It's just knee jerk reaction every time isn't it? They need to have a well defined and easily implementable system in place. Financial penalties will again only benefit those with super rich owners to whom another few million makes no difference (Newcastle's blood money will be flowing like water). There needs to be some sort of on-field consequence to get it taken seriously. If points deductions are unfair, what about having a cap on the value/salary of your matchday squad? Buy as many ludicrously expensive players as you like but you can only field so many of them at one time.

Union FS - Tifo for Jamie Vardy

Donated. Good work folks. Hopefully the club can get their heads out of their arses long enough to realise this really matters. -
Why aren't we making actual substitutions in games?
Death by Football replied to LFox99's topic in Leicester City Forum
It seems to me that because Enzo is completely fixed on one system the subs he makes are always like for like. As injuries and fatigue kick in then these like for like subs are always going to weaken the team. You’re subbing on an inferior player to do the same job. He doesn’t use the bench to ask questions of the opposition (and I don’t mean stick the big lad up front and hit it long). -
Hopefully to the tune of “You can’t always get what you want” by the Rolling Stones.

Jannick has to come back in for his range of passing. He’s the metronome player that keeps the play ticking then starts the attacks.

Am I the only one bothered that they put the left foot on the right side of the graph and the right foot on the left side?

I find it depressing whenever we are looking at a new signing and we spend more time debating the impact of their wages and purchase fee on our FFP restrictions than we do discussing whether they’re any good. In theory FFP had the opportunity to rebase player and contract values at a lower/more sustainable level but in reality all it does is return us to the days where the big six clubs have absolute dominion again.

So best case scenario is we beat Hull and Leeds and Ipswich lose their 2 games Leicester 84 (with a game in hand) Ipswich 78 Leeds 76 My glass is half full today.

If it weren’t for the potential existential threat to the club of not getting promoted I’d be FA Cup every day of the week. I’d swap an extra season in the championship for an FA Cup trophy and the chance to be at the final this time. Unfortunately I think this hypothetical choice is between an FA Cup and administration, points deductions and 5-10 years in the doldrums of the lower leagues which is far less palatable. Those saying it would be typical Leicester to win the FA Cup from the second division - it’s more like Leicester to blow promotion, then lose the FA Cup 😂

Sunderland (A) - Tuesday 5th March - 7.45pm

Oh ****...is it green bin day?! -
Still possible that all three relegated teams go back up and also looking likely that all three promoted teams get relegated. For all the FFP concern, it’s clear that the prem is more of a closed shop than it ever was.

Journalists don’t use the word “whence” enough these days.

I doubt there’ll be many examples of blowing leads like ours because it’s extremely rare to build a lead like we have/had in the first place. It’ll only take another win to clear some of the negativity and get us back on track and if Ricky and Wilf can get fit and stay fit we have every chance of reversing the trend and hanging on to win. I think we’ve been guilty of underestimating ourselves and over estimating the competition all season.

It feels nice to be the underdog for a change. -

Our second string doing well. Forgotten how much I hate the premier league diving behaviour. -

Bournemouth look f-in massive compared to our players. -
I'm normally really up for us giving it everything in the cup but for once I think we take the less adventurous option and rotate. A big loss against a bogey team doesn't then impact morale as much as it could if our first eleven take a beating. Also need to avoid injuries to our key players for the run in. Pains me to say it but we need to prioritise the league.

If he plays this well until the end of the season he can have a go on top my sister.
-
I'd be very surprised if he didn't play Winks. I would expect he just says put it behind you and we move on.

It’s always a rollercoaster following Leicester.

With the high risk style we play we will see the occasional one of these errors. Fortunately we're restricting it to a couple of times a season rather than a couple of times a match like under BR. Winks has been one of the stand out players of the season so he gets a pass on the odd mistake. Basically we saw the best and the worst outcomes from our style of play yesterday.

I'm delighted he's getting a good spell in the team and showing what we hoped he would be capable of when we signed him. I thought he would leave and go and score a hatful for another team in Europe somewhere. So pleased he's doing it for us instead.

One thing you have to consider is there is still a lot of trauma from the last few years of Brendan ball and the idea of control that crumbles under the slightest amount of pressure. I’m sure most of us can see there is a difference between Enzo ball and Brendan ball but it’s still going to take some time for those scars to heal. A concern for me is that when the better teams don’t play a low block against us and put serious pressure on our defence in possession we are still seeing some of the previous frailties appear. The one difference I would like to see is not more long balls but more pace in our play. It’s the very slow build up not the direction of play that I find tedious.
