I don't think Stanmore is ideal for WHL. Better off Cheshunt or Enfield as it's only a few stops from WHL I'm parking at Cheshunt

Thanks for correction!

It's on BBC 2 - 12.30pm kick off

only option is to torch the house and find somewhere else to live I think

it's all ifs, buts and maybes. It is the same in every title race. The demands of TV mean title rivals play at different time. The bottom line is the league table is more or less irrelevant until all games have been completed.

I don't seem to have received my tickets for the Tottenham match (electronic or otherwise)? I have the email receipt. Are they emailed? Posted? Anyone able to help? EDIT : Sorted. They emailed them to my son apparently!

Should There Be Play-offs in the Football League?
stripeyfox replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
If you asked all the clubs at the start of the season - do you want top 3 promoted (no play offs) or Top 2 promoted with Play off winner - I guarantee they would ALL vote for play offs. It was the clubs that proposed and voted them in in the first place. The endless drama they have created down the years means they aren't going anywhere. If anything, an extension to the play offs (like National League system) is more likely to happen -
He will be fine, he's in good hands - let us know how he gets on

i *think* the vehicles on the bridge were the maintenance vehicles. The mayday call presumably enabled the bridge to be closed to traffic about to cross it. Perhaps there were some vehicles already crossing but it sounds like it's the maintenance crew who are the ones missing. I imagine the bridge is well covered by CCTV so they must have a reasonable idea of how many vehicles were on it at the time of collapse. I think it is a bit suprising that a bridge like this with piers in a major waterway didn't have those piers protected with barriers (which exist on other bridges). Whilst they might not be able to withstand the impact of a massive cargo ship such as in the image below (admitedly a very different type of bridge and waterway).

Terrible for her and the family. Hope she will be ok. Perhaps the wicked rumours about her can cease now

Most defining sporting moment

it does indeed. It was an incredible last hour that. I think if it had resulted in us winning the Ashes then it would be 100% top of the list. I rewatched that last hour the other day - amazing drama with the LBW shout that AUS burned their last review on and then needed it when there Stokes was LBW and wasn't given. -

Remembering Bernard Murphy and Henry Scotton
stripeyfox replied to kushiro's topic in Leicester City Forum
remember this day well. I was shocked at the sheer randomness of it. to be just walking to the football and get struck like that. Absolutely terrible. I know the club were quite supportive to Mr Murphy's family in the months and years afterwards - sending flowers on the anniversary etc. Not sure if they still do. -

My lads have really gotten into darts since the whole "Littler" effect and want a dartboard for the spare room. Massive variance in price. Don't really want to fork out £100 for a board, but don't want a cheapo one either. Any tips on type of board to look for?

one of the issues is that the ST T&Cs forbid the ticket from being sold (or even given away). Not worth the (potential) hassle anymore. Club prefers the seat to stay empty it seems
