  1. Stop! He's Italian, not Austrian!! Take a Cornetto instead!
  2. You might be right, although the people I tend to notice moaning and shouting 'Forwards!' are usually blokes fortyish or very often younger. Anyway, I'm old, and I'm loving it.
  3. And two of those four were from deflected shots. And one was when we'd been down to ten men for the whole second half. So really only once.
  4. Third? Maybe second, if you prefer this to last time we were in the Championship. Maybe fourth, if you rate the Dunkirk-style achievement of the great escape more highly. All personal choices. To be honest, it's better not to bother trying to rank things*, but to enjoy the good ones whenever they come. *but obvs 2015-16 is the best season...
  5. For all that Cannon looks far more likely than Daka to score himself if he gets half a chance, the fact is that with Cannon up front the last few games, as a team we've barely looked like scoring at all. When Daka's there, chances appear all over the place for everyone. I'm not enough of a tactician to explain why this is, but I'm guessing it's because Daka's off the ball movement is way more effective, and/or he's better at putting others through.
  6. One last shop window attempt with Daka? Cannon has shown his ability, we can’t shift Nacho and Vardy is around when needed…. Might be our best bet at a cash raise in the next two days? I reckon it's more that Daka's the best we have at doing what Enzo wants the player in that position to do.
  7. Never mind since 2000, how many clubs have won all three English trophies full stop? Can't be many, surely...?
  8. So all this fuss about a lack of midfielders, and we had cover available all the time?
  9. Both our kids first went when they were four, and loved it. We went with both parents though, and just posted them through the turnstile between us! If it's just you and a three year old and you don't want to post them through ahead of you, I'd ask the club if there's another way in.
  10. Not without a spectacular drop in our results, and nothing's happened to make that look at all likely.
  11. And that'll be us! Be optimistic!
  12. Cannon possibly looks more likely to score himself. But when Cannon's there, nobody else ever looks much like scoring at all. Daka's movement opens things up all over the place.
  13. Not sure Enzo sees it like that. I'm probably wrong though I think he saw him as first choice in the few games up to AFCON. Not until then though.
  14. So as both Ipswich goals were due to deflected shots from distance, and at Coventry we were down to ten men, we've dropped points due to late proper goals in normal circumstances precisely twice! Mr Glass half full, I am.
  15. Well the answer to this should be 'anyone intending to drive afterwards.' Some cocktails have loads of alcohol in 'em.
  16. I prefer the recent version, the whole cast is brilliant. But then I'm not much of a John Wayne fan tbh.
  17. Nah... Leprechauns are too small; they get outmuscled, especially in midfield. You can't rely on unicorns, they're too flighty. And bridge trolls did well as defenders in the sixties and seventies (Norman Hunter, Chopper Harris, Tommy Smith...), but they're just red card magnets in the modern game.
  18. It's much harder to close gaps at the top than at the bottom. Teams at the top don't tend to go on losing runs. I'm not suggesting for a minute that we can't lose a few games on the trot. We might. But there's nothing to suggest we will. All the panicky doom-mongering on here is based on one game at Cov where yes we weren't great but may well not have lost but for the sending off, and the fact that Ndidi's injured. Which is funny considering the stick Enzo got on here for playing Ndidi in the role he's now apparently indispensable in.
  19. He was a knob when he was a player; doesn't sound like he's become any less of a knob since. Tw*t.
  20. It'll be one from back when everyone watched the same telly as each other so we all saw the same ads. So from back before phones, internets and streamings. Something from the 90s maybe?
  21. Nowhere near enough people have said Granby Halls. Part of the fabric of Leicester for generations. Come to that, nowhere near enough people have said Filbert St. Part of the fabric of Leicester for generations.
  22. Harsh. He's what, just turned 21? Players develop differently; they aren't all Rooneys. I don't think KDH had kicked a ball for the first team when he was the age Casadei is now, and he's become a useful player.
  23. Has there been another game this season when both our wingers were so utterly anonymous for the entire first half? Add in the fact that apart from the one excellent effort he got off, Cannon looked like a fan who won a 'be a professional footballer for a day' competition, and I can't remember us looking so utterly toothless this season. Still - no winger is ever going to dominate every game. Especially when they play every game. It's just a shame when they both have a duff game at the same time. And I'm not writing Cannon off on one poor game. If anything, the fact he still almost nabbed one even though he may as well not have been there the rest of the time might be encouraging. It was a crap game and it's done. Next, please!
  24. Senior citizens do take longer to recover from stuff...
  25. But of course he's having to do it in a much weaker team, so who knows...?
