odd!
  23. Fine, I hope you're right but look around you. Any reference to the club's existence prior to King Powers takeover has been removed from the stadium, no reference to - or acknowledgement - of the club's previous achievements, trophies or history before that time, just nothing. Other clubs don't do that - they celebrate their history and the lack of any of that from our club really bugs me. Has done for ages. I may be wrong, will happily apologise if I am, but I think Top's involvement and interest in the Leicester community is also far less than that shown by his father.
  24. I've had this really depressing feeling for some time that Top,and his family now just view our club as being King Power's 'works' football team - a means of boosting King Power's status in Thailand when things are going well and something to show off about to his friends. When things aren't going so well of course it seems on past experience that they're nowhere to be seen. It really looks like attittudes towards the club within the company really changed after we lost Vichai, the drive and ambition of his years in charge now seem to be missing.
  25. It's been pointed out before that all the club need to do is to pop down the road to the Tigers shop where they will see both the design and the manufacturing quality of the vast majority of the merchandise on offer is far superior to anything in our Foxes "superstore". You never know, the might get the message and make some effort in future.
