We spent 9 seasons in the championship between 2004/5 - 2013/14. We have already surpassed the points total from 4 of those seasons and 6 points away from surpassing the points total from another 3 seasons. We are 25 games in. Ridiculous.

Very comfortable performance to end the year. Really nice football at times and never looked in any danger. Hamza MOTM for me. Roll on 2024 👏🏼

Hamza has played really well tonight, probably his best performance of the season.

Absolutely done with him and wouldn’t be bothered not seeing him play for us again. It’s no wonder he’s never been considered as our “main” man when you never know which version is going to turn up. Had a good 6 months in the FA cup winning year but his whole career with us has reeked of inconsistency.

Nothing more than they deserve. We have been awful this half and the subs made did absolutely nothing to change that.

Would have preferred to see Cannon instead of Iheanacho. Offered absolutely nothing yet again.

Not disagreeing with that but even when he’s had space to run and attack he’s turned back pretty much every time.

Daka has let himself down with his final ball tonight but we look so lethal with him up there. His link up play has been good at times and a front 3 of him, Fatawu and Mavididi is frightening on the break. I would 100% keep him up as first choice for the time being.

We set the standards at the start of the season and have been poor for the last 4-5 games so why can’t people express their opinions? Not going to be top of the league for much longer if we keep playing like this. The first 10 games have gone to our heads it seems. Long old season.

Be a much nicer option when Doyle is back and just slot JJ across to the right and Ricardo up the pitch. I just don’t trust Hamza - he always has a mistake and a booking in him and as someone in this thread has alluded to us he’s always making last ditch tackles cause he’s always a couple of seconds behind play.

Disappointing night but Ricardo was absolutely superb - he didn’t deserve to be on a losing side with that performance. Not the end of the world. We go again.

These are the type of games that proper frustrate me regarding Iheanacho. Walking around all over the pitch looking lost, dropping too deep and showing no urgency to get forward. No wonder why he’s never had consistent game time he must be a nightmare for managers - how can you have a game plan with someone that unreliable?!

It’s mad how different some players are (i.e. Ricardo/Hamza, Ndidi/Casdei etc) yet the team looks as if it adjusts to suit the strengths/weaknesses at ease. Mental how quick Enzo has got his message across and fair play to the players for buying into it and adjusting so well.
