  1. Where’s Ulloa when you need him?
  2. Blackburn haven't taken their full allocation apparently...check the website later if still looking for tickets. Members 15+ points
  3. Absolutely. And a plan c,d,e… so you can react to what’s happening. Simple example: if your inverted full back means the opposition keep targeting the space in behind and isolating the CBs consider using him as an overlapping fullback in the traditional sense and give them something new to think about. Especially if your fullback happens to be one of the best attacking fullbacks in the entire bleeding country.
  4. All Enzo needs to do is accept there is more than one way to play football and open his mind to the possibility of trying something different occasionally, dependant on how the match is going.
  5. While I agree with much of your post, Norwich weren’t made to look awful. They just were awful. Most insipid, timid performance from any team I’ve seen in years. Absolutely zero intent. Anyone that comes and puts us under pressure stands a great chance of getting a result.
  6. Wishful thinking at my age...
  7. I don't like his rigidity of playing style but think he can still come good. It's fine to hire an inexperienced manager with strong ideas of how he wants to play. You can't make it as a manager if you don't have belief in your way of doing things. But to do that I think you need the guidance of a real Director of Football with actual experience of the game who can offer some advice from time to time on how things can be improved and be a sounding board for the manager. We have no football people at the top of the club so to an extent the tail wags the dog.
  8. Farke has no reason being there. He’s achieving what would be expected with the resources available to him. Enzo shouldn’t be either, except for the fact that he oversaw a record breaking first half of the season. McKenna will win it and rightly so. Were it not for the record breaking start of Leicester it would have been Ipswich breaking records with a newly promoted side. What he’s achieved has been damn near miraculous (regardless of lucky deflected goals).
  9. That's my concern also. Especially as it will be done for appearance sake rather than any meaningful benefit to the club's finances. You could get rid of the £80k per week wages of one average overpaid player and have the same net impact as culling 100 staff earning £40k per year. p.s. Rudkin Out!!
  10. It's just knee jerk reaction every time isn't it? They need to have a well defined and easily implementable system in place. Financial penalties will again only benefit those with super rich owners to whom another few million makes no difference (Newcastle's blood money will be flowing like water). There needs to be some sort of on-field consequence to get it taken seriously. If points deductions are unfair, what about having a cap on the value/salary of your matchday squad? Buy as many ludicrously expensive players as you like but you can only field so many of them at one time.
  11. Donated. Good work folks. Hopefully the club can get their heads out of their arses long enough to realise this really matters.
  12. It seems to me that because Enzo is completely fixed on one system the subs he makes are always like for like. As injuries and fatigue kick in then these like for like subs are always going to weaken the team. You’re subbing on an inferior player to do the same job. He doesn’t use the bench to ask questions of the opposition (and I don’t mean stick the big lad up front and hit it long).
  13. Hopefully to the tune of “You can’t always get what you want” by the Rolling Stones.
  14. Jannick has to come back in for his range of passing. He’s the metronome player that keeps the play ticking then starts the attacks.
  15. Am I the only one bothered that they put the left foot on the right side of the graph and the right foot on the left side?
  16. I find it depressing whenever we are looking at a new signing and we spend more time debating the impact of their wages and purchase fee on our FFP restrictions than we do discussing whether they’re any good. In theory FFP had the opportunity to rebase player and contract values at a lower/more sustainable level but in reality all it does is return us to the days where the big six clubs have absolute dominion again.
  17. So best case scenario is we beat Hull and Leeds and Ipswich lose their 2 games Leicester 84 (with a game in hand) Ipswich 78 Leeds 76 My glass is half full today.
  18. If it weren’t for the potential existential threat to the club of not getting promoted I’d be FA Cup every day of the week. I’d swap an extra season in the championship for an FA Cup trophy and the chance to be at the final this time. Unfortunately I think this hypothetical choice is between an FA Cup and administration, points deductions and 5-10 years in the doldrums of the lower leagues which is far less palatable. Those saying it would be typical Leicester to win the FA Cup from the second division - it’s more like Leicester to blow promotion, then lose the FA Cup 😂
  19. Oh ****...is it green bin day?!
  20. Still possible that all three relegated teams go back up and also looking likely that all three promoted teams get relegated. For all the FFP concern, it’s clear that the prem is more of a closed shop than it ever was.
  21. Journalists don’t use the word “whence” enough these days.
  22. I doubt there’ll be many examples of blowing leads like ours because it’s extremely rare to build a lead like we have/had in the first place. It’ll only take another win to clear some of the negativity and get us back on track and if Ricky and Wilf can get fit and stay fit we have every chance of reversing the trend and hanging on to win. I think we’ve been guilty of underestimating ourselves and over estimating the competition all season.
  23. It feels nice to be the underdog for a change.
