Chelsea (H) 23rd November - Pre-match Thread
Bordersfox replied to Trav Le Bleu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah we may have injuries and suspensions to our best players, we may be facing a multi-billion pound team with Cole Palmer in it... but never, ever forget thst Cooper has had two weeks to continue implementation of the masterplan. This is the game it all clicks and he proves everyone of you doubters wrong. Dumplings are gonna get multiplied, the crowd will be roaring in crescendo 'oh wout faes is in our backline what a guy (what a guy!), to the tune of she's coming round the mountain (of course!) 0-8 to Chelsea with a brace of own goals by Wout. -
Can any techy people help with this? I have a legacy (think that's the wanky term for it) sound system inherited from my old man (not dead just deaf). It's a really good set up with a turntable that goes to a pre-amp and then the main amp. Only issue is we're sometimes in the kitchen or snug when we want to listen to vinyl so I want to be able to stream the music via speakers into other rooms. There's hundreds of records including proper obscure stuff that will never be on Spotify etc Anyone have any experience with streamers like Wiim or Sonos Port? Are they easy to set up? Is the sound quality okay etc? Presumably they connect to the amp and you then use an app to stream to whichever wireless speaker you want?

Agreed. And I respect the fact he's willing to put himself in the firing line. But that appearance felt a little too much like hubris.

This made me lolz thinking about the time Neville went on HIGNFY and Hislop, unsurprisingly, tore him a new arshole about his hypocrisy over Qatar world Cup. It was absolutely wonderful.

Far too reasonable for my liking. Soumare over Skipp alone is a sackable offence. We've seen zero discernible improvement, plan or coherent direction of travel tactically under Cooper. Seeing Cooper manage this team is like watching Ric trying to play pin the tail on the donkey after ten pints. Wild stabs in the b@stard dark. Complete mess the whole thing. -
Been a few years but Huis was very good when I was last there. Probably more towards an eatery but there is a bar, decent selection of beers. Food was excellent. The hole in the wall I remember being good. In fact I vaguely remember being surprised at there being a few decent pubs but can't remember names of the others now, sorry.

Manchester United 3 - 0 Leicester City - Post Match Thread

Repulsive game of football. It's very clear Man Us league position is entirely warranted. It's also very clear that we are about to go on a horrible winless streak under Cooper. -
The responsibility for that dirge today is Cooper. But the responsibility for him being our manager and likely still being our manager for Chelsea is all on the board. Show some fvcking b0llocks you shameless scoundrels and make a decent managerial appointment now whilst there is still time. I feel nothing but pity for Cooper, he's not going to sack himself so it's rinse and repeat as we watch him looking utterly lost, confused and anxious on the touchline game after game. How do a club go from an ambitious/leftfield appointment like Maresca to this? Absolutely tragic.

Every week the board doesn't act is a week wasted, there will be no progression and no improvement under Cooper, that much has become obvious. He simply isn't a very gifted coach and whilst he's been lucky, that luck has now run out. The players also now look disinterested. I actually feel for the guy as he's totally out of his depth, floundering badly and it's embarrassing to watch. Top do Cooper a favour and put him out of his misery.

If we were to buy him back from Chelsea on a five year contract at the price they paid am I right in thinking that wouldn't cause them any FFP issues and we could then amortise the transfer fee over the five years?

Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest Tactical Analysis

Vardy is scoring but (and this is purely on the eye test) I am far from convinced he's making enough of a contribution otherwise to warrant playing 90m every game. -

I actually thought, given the opponents and the occasion, this probably wasn't the best game to try and re-introduce Enzo’s system. A blood and thunder approach may have been more effective. I think Skipp has to be in the team but then I wouldn't want to drop Ndidi or Facundo so that leaves Winks - who was really effective first half. Or I suppose Fatawu out with Facundo on the right but I think Fats needs game time and i want us to develop our own players above loan players. We actually have some really decent options in midfield I think. Overall, formation aside the real concern is Justin and Ricardo, both look like they are floundering defensively and can be exposed at will by pacy wingers. -

Is the system good for this league given our players and perhaps most importantly our manager? I've been an advocate that our squad is better than a lot of people think. However, maybe I've been naive. One of our best players technically, Winks, couldn't make a 5 yard pass to Fatawu. We conceded. There were lots of errors, perhaps seemingly individual but were they encouraged by a more intricate system? There were definitely games last season where very poor finishing saved us. Against Forest a mid-tier prem striker, albeit in decent form, punished us clinically for two mistakes. A couple of tweaks to his own system and NES had Cooper on toast, Cooper seemed unable to make any meaningful impact on the game. Is this a system Cooper is tactically astute enough to manage and adapt in game as needed? That's what I'm concerned about. Thanks, as always, for the work put in to your analysis. -

Skipp has played at LB for Spurs on occasion I think and did pretty well. Might be a bit too experimental for Brexit Steve. -
A holistically bad performance in the second half where neither the players, nor manager, come away with any credit.
-
Yes I thought I'd dozed off and they'd been talking about a previous game between Ston and Brighton when I saw that. Very odd.
-
For this alone I struggle with Cooper. They play on different wings Steve. Do yourself and us all a favour and play both.

Excellent as always lads. Whilst I fundamentally disagree with Jordan on Cooper he does make some decent points. In any event I think it's good to have a balance of opinions and a reasoned and reasonable debate. -
That's immediately fixed it for me
