  1. Whilst it would be great, I don't think Leicester is being considered as a venue for Euro 2028 (assuming it does come to the UK / Ireland) These are the venues for that tournament (as it stands) London, England – Wembley Stadium, capacity 90,652 Cardiff, Wales – National Stadium of Wales, capacity 73,952 Glasgow, Scotland – Hampden Park, capacity 65,000 (stadium to be reconstructed) London, England – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, capacity 62,322 Manchester, England – City of Manchester Stadium, capacity 61,958 (capacity to be expanded 2023–26) Liverpool, England – Everton Stadium, capacity 52,679 Newcastle upon Tyne, England – St James' Park, capacity 52,305 Birmingham, England – Villa Park, capacity 52,190 (capacity to be expanded) Dublin, Republic of Ireland – Dublin Arena, capacity 51,711 Belfast, Northern Ireland – Casement Park, proposed capacity 34,500
  2. It isn't Wiegman's style in any case to be sending players home. She seems to be more like a mother to these players in the way she supports them. I certainly don't see her publicly punishing one of her players by booting them out.
  3. I think it would be harsh to send her home, especially given that it has not yet been confirmed that she will get a ban longer than one match. She was frustrated and lost her cool. She's not the first and won't be the last to do so. Banishing her from the squad would send the wrong statement for me.
  4. scruffy performance, lucky not to be behind and a stupid red card BUT managed the game well with 10 players and held their nerve on penalties
  5. Alex Greenwood has got a superb left foot
  6. yes, it's very distracting! England all over the place at the moment. Lucky to still be level
  7. Glad to see USA out. Great team, but hard to like. The pre tournament video of "Who is going to stop USA" looks a bit poor now. Draw opening up nicely for the Lionesses. Let's hope they can go all the way. I can honestly say I don't think I will ever be as chuffed about a team winning anything as I would be if we win the World Cup.
  8. Amazing that the FSA feels the need to point out something which everyone knows already and for Foxes Trust to meekly toe the line in informing Leicester fans of the same when there clearly is not an issue with either pitch invasions or letting of smoke bombs at the club. Part of the ongoing move to totally sterilize the atmosphere in stadiums and the organizations which should be representing fans lapping it up.
  9. never knew they were a Leicester company
  10. The winner of this group are our potential Quarter Final opponents. Feels like Colombia in that position would open the draw up nicely.
  11. I don't have anyone on ignore. I love you all!
  12. exactly. The beer is abysmal. Why anyone chooses to miss the last five minutes of the first half in order to queue up and pay for it is totally beyond understanding!
  13. "we don't care if you have to pay £40 to watch a Championship match, just please make sure you don't have any fun whilst at the match"
  14. Pointless post from Foxes Trust - as usual
  15. super performance, really good stuff!
  16. So a half time score of Dub 0 - 06 Ker 1 - 04 means Kerry are winning 7-6 overall., yes?
  17. watching it, but not really understanding it! Looks good though!
  18. Keira Walsh injury "not ACL". Good news. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66347697 England midfielder Keira Walsh did not suffer an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Denmark in the Women's World Cup. Walsh, 26, was taken off the pitch on a stretcher in England's 1-0 victory, prompting concerns she could miss the remainder of the tournament. But a scan has allayed fears of an ACL injury for the Barcelona player, who is a key figure for England. She will however miss Tuesday's final group game against China in Adelaide. The Football Association said Walsh will remain at England's base camp near Terrigal beach during her recovery and her knee issue will "continue to be assessed". Walsh, who moved to Barcelona last summer for a women's world record transfer fee, played a crucial role in England's Euro 2022 title win, appearing in all but four minutes of their campaign. The Lionesses are already without captain Leah Williamson and forward Beth Mead due to ACL injuries they suffered during the Women's Super League season, while attacking midfielder Fran Kirby is also sidelined with a knee problem. England can secure their place in the last 16 of the Women's World Cup on Tuesday and will progress as Group D winners if they avoid defeat by China.
  19. interesting take. Why do you think this?
  20. not a classic by any means, but a win is a win.
  21. yeah, no harm in a bit of versatility and Daly seems happy to play wherever she's put. Love this team
