  1. Bournemouth’s press is very good, we will have to be assured in possession when playing out if we are to get through. Definitely want Winks and Ricardo (at right back) in there for this one. With Fatawu, Mavididi and Cannon/Daka up top, there is definitely a good chance for us to create opportunities if we beat their press.
  2. And helped us win the FA Cup and finish 5th two seasons running. Praet is the worst player of the 4. Doesn’t even get into our current best midfield.
  3. Why is it that every time he has a decent game that people say he was under utilised? We had a midfield 3 of Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi, genuinely one of the best in the Premier League at times when they played together He’s a tidy player but average.
  4. I liked him at QPR but he’s become a bit of a joke ever since he went on to join Rangers. Looks like he’s a talented coach but not a leader/manager material.
  5. League cup we beat Fulham at home (4-3 I think it was), then lost to Man City at home.
  6. I think there's 2 things that hinder us from playing at max potential currently. One is an advanced playmaker (hopefully Sensi solves this, if he comes in) and the other is having a left footed defender on that side. Seems that this slows our attacks and allows opposition to get back in to shape. I'd like to see Doyle back in the starting line up soon, even though I do think Hamza did ok last night.
  7. We would do if Daka, Iheanacho and Fatawu were available.
  8. Definitely highlights the need for a creative midfield player. Cannon looks better and better with every game - think we've got a gem here. Ipswich extremely lucky, but our fault for keeping them in the game to that point.

    Daka

Lots of members of FA Cup winning squad that aren't legends.
  10. Also think that drafting and college football would be better in this country than current academies. Do it by areas, rather than big clubs hoovering up all the talent. Also protects kids from thinking they’ve made it as a teenager when they’re on the books of one of the big clubs.
  11. What are the chances of getting 4 tickets together on general sale?
  12. Possibly, but he's stayed fit for the last 18 months which is encouraging. Harry Winks and Ricardo looked like their careers had been ruined by injuries, but both look like they have put them behind them now. Hard to say no to someone of Sensi's quality for the price they want, especially when you are where we are as a club - could be a shrewd bit of business gambling on his ability to stay fit. What would you suggest we do instead if we were to bring someone else in?
  13. Sensi is Premier League standard, though. So signing him does exactly what you want us to (prepare for next season).
  14. Got a feeling that we're happy to be patient with Casadei. The potential is there. Can see us taking him on loan again next season in the Premier League as he certainly won't be getting in Chelsea's side. Maresca might be happy to play the long game as we can possibly see Chelsea making another lapse of judgement on a promising young talent - sign him, loan him out a few times and then sell for below market value. Hopefully we benefit from that.
  15. If you wanted to use a more successful ex-academy player that never played for us you could put Cedric Kipre in there
  16. Musa and Slimani dream team up top. That night in Sheffield
  17. It wasn't two-footed, one leg was withdrawn. I think it's a very strong yellow card offence. Ref should have booked him and told him that even the most minor thing after that and you're off.
  18. 15 years ago too, not sure how that translates to today's money but I imagine we'd be after more. As would probably Leeds and Burnley, too. Hopefully this is the start of some real consequences for Everton.
  19. Exactly. They stayed up at our expense because they broke the rules, and the consequences are bigger for us than they are for them, so far. Also, chances are that if we were in the Premier League, we could be just as bad as last season and still stay up, due to how bad the promoted sides are.
  20. Not quite sure how Everton are releasing a statement saying it's "unjust" when the figures quite clearly show that they have broken the rules.
  21. Harsh on Coady. Coady is a better passer of the ball, for starters. This is someone who's won several caps for England, don't think Souttar has ever been at that level.
  22. It’s called a winger. They’re usually inconsistent unless they’re world class. It’s the nature of their game.
  23. The holding midfield role is probably the least physically demanding role within this system, which is partly why I think we’ve seen Winks play so well, as well as him also having played above this level throughout his career. I’d put more money on Braybrooke being introduced quicker into the fold than Alves for this reason and because we will want to start Winks in every league game possible as he’s so integral. This system is perfect for Braybrooke to break through in with the game he plays, and I can see Maresca integrating him in slowly and with good effect, too. Absolutely ideal manager to bring the best out of him with his philosophy on football and how important the number 6 role is in our set up.
  24. He hasn't got the athleticism to be one of the 8s in this system, unfortunately.
  25. He’s like a German Raumdeuter-type player. Julian Brandt, Kai Havertz, Thomas Muller mould.
