Do you think Top is looking to sell the Club
DoveValleyFox replied to holyfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Quite true. I wonder if the problem is that KP will not go ahead with stadium expansion without consent for the other parts of the redevelopment project. It would have been interesting to have known whether the council would have granted consent very quickly on the stadium alone. -
I don't exactly believe that this is true, but if there is something going on within the family or company then now might be one of the better times to put the club up for sale.

Imagine if, like cricket they could fine him 50% of his match fee 😳. Ouch!

All time English LCFC 11 vs LCFC International 11s

You can definitely be forgiven. This must be the first time that Elvis Hammond has been included in any 'best of' team of any kind............ Ever -
Gotta love that 'Do I look like a give a fvck' expression on the moggy's face

Maybe not the greatest but Tommy Williams never managed to get a Scotland call up and I think that he was good enough.

I get far more excited if I am at a game. Unfortunately I could not get a ticket for many of the biggest games in our recent history such as the 2021 FA cup final or Chelsea v spurs. I definitely went into a celebration like no other when we won the league, such was the achievement. The FA Cup final was a very close second but had I attended that game it would almost certainly have been better. The craziest I have ever celebrated at a game was when Walsh put us 2-1 up against Derby in 1994. After attending two consecutive final defeats the emotion for that game was like a champagne cork exploding. Strangely that was even better than the League Cup final wins although the win against Middlesbrough came very close.

Former Manager Remembers: Brian Little
DoveValleyFox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I absolutely think of Little as a legend. He pulled us back from the brink and gave us an awful lot to cheer. He could have moved away as early as 1992 and we'd have taken a real hit. I was as upset as most people when he left and even felt animosity for a while but underneath it all I understood his decision. All of the play off semi finals under Little and the silence of the rams remain solid highlights of my life as a Leicester City fan. -
Cricket (None Leicestershire County Cricket Club)

That surely has to be one of the great match winning centuries for England, against the world champions and a quality seam attack. If Root had gone cheaply England would not have won that. -
Does anyone know if this would be all ticket?

Regardless of whether Watford are already down, poor and deflated, I'd have loved to have witnessed a 5-1 away win in the PL.

I have a tear in my for the poignant reminder 😢 Of how so many of us were sad, desperate fv-kers back then. Bristol City thought that they had destroyed our dreams but could do nothing about our destiny.

How exactly can you confirm that there COULD be contract talks? Congratulations on the scoop Tanner.

Youri's Goal of the Century Thread

You are absolutely right. On top of that, it didn't even directly result in a goal because it entered a new phase of play the moment that Thomas picked up the loose ball. -
PROVIDE YOUR THOUGHTS ON SINGING SECTION TRIALS
DoveValleyFox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Did you not see the International news headlines a few years ago how us vs Norwich are high risk fixture? (Just in case, I am referring to them not giving us a full allocation of tickets for the FA Cup match when we were in the Championship) -

Silly, you are supposed to snog the person who you are next to when tha camera trains upon you, regardless of who they are or what they look like -
I agree, he is but he is now starting to pick up injuries so his responsibilities should be on scoring and assisting goals. It is the manager's job to create a solid defensive system and to put your best goalscorer in the best position to do just that. I'm speaking about the best way to get our GOAT to a golden PL landmark.

Those three will not be in the PL for more than two. They will want at least one huge payday abroad before they finish and this would need to be while they are still firing. Lukaku will be gone even sooner, for sure. If Vardy is managed sensibly he will get 30 in the next two seasons, meaning that he stays well clear.
-
Yes but he needs to be managed properly. Try a season where he is left on the halfway line when we are defending corners. It would improve his chances of maintaining his goal tally and create an 'out' ball. It would also reduce his risk of injury while defending corners (which does happen as he always commits 100%). More time on the pitch could give him a realistic target of 15 in each of the next two (and probably final) seasons with us. 150 PL goals would be such a glorious way to bow out.

You are right, they were very good. That said, I went to every match during the run in of 2007/8 and our fans were incredible, home and away. Barnsley away during that run in and Wednesday home are examples of incredible atmospheres, up there with the best in victory and defeat. It just shows what a common cause brings, whether it be an unexpected top 4 run in, a cup run or a relegation fight. Mid table in any division always puts supporters on edge, especially if more is expected, which it is.
