If that was from his diary at the time I suspect with a bit of distance his views on that season are probably a little bit different now he is a few years removed from it. Even if he wasn't happy with his role it makes me respect him even more because he was so good at it and used to come off the pitch every game having ran himself into the ground. It's hard to pinpoint when I started to think we would win the league. First time it felt like it could happen for me was Vardy's screamer vs Liverpool when it seemed like everything was going right. We had the disappointment of Arsenal though not long after and it wasn't until Newcastle at home to go 5 points clear that I became confident we would do it. Who knows what would have happened if we'd have drawn that game 0-0 but for me That overhead kick was absolutely pivotal to us winning the league.

Yes they maintain he highest wage bill and almost outspent everyone else. They've employed some really high profile managers too. United have many problems, but not sure under investment in the squad has been one of them. They've outspent the next highest club (Chelsea) by £300m over the past decade.

Jim Harbaugh to the Chargers will be interesting. Reminds me a lot of mourinho at spurs. Both have words to describe their failures (spursy, chargering), both have a star player who hasn't won anything, both are proven winners. Can't imagine it last that long but will be interesting to watch. Some or th coaching hires have been very unambitious. Weird to think that Belichick and Vrabel are likely to be the odd ones out next season.

He takes the Atlanta job and he gets those wins within two seasons. I'd be surprised if that doesn't happen.

The way football has changed in the last twenty years has led to an absolute draught of strikers and even a player like Hojlund who shows a slight amount of promise can go for 70m. There are barely five good strikers in the premier league, the richest in the world and looking across Europe there are very few there either. The two teams who have spent the most money in Chelsea and Man Utd still don't have a top striker.

I find it fascinating how everyone seems to have very different players they like and dislike. I really like Jose De Sousa because you never know what he is going to do but my mate hates him for the same reason because he cant count. I found Humphries really dull when he was caught up in the middle tier of players but have warmed to him a lot this year as he is now one of the classier top players. It would have been embarrassing having all those new eyes tuning into the final to watch the kid and having to be try to understand Price's OTT celebrations.

The final loss, though heartbreaking, might work out well for Littler. Played well and can leave with his head held high that he lost to a great performance and a player in absolutely top form. Skip the premier league this year, settle into the pro tour and build more gradually towards 2025 without having quite so much to do. Might lose a few ticket sales but they can hype his appearances at the other events anyway.

Isn't his with back to crowd rather than facing? Not even sure Vardy would have attempted the version Stephy did last night!
-
What was that celebration about? Couldn't work out quite why he was so keen to wind up the birmingham fans.

Daka had the one in the box were he tried to turn back inside to get the shot off and since then he has tried to be too clever in the box and not really happening. He has been really good outside of that, looks more effective than Vardy and Nacho when he drops deeper.

Mahomes temper tantrum was bizarre. He should have focused his ire at Toney who has messed up multiple late game drives this year. It's hard enough for corners as it is without them letting receivers line up by the defensive ends!

Tied according to Scott Hansen on Redzone but considering how many games there is left you'd fancy him to break it. I geniunely can't believe that both the Broncos and Raiders are now ahead of the Chargers. LA probably have the best roster in the division but are in last place and I don't see how Staley keeps his job much longer. Really awful that they keep having these close losses and their defence is rubbish so don't get what he is bringing to the team. Playing 17 away games a season isn't his fault but they should at least be used to it when they are actually away.

With the awesome Brawn GP documentary coming out to remind everyone how challenging F1 really is, it's a shame that once again, the sport instantly has to reconfirm to everyone that it is also an absolute joke. Line up 20 fast cars on a decent race track, let them race with minimal intervention and allow technical innovation. It surely shouldn't be this hard and all the fluff they are adding is just to mask the rules having gone in completely the wrong direction for years now.

Fair point but Kane was never a talent at a young age like Bellingham was, we saw that when he was here. I don't think he has the natural talent that some England players have been blessed with but he has traits that I wish some other more talented England players shared. Kane's an incredible grafter and got there through professionalism, hardwork and determination. A rare player who maximises 100% of his potential.

Stoke commentators were incredibly optimistic, no idea why they felt so positive. That was like a training match, the team know it's a long season and are pacing themselves for a marathon.
-
Seemed like he has been enjoying himself in his interview after the game, maybe he just needs to go to a different headspace during the match

We'll he's admitted it in court so pretty much puts to bed any suggestions it was photoshopped. Not sure how waving a picture of a deceased child could be considered as banter, all pretty desperate really.

If the fee helps Everton land Gnonto it would be a double win for us.

Saudi Arabian club Football

If I wanted to watch it I could but I can't imagine how bored I would have to be to decide to put this on, and I've even watched Inter Miami highlights quite a bit recently. I have a friendship group that watches a lot of football and I can't say anyone has expressed any interest in this league other than suspicion at transfer dealings. There is already so much football on, I can't imagine the market for this in europe is very big. -
I miss the 2nd season of Kante! Not ideal but if he does well enough to be remembered in that category it's better than not having him at all.

Surprised he has done it while he still has so much left in the tank but this to Miami is looking great for the MLS. He looks like an alien compared to the rest of the league and there must be plenty of fans coming through the gates for a chance to see the real Messi (and not a shell like some of the others who have gone over) who wouldn't normally go to watch football. If this doesn't work to boost the MLS nothing will. Saudi are offering huge money but I'd much rather become a star in Miami than live in some Saudi compound no matter how luxurious. -
He looks really happy to be here and showed real desire to win which was missing from last seasons number eight.

Agree he isn't a genius but he has been prepared to take a lot of risks to transform two industries. Rocket launches are becoming cheaper and Tesla has had a massive influence on giant car companies. To be fair Starlink kind of works too. Twitter was always a bad idea to takeover, even he knew that and tried to get out of it. He definitely has more money than sense now.
