  1. We as fans are really against anybody who has the smallest blot on their CV aren't we? More likely to lean more towards some bloke nobody has ever heard off because we can't point out a failure of his. Just because their last job was below average in satisfaction levels, or "they took the club backwards" as somebody said in relation to Michael Carrick (bit harsh), doesn't mean their next job is guaranteed to be a failure. Lampard and Scott Parker are examples of that. On a side note how is the kettle still at Bodo Glimt? I think even he is unrealistic for us now
  2. Club got him down today as they couldn't wait to do a massive feature on him ahead of our Carabao clash with Huddersfield
  3. We should rohl out the red carpet for Sean Dyche
  4. The Alex Smithies derby, sick
  5. Matching number of home and away games, again! Astonishing
  6. At last we're linked with a goalscorer
  7. We're hardly likely to release a statement saying RVN will be sacked the moment July comes around are we? If he ends up staying then a statement at the time this was decided would have been a sensible idea, in which case you can probably assume that he's a goner
  8. I've always appreciated this place, as someone with not many people or places to go to to air my opinions or vent my frustrations over whatever may be on my mind. However, some absolute weapon of a mod demonstrated to me this morning that only certain opinions are allowed on here now, so I'm gone after this rant. I understand certain threads on here are tightly controlled because it gets heated quickly. I have been banned from the Jamie Vardy thread for daring to suggest that we should be and can be looking for better next season rather than rely on him as a regular starter. Add to that that we shouldn't "pay him whatever he wants" because of our financial situation. Emotions are high from last night so I understand level headed thinking is sparse on here right now. So I wasn't surprised a handful of people wanted to pick me up on what I said, however it's one thing to disagree with me but to delete the posts and ban me from the thread for an honest and completely inoffensive football opinion? The **** is that all about? The sheer amount of hatred and abuse I reported multiple times a year ago in our relegation which went either unnoticed or was deemed by mods to be absolutely acceptable, but all it takes really is to have an opinion which doesn't relay amongst the majority?
  9. Been robbed of the most shithouse hat-trick
  10. Brighton are the media darlings, which is fair enough given their on and off pitch performances over the last couple of years. It'll take more than a dozen poor games for the media to open their eyes to the situation
  11. Also kinda harsh as if the table stays the same, you've essentially got the 2nd/3rd best (true) points tally sides going up against each other in the semi finals
  12. Mickleover deducted 12pts, dropping them from 2nd to just on the cusp of the play off spots
  13. On massively reduced wages then okay. Does it really make sense in our position to be dishing out +50k p/w to a 37/38yo bit part player?
  14. Cruz Azul (A) FC Seoul (A) Barnstaple (H) Orlando Pirates (A) Perth Glory (A) Round off by promoting all that is good about British football in southern Chile against Haverfordwest.
  15. Aston Martin for me, hopefully Ferrari though 😂
  16. I collapsed off my chair watching that
  17. Give him another contract extension
  18. https://twitter.com/FakeShowbizNews/status/1782747543996178782?s=19
  19. Sweden is a cracking league to manage in, even though I see you've left
  20. We'll be promoted this time in 27 hours
  21. Where does this end though? The ref tomorrow night might support some absolute no mark League Two club but have a family full of Leeds/Ipswich/Coventry/Portsmouth fans.
  22. The amount of people on here though that can't agree on what was correct and what was incorrect in this game surely shows why VAR can never be perfect
  23. I'd have a lot more respect for managers if they called out this shit when it went for them as well. I've not even seen what's happened today but if Forest have a point, I've seen Dyche moan more than enough over the years about shit refereeing. I assume he's kept his mouth shut, or even conveniently insisted every decision was correct. I guess it's seen as defending your club/players but a bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss once in a while. If players are too precious to hear their manager not back them up despite them blatantly committing a foul then we are at a sad place
  24. A press conference to say the reason you didn't give a penalty was because you didn't think there was contact. What's the point in that? It's obvious 99% of the time why a ref made the decision he did, even if sometimes it's bewildering to understand how he saw it that way. If relegation to a lower league isn't enough for you then you can only be rooting for suspensions, or worse, being sacked. The moment you do that on a regular basis you are hurting grass roots football who simply have nobody to take charge of the game because we've ran out of referees. Think again
