  1. No. There's an active group of swingers at the club and they stick together through thick and thin. Yuk, the thought of that lot in a tangle makes me want to barf.
  2. Stupid or so angry with our plight that you read it too quickly. Easy thing to do.
  3. I don't think that it is stupid comment.
  4. The clue to Rodgers' continual inept gameplay is the possession vs shots.
  5. Nope, still in the bog trying to drop one whilst reading his notepad.
  6. That was one incredible highlight of his time here. Let's not forget though that in that game his major decision during that game resulted in a disrupted defence and an almost immediate own goal. Thankfully it was offside by millimetres and we got our first win.
  7. A doddery old bloke kicks off his carpet slippers, gets a nice cuppa and fresh bun at his favourite teashop then gets a taxi to the stadium. He rambles his way through game plan pointing at the wrong chalkboard diagram then sends his awful team out and they play us off the pitch. Not exactly an accurate description of events but that's just how I feel after that show.
  8. WYS is our anthem and I hope that is stays that way forever. Fans sang with passion in the days of pen 2, pen 3 and on the old away ends. I consider it to be an important part of LCFC's identity. Unfortunately Budds version has the worst tempo which makes it harder to song along to.
  9. Probably bring him on at 80 minutes when we are 1-0 up and under pressure.
  10. Mark Wallington was worse........... For about 15 minutes when he played on after having his right leg shredded by the Shrews striker Bates. Wallo's replacement Young was probably about on par with Ward
  11. The fans and Danny Ward.
  12. The man has imposter syndrome (only it's without the syndrome bit).
  13. Nah. Too much of a pay cut.
  14. Given how vague the statements usually are this could mean that he has had a sore throat or is on the verge of multiple organ failure.
  15. I'm in the camp of taking as much away from the on field ref as possible. A timer, which is displayed on the screens, stops immediately when there is any type of stoppage. This means all stoppages including throw ins and when a player just sits down to have their real (or imaginary) injury checked . The timer only starts again when the ball is kicked or the throw is taken. The game would stop at 90 minutes and that would be it with no exceptions, ie when the ref allows the final move to play out. Var will still be there to inform the on field ref if they have screwed up. There will be no fourth official for the coaches to continuously moan, plead with or scream at. I'd even move the coach's technical area back to pretty much the bench. I'm sure that the players don't find the constant screaming and gesticulating helpful. Var can still help with offsides. My choice would be that they go back to having the simplist system which is that any body part is included. The furthest body part forward is used whether it is a foot, a hand, someone's backside or even Mesut Ozils eyeballs.
  16. Perez would have been lynched already if the FA Cup final goal had been ruled out for handball. As it was the goal stood and Perez will be remembered for that. Unfortunately that is one of very few highlights. He can play quite well in a high press or general closing down in a role supporting the striker. If he could play better in another element of forward play then he would be a success. I guess that he has dined off of one good season at Newcastle and it happens quite often at this level. I think that he needs to drop a level and enjoy his football again, even if that means us paying part of his wages until his contract expires.
  17. His injury record + our injuries record = what could possibly go wrong
  18. I think that he is already there. In white ball, he's cemented in and if we had won the last home Ashes series off the back of his performances Stokes would be there in test cricket also. Today's astonishing victory was achieved without Wood, Archer, Bairstow, Foakes, Broad, Buttler or Curran. If this is the template then it will be with those huge tasks of winning in India and/or Australia in mind. A win in Pakistan, another at home and then in India and Stokes is right up there as captain. Huge tasks ahead for sure but what a ride it could be.
  19. I agree with this. This tournament will only be a success if we get something out of the France game. Beating Wales, Iran and an under-strength Senegal side is nothing to get overexcited by, especially given the bore draw vs USA. Even going out after a battling score draw vs France and a peno shoot out might make it an acceptable failure. However, not playing the Premier League's in form no 10 would be a huge mistake and Southgate would rightly be criticised for this, even if he has created an excuse not to. The England squad have a team of medical professionals and Physiotherapists at their disposal so you cannot tell me that they could not make a sensible, cautious decision to advise Southgate not to bother picking Maddison for Quatar. Quatar? Qatar. That's it!
  20. Looks like they have done given how many people seem to be trying to stop something from dropping on their heads.
  21. Fox's...... Mints or biscuits. But leave off the mints or biscuits bit.
  22. It's that approach that has got us up financial s##tstreet.
  23. I went to most Leicester games during that era. I also went to a few others, including Liverpool. I agree with your comments. I still feel sadness as well as some anger for the death of the innocents that day. The perpetrators were not just the police, Hillsborough and the authorities in general but some 'fans' who were there. I remain angry at them also and the continued denial and hypocrisy of many involved. I think that safe standing should return and definitely without fencing.
  24. Nor are the BBC.
  25. I hope that the Thai police aren't allowed to shoot people if they protest against the regime.
