Twitter was full of unwanted views, bots, porno content in replies to stuff that was nothing to do with porn, unwanted ads and, towards the end, lots of Musk appearing on the timeline tweeting "Hmm interesting" in response to posts by users with names like "MagaRussian8764987" saying weird stuff like "Maybe the USA should buy Australia and nuke the moon". Doomscrolling that shit was unhealthy. I deleted Twitter and went over to Bluesky last month. Now I just doomscroll FoxesTalk.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
Vacamion replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Cov fans threatening to rip up their season tickets about the prospect of Lampard in charge is quite entertaining. -
I thought there was a recession on? People been setting off fireworks all around my house without much downtime for a few hours. My next door neighbour's dog, poor thing, has been barking its head off after every bang and crash for hours without pause, too. The last 3 hours of my life can be summarised by: BANG WOOF x a million

Football, she is a cruel mistress

Peter Drury's technique at key moments of simply shouting out the name of the player doing stuff instead what they are doing, or how they are doing it, leads me to conclude that when he and Mrs Drury are in the boudoir at Drury Towers, and reach the height of their passion, he just yells out "PETER DRURY", and because of this, Mrs Drury secretly hates him, along with the rest of us.

Two things that are dissimilar can be true at the same time. It can be true that Soumaré had a decent game the other night, running, tackling and laying it off like a real baller... At the same time it can also be true that Bouba has generally been a crushing disappointment in a City shirt, largely characterised by him walking about looking disinterested, whilst opponents run past him. If Cooper has found a way get a regular tune out of him, it will be very much to Cooper's credit.

I just want to add that I never realised that when people talk about "The Pyramid" at Glastonbury, they were not talking about the stage. Or so I found out when opening the door to the portacrappers there in the 1990s with 3 days worth of full guts.

From The Times' report of the match, they mention JJ three times: Goal one: Goal two: Goal three: Not quite the way Justin wanted to see his name in lights, was it?

Post match - Man Utd Carabao Cup - 5-2 loss
Vacamion replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
Second string team for understandable reasons, but we concede soooo many chances and goals. Many of our new signings look nowhere near it. Sigh. -
Looked like Justin was playing in attack the last 5 minutes of the half

Bouba liked Dalot's work so much he gave him a pat on the back.

Ripped to bits, there.

Ward no chance with that.

Our Irish centre half O'Cawley getting a shout out there.

SHOT ON TARGET KLAXXON

Just omit the "ry roads" bit and it is soooooo suitable.

Ralf Little up front, please.

Oh shit, Ruud has a polo neck on. He means business.

There's always a small part of me that retains a smidgin of optimism against all odds. God I hate me. So: Soumaré, Skipp and El Kannouss to run this show and Ayew to score a brace, then. COYB

Some of us wanted a reserve line up because the league game is so important. But academy products being denied a chance doesn't look great. Also wonder what the point of Edouard is, and how rusty he'll be when he's needed in the league.

Aww man, Shingles is the worst. I had it in 2006 on my head and still suffer the after effects. It was initially misdiagnosed as infection and only when I went back to the doc a week later with half my head swollen up, did I get the anti-virals and pain killers I needed. The nerves on my head were jiggered and I still get nerve pain flare ups, burning and even occasionally the feeling that water is dripping onti my head 18 years on. Alcohol helps but, seriously, screw Shingles.
