Deflected wasn’t it? Never mind the fact we should have cleared it about four or five times beforehand.

I mean there must be times when VAR hasn’t favoured the big clubs, isn’t there?

Ipswich 1-1 LCFC - Post Match

It catches us out because it works every time. The problem is, we don’t have too many players that tall for defending set pieces. You don’t want your centre backs out of position, so who is going to cover that area. It’s another way we miss N’Didi. -

Ipswich 1-1 LCFC - Post Match

But also the team third in the league and favourites for promotion pre-season created very little because of that battling. It’s not as if Jakub made a string of great saves or they missed loads of chances. The block late on (was it Aribo?) was the best chance they created without needing us panicking. Yes, there’s still the shooting ourselves in the foot for their goal by failing to clear, but we’ve been so easy to play against recently and we weren’t today. You reckon our players are as good as theirs? -

Especially when on a harsh yellow for a good 70 mins. -

If the best Ipswich can do against second from bottom is throw themselves to the ground like that then they’re going nowhere this season. Plenty of grit and determination and we really did limit them to creating very little, but again, the flaws of not defending well enough and gifting them a goal, plus the lack of options off the bench up front really do cost us. -
If James isn’t match fit then absolutely he shouldn’t be starting. Want him for as many games as possible in the run in rather than taking a risk.

Thought I’d have a look at the forum from back in 2008 and the last time being relegated to League One. Quite funny seeing ‘that’ Sheff Weds match thread being only five pages long. We’d been circling the drain for a few seasons though and obviously hadn’t seen the riches we have done since. Plenty of hate for Mandaric/Holloway. No mention of PSR of course or much financially I could see, even though the wage to turnover ratio was 103 per cent that season and the one before. People didn’t care so much about that before PSR.

I think I felt like that last time we went down to League One. I genuinely thought it was the end of the world when we lost that record of never having been out the top two divisions. This time, I’m not sure I care all that much. I’m not sure if that’s a case of been there, done that, or I am fed up of ‘modern football’ as a whole.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
when_you're_smiling replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The moment when, more by luck than judgement, he managed to get around his defender, but then still threw himself to the ground, was impressive commitment to the narrative. He doesn’t have a clue how to play in the Championship. -
Rudkin thought they were good enough too. That’s the problem. Can’t believe people still think they should be challenging for the Prem. Who the heck in that defence is Prem quality? Most of the ‘proven at a higher level’ in this team like Ricky P are over 30 as well.

Be all and end all, they’re just not very good players. Even at 0-0 in a first half where they really did put the effort in, you knew we were going to concede at least two and probably lose. At set pieces it was like man v boys. Just a shite team put together by morons.
-
I know there’s way bigger and more important things than this, but with 103 days to go one of the hosts with a peace medal from the organisers around his neck has attacked one of the countries that has qualified. I really have become fed up of modern football but thought I might actually look forward to the World Cup at least as that’s sacred right? Even this is going to be shit.

Speaking as someone who doesn’t want him anywhere near the side, he was excellent tonight. The best player on the pitch by a country mile. (Bar that abomination of a corner.)

Boro 1-1 Leicester Post Match Thread

We did something we didn’t do for months - got the basics right for the vast majority. The fact one brain fart cost us probably makes it worse at the minute, but is probably more positive in the long run. -
He did the first time.

Surely more of an excuse deep in to injury time to pass it short and easy.

Who cares about other teams winning? If you beat yourself week in, week out you’re not stopping up.

The ‘dignity’ comment about Luke Thomas had me howling.

Because big six club fans love him or hate him. Gets clicks/reactions etc. That’s about the sum of it really for him and a lot of others. -

It’s after that, if the Stoke player in the middle touches it. That’s what they’re arguing. -

That tackle on Daka was over the ball, into the ankle and worse than the DCR red. -
