What would you do if surrounded by half a dozen armed police shouting “armed police!” every 3 seconds? I don’t think you’d drive towards them and try and run them over. Read the details of the case - and I think you’ll come to the same conclusion of the jury.

Feel sorry for the officer who has had his life ruined waiting for this verdict, wondering if he’s going to prison - would have a target on his back in prison for being a firearms officer on top of a life sentence. We’ve got to stop treating armed officers like they are civilians walking down the street with a gun.

What a bandwagon comment - his stats this season have been up there in terms of assists, MOTM performances etc. Enzo played him in the same role. You should hammer him for not playing Ricardo or Fatawu - least that has some basis

and….if advertised as competitive you might get a candidate that is exceptional but over budget for the role advertised, but you decide the extra salary is worth it. If you advertised the role at a certain salary, you could end up excluding some candidates with their expectation. This role in question will be reasonably high paying so even more chance of negotiation on the package…I’m not recruiter but just my experience. Ask the younger sibling @JonnyBoy or @Greg2607 who both know their onions on this topic more than me.

Because it’s a lever for anyone internally to know the salary of an externally advertised job.
