  1. I have a season ticket for the first time this season and was expecting to have to make a call or get guidance but checked this morning and it has updated to show sheff weds game, kick off time etc. So it would seem all is in order and just scan at turnstile. Less faff than i thought it would be in truth.
  2. Lad next to me that day said "next one, he never misses 3" after the second missed sitter......we know how that turned out. Terrible all round that day. The whole team got a "what the f**cking hell was that " at the end if i recall. Anyway , im digressing
  3. Disappointed, but you still go back for the odd roll after a few drinks now and again πŸ˜‚ But yes, its never the same.
  4. One of my school mates used to live on burnmoor street and often had a new football. He claimed he used to wait in the street for a ball to come over the east stand on match day. How true it was i dont know but they were the best footballs on the school field tbf. Maybe hes on here, i dont know. If you are stuart, come on now tell the truth 🀣
  5. Great for a Leicester accent though all those lovely y's. Twenteh is plenteh realleh
  6. Post horn gallop.....yes. With all the modern fan cam, flame throwers, dance music after a win etc etc, this is a throw back and pretty unique. I never tire of it and hope it never gets replaced. I also like the duh der duh duh on radio leicester after a goal when i dont get to matches. I only remember it changing once and that was last season when they played hallelujah after our first goal in about 9 games 🀣
  7. 🀣🀣 I remember a couple of times pen 2 carrying on the aaaaahhhhs a good 3 or 4 minutes after the goal kick 🀣 Funny........but just why????
  8. Looking at the stadium plan for the sheffield weds game and there doesn't appear to have been a big uptake of season tickets in g1 standing area as lots still available. Or were these intentionally kept free for match by match sale ? It would be a shame if the standing areas werent filled after all the call for standing
  9. I watched with my daughter who is a big lioness (and city) fan. For pure entertainment value that was excellent. Probably most entertaining womens game I've seen and whilst i accept the quality is below that of the top men (in my opinion, before the women lynch me) it was probably the most entertaining game ive seen in a while, men or women (and especially city!). The premier league mostly bores me these days and the womens national team seem to care a bit more than the men (that was a comment made by my 15 year old and i had to agree). Well done girls
  10. I just dont want it or like it. I could go on all night about why but ive done it to death many times over πŸ˜‚.
  11. Well they couldnt possibly allow the small team plebs to sneak a sh*t house one nil win at the etihad or anfield with a controversial goal could they. That just wouldn't do 😑
  12. F**k me. Just leave the game alone. 150 odd years without any of this b0ll0cks and it became the most popular game on the planet......and now you think you can improve it!!! F**k VAR. F**k automated offsides. F**k Fifa. Not debating. Sorry.
  13. Bottom left there is a kid in a 90-92 bukta kit so has to be 90s. I was at nearly every home game in early 90s. This has to be Oxford?? Tony James keeping us up ?
  14. Debating going but stupidly, my sentimentality is saying dont, as i dont want to ruin the memory of THAT night 🀣. Best end ive been in. But to reiterate last post, decent town, decent pubs
  15. It doesn't help that it seems the search criteria contains : "must have recently worked in the city of sheffield" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  16. Germany womens kit πŸ‘Œ
  17. Fair point. πŸ‘
  18. Remember when we knew what we were doing saturday afternoons? Friday night games are the worst. Long week at work. Mad rush in Friday traffic and Saturdays empty.......unless you count going fosse park as entertainment ......which i do not!! Tv really is ruining things for the actual match going fans.
  19. Ive seen plenty from top professionals over the years. I mean, there are worse things wrong with the game but im a bit anal with stuff like that. Its the rules!
  20. And me......considering the grief we used to get at under 11 level for foul throws
  21. Where are you guys looking? Efl website and sky websites not showing anything beyond the Sheffield Wednesday game when i looked
  22. Great post. Things have changed so much. Remember gary Lineker scoring in the world cup semi final against Germany? He got a kiss on the cheek from Stuart Pearce and they got on with it . Nowadays its a choreographed dance routine for 5 mins for scoring in the league cup 2nd round πŸ˜‚. Disclaimer .....i may be exaggerating slightly
  23. I dont think its a class thing, its a culture thing. Ive been involved in boxing all my life as well as football and the lads in boxing are arguably "rougher" and more "working class" than in football. Yet respect is taught from the outset.....to your opponent to the ref etc. You will rarely see a boxer arguing with the ref, apart from isolated incidents. They might have a quick moan about an early stoppage but by and large decisions are accepted.
