Apart from not wanting to break anything and jeopardise his long term future

During 2013-14, We were poised on the brink of an upward trajectory. It was an electrifying period for the us interns of progression, witnessing our team's struggles and subsequent fall into League One under Mandric's ownership. The investment journey from 2010 onwards was a rollercoaster ride, marked by new signings and managers until Nigel's return, which seemed to stabilise things. After a decade-long wait, we finally returned to the Premier League, armed with spending power compared to other newly promoted teams, fuelling our excitement for what we could achieve and the prospect of establishing ourselves as a top-flight force. The flip side of that is what we went on to achieve during that period and then the subsequent relegation, the realisation that a lot of the current team appear likely to struggle in the top flight. Burnley’s similar style of play that saw them coast the Championship last season yet win just 3 in 21 this season. There seems to be a collective apprehension this time around highlighted by the fact a manager with a 76% win percentage feels the need to stay what he did after another victory.

Think their scouting would implode based on the fact that sensi has a played one game and misses one on average through his injury record since 19/20

Not 66/1 Not sure they would be happy with 454 return

Leicester City are ready to welcome Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi, a technically gifted player who fills a different role to Chelsea returnee Cesare Casadei. The 21-year-old Casadei spent the first half of this season on loan with the Foxes before Chelsea decided to end his loan spell 10 days ago, bringing him back to West London. Whilst the Italian youngster didn’t set the world alight in the Championship, he did play a role for coach Enzo Maresca. Leicester took to the transfer market to bolster their squad, agreeing to sign Sensi from Inter on a €500,000 loan deal with a €2m conditional obligation to buy clause attached, dependant on their promotion to the Premier League. On paper, the Foxes are signing Sensi to replace Casadei in Maresca’s squad, but the two players are not similar on the pitch, with their heights providing a clue to their respective roles – the Nerazzurri man stands at 1.68 metres whilst the youngster is taller at 1.85 metres. Casadei is a physically imposing box-to-box midfielder, comfortable charging up the pitch with the ball and using his stature to bully his opposition off the ball. He also provides a threat in the air and is a hard work defensively. In comparison, Sensi is a more technically-minded player who excels with the ball at his feet, able to play inventive passes and spot his teammates runs across the pitch. His injury history and smaller stature make him less confident physically, both in terms of duels and quick bursts forward. https://football-italia.net/why-sensi-isnt-a-casadei-replacement-for-leicester-city

Hopefully it makes the club pull their finger out and get some new faces in and old ones out before the window shuts, rather than feeling too comfortable with the position we are in. -

Emile Heskey Facing Bankruptcy......

It’s only appears to be a bill for 42k can’t believe he couldn’t afford that or have assets to sell. Edit a little more to the story HMRC said that as well encouraging deliberate tax defaulters to come forward, the publication of the names like Heskey was designed act as a deterrent to others and to show “the Government is serious about tackling evasion and non-compliance by ensuring everyone pays their fair share, creating a level playing field for honest people and businesses, and cracking down on the minority who seek to evade tax”. It emerged last week that a record 329 professional footballers were under investigation by HMRC for suspected tax avoidance last season – up from just 93 the season before – with 31 clubs and 91 agents also being probed. More than £560million has been collected in football-related tax since 2015 amid a crackdown on avoidance linked to image-rights deals and the launch of a ‘Football Compliance Project’. Elliott Buss, a partner at accountancy group UHY Hacker Young, said: “The Football Compliance Project linking up with HMRC’s elite fraud unit means the tax authority is very concerned about the significant amounts of unpaid tax in the sport.” In November 2017, the Sun newspaper reported that HMRC had instigated High Court proceedings against Heskey over a bill of £1.7 million linked to a £700m tax relief scheme for the rich. Heskey was said to be facing a demand for money owed over eight years while he was playing for Liverpool, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, Aston Villa and Australian side Newcastle Jets. The bill was said to be linked to an investment in Ingenious “partnerships”, which qualified for tax breaks aimed at backing British film-making. Heskey’s lawyers were said to have issued a 19-page defence, denying he was a partner in the scheme, insisting he was only a member, and claiming the payment notices were unlawful and wrongly totted up. -
