Miles apart. We won't catch up to them anytime soon either. Ah well, we are still the best club to support - Never boring!

That's a great watch. As if that's our training ground though Looks more impressive every time I see it. -
I've followed quite closely as it's pretty interesting, and I'm a bit IASIP fan. They know themselves that they are going to hit a ceiling financially and will eventually need outside investment - It's just a case of how high they can get before that's the case. Even their players are genuine stars now, it's hilarious. Although having watched a bit last year, I'm pretty sure Mullin would do quite well in the Championship...it's handy having a player of that level in the NL!
-
I’m sure I read recently that their shirt sales were more than double that of anyone in the Championship last year…when they were in the National League! They’re still adding massive sponsors now so the wave is certainly being ridden. Pretty bonkers what the documentary has done for them. The power of marketing and PR eh?
-
Yeah. We’ve got a bit of cash to spend now it would seem and there is a desperate need for new attacking players. Bit worrying. I think what we do in the market from now will make or break our season. Not really sure what to expect from us!
-
😅 We wouldn’t have much of a squad left if we did that!
-
I see the point of those complaining about the fee, but we have lost a lot of our leverage after getting relegated. Plus it seemed like only one club really wanted him. There wasn’t a way of driving the price up. The club have done OK considering.
-
Doubt they can afford to let him go on a free next year. Whoever does want him will be biding their time as surely Swansea will blink first. Although I thought the same about Gyorekes and he went for £20m so I definitely know nothing.
-
This is pretty exciting if it means we can bring in two or three attacking midfielders!
-
Let’s be honest now, nobody improved under Smith, so I don’t know what you mean there. I don’t think he was ever particularly restricted in a Rodgers system either? There was definitely opportunity to show what he’s capable of anyway. Too easy to blame Rodgers when Soumare never turned out a decent 90 minutes. Centre midfielders in the Prem need to be dynamic and capable of playing different roles in and out of possession. I didn’t see any of the strengths mentioned in that article other than a few instances of driving forward with the ball.
-
What’s the right position then? I absolutely do think he’s been given a fair crack, yes.

Looks positive! -
Fair enough and I do see what you mean. Saying he's a pub footballer is a bit silly and he certainly has pedigree. But saying Maresca could get a tune out of him is also a bit silly! I never watched him pre-Leicester, so I can only judge what I've seen...and I don't think he's had a single good game here. Even the Wolves game at home which people mention as being one of his best, I thought he was just average. He's clearly available yet there is zero chance a Prem team will come in for him - I suppose it might be that he's just not suited to football in this country, who knows. Either way, he needs to go.
-
Because it's Napoli? Or because we've written him off here? He's had two years, it's not like we haven't given him a fair crack - He's been woeful.
-
What a dream this would be.
-
Christ. Ndidi in that role given the way Maresca wants to play...we'd lose more that we'd win! There are strengths to his game, but he's an atrocious footballer.
-
£12m for Nacho, but it needs to all be up front. The buyer can send it straight to Swansea’s account. Bank transfer is fine. We’ll add an extra £3m in (sort of) achievable add-ons for Piroe. Everybody’s happy. Rudkin’s job is easy! But yeah…We can’t be losing and more saleable assets on a free - Need to start offering them around.
-
Obviously it's awful getting injured, wouldn't wish it on any player but he played a blinder getting such a good contract, as did we getting the fee we did. Everyone won really. Except Chelsea of course.
-
I said in another thread that watching Faes sprint is painful - It’s like he’s going backwards. You get to watch it a lot as well as he’s constantly caught out of position. Not sure Souttar is quicker but I’d be surprised if he wasn’t!
-
There would have been a good few clubs in for him and it’s a big year for his development. You’d have thought Man City would have wanted an ‘X amount of games clause’. He will be playing whether he’s **** or not. (I thought he looked OK yesterday though)
-
This is bang on unfortunately. The Championship obviously lacks in quality, but teams will be well organised and energetic. He will be just as terrible one level down, I’m sure of it. His worst game last year was probably Blackburn at home - They ran all over him that night. Says it all really.
-
Well it can’t hurt, can it. We’ll take all the positive energy we can get!
-
This would give us a genuine chance this season.

Post match: Cobblers 0-1 Foxes (friendly)
James_lcfc replied to Daggers's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes it was a friendly against a very poor side but; Winks has peaked my optimism. Very balanced and comfortable on the turn. Looked hungry too. IF we get this ‘keeper who looks like he can play off both feet and pass between the lines, we may be onto something with Winks. He could regularly be in the position to start attacks. The issue is where does he go in those situations - The other midfield options are really poor in my opinion. Bit more work in the transfer market though and we could be dangerous next year. Been a while since I’ve felt any sort of optimism so that was nice to write! -
You can never tell wether or not he’s taken a first touch, or played a crisp three yard pass. He used to be pretty efficient at what he did but I’ve never thought he was as good as people made him out to be. I remember reading the Nigeria manager moaning about him being at Leicester and that his level was much higher - I laughed out loud when I read that, even back then. Even in a short period of time the game has moved on from him. We should take the first offer that comes in.
