  1. Sounds like Rudders is not bringing his kids to games to hear the fans chanting about him, which is fair enough. I can imagine it would be upsetting.
  2. He’s turned down the Italian job. Staying at Roma in an executive role.
  3. You forgot seeing the cost go up every year well beyond inflation. Agreed. For the UK Nuclear is essential imo, a few good power stations will support the transition to renewable energy.
  4. I'd rather we spent a few years building a squad, playing our own young players. Then again I don't have to watch it every week.
  5. Da dum tish. His obituary shows he was an impressive man. RIP.
  6. We should only be loaning players we have a realistic chance of adding to the squad in next summer should we find ourselves back in the premier league. So either promotion option clauses or players who are clearly not going to be breaking into their prem clubs squad in the next year or two. As we know there is a huge difference between good enough to go up and good enough to be even on the bench for a mid to upper table side. so shouldn't be impossible.
  7. No there isn't. It does matter if we sack him today, agree to sack him but make the payment on the 1st of July, put him on gardening leave, appoint someone else and then let him go after July, or pay him his usual salary monthly until the end of his contract. All of these result in an immediate provision for the full cost of his contract in the current financial year. All the clever ways have been tried before and the accounting rules are specifically designed to overcome them. ANY action which results in him leaving - even if only obvious after the fact, would result in the cost being in this year's books.
  8. Finally went into a brewery / bar in South Fremantle called Running with Thieves which we keep driving past. Nice burger and pint of their session pale ale. Bit weak but I was driving so the West Coast IPA 6.4% my wife enjoyed would have been more interesting. Nice spot though, sat outside in some winter sunshine, 23 degrees. Gotta love WA.
  9. The switch 2 thing would be going great if I could login into my Nintendo account, or indeed speak to nintendo to get them to send my email verification to an email that will actually receive it. Unhappy 12 year old cannot play half his games after 5 days...
  10. As the occupying force they would be responsible for the safety of anyone they allowed in, so no chance they were about to let that boat through. There has been a naval blockade for a long time.
  11. Obviously the IDF have intercepted the Greta boat. Really not sure what they are trying to accomplish to be honest but wouldn't wish them to come to any harm.
  12. Sounds like my mother in law. We’ve not had contact with her for over a decade but she still sends almost daily messages to my wife about how wonderful she is despite all the awful ailments she has and how everyone thinks we are awful but never once asking a question or expressing interest.
  13. Pay per play and he funds his treatment..
  14. That would still trigger a full accrual I believe.
  15. Accounting standards. It’s nothing to do with the payment and everything to do with the action of terminating his contract.
  16. Yes, but given where we are it would be stupid to trigger that. So shouting at the Board for not doing so is a bit pointless.
  17. ANY public announcement regarding Ruud leaving would trigger an accrual for his full payout in this financial year. They are delaying for PSR purposes.
  18. Of course they have spoken to Ruud, don't believe everything you read.
  19. He really isn't though. Very little experience, and not a lot of success in that period either as a coach or manager.
  20. A loan then presumably?
  21. Clubs don't do this this though, and there is no good reason why ours should be any different.
  22. I had quite high hopes for Ryan, and just wish he had managed to stay fit for more than 5 minutes. Still I expect the insurance paid all his wages.
  23. I would be pretty happy with Dyche actually. I look forward to him identifying a brand new chip for his shoulder in our favour, and to finding out what it is.
  24. They deserve each other. I think we should just let Rudders be the manager.
  25. The facts are wrong man, not the Trump! Get new facts!
