Leicester City All Stars Vs Anstey Nomads All Stars
Uncle Monty replied to Lewis Wright's topic in Leicester City Forum
What an electric season he had when we got promoted. ****ing flying down that left wing. -
Would any other club take a risk on him? I'm confident he'll stay because of his injury record.
-
Wow, that's pretty decent of him. Not many decent footballers left out there, so fair play.

Like a Phoenix rising. There's only one Nigel Pearson!

How does this team do in the Championship?
Uncle Monty replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Empty is a good word to describe how I feel about the current team too (Vardy aside). I think as long as we see a couple of local lads in the side it will go a long way in terms of bringing the fans back on board. -
They do look racially similar.
-
It's been inevitable for some time now.

Sorry you are feeling this way. It's been like this for me since the bogers season. I didn't expect anything less in the transfer window. Actually surprised we signed someone permanent and not another horrific loan. Sounds like we also dodged a Dawson shaped bullet. You'd hope that they'd now start blooding some of the youngsters for the championship next season but there is no hope anymore.

That article is mental. Starts off about Marcelo but the bulk is about how Max Gradel is currently outperforming Facundo!?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Uncle Monty replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hard to judge for me looking back given how successful the team went on to be, but I felt more confident with the players and staff in place. Let's just hope for another turnaround this season. As things stand halfway through its hard to argue that we aren't were we are supposed to be. From what I've seen only Southampton look worse than us and that's also reflected in the table. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

In the great escape we were still in games. We look nowhere near that this season. -
I don't know when but it's a hard argument to make that we are better than three other teams in the league. So frail.

This is the Christmas miracle we are all hoping for.

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
Uncle Monty replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
For people saying he's flavour of the month, wasn't he considered in the summer before Cooper? When Cooper was on the verge this place was a melt down. Glad it seems more than half of people are excited. So much doom and gloom for everyone when Cooper was in. Even if Ruud is a failure, at least we can be excited to start with. -
Didn't someone describe Vitor's running style like a man charging through with a bin bag in each hand 😆?
-
I remember that too 😂. Wasn't it something like "I've never had preseason like this, we normally start football stuff on week 2 or 3 but we've gone straight in with ball work".
-
Tater Peeler aside, Cooper has to be one of the worst appointments. Seems a nice enough guy but he was cursed from the start. I wanted him to succeed but with the Forest background was always going to be a hard sell. Then the preseason games came. I know preseason generally mean FA but we were so shit. Then the signings. Then the complete shit performances even though we got a couple of wins potentially in spite of his management. His appointment really brought about apathy to the fans like I've never seen before. So many people disenchanted with everything including myself. Really hope the next appointment works out.

Enjoying the optimism of the actual poll.

As my wife put it, people value the price of eggs more than women's rights.
-
People are too short-sighted. Anyway I don't know if you live over here but Trumpers are more than every-other person, it will be really hard going through daily life thinking everyone supports fascism.
-
Strider, not just an expert football analyst! I'm going to go with this explanation which makes a lot of sense and is much more palatable than endorsing a corrupt businessman and racist. I get that people are hard up over here (as they are everywhere), so it's easier to understand it that way. Personally, I don't think the price of eggs Trumps (pardon the pun) women's rights.

The lying, raping criminal? Well if he's denounced it I'm sure it must be true!

I don't think the world will end but am deeply concerned about the state of democracy in this country (USA). The man sent an angry mob to kill politicians including people in his own party and people just brush it off. He also has a majority of power in the Senate and has puppets in the supreme court meaning he can pass laws at will. What is to stop him from changing the mount of terms a sitting president can have (probably his age). Or changing any other constitutional law. Project 2025 is very scary. If you are a US resident it is a genuine concern. You can say people won't let that happen but the fact that all of his misdemeanors have been brushed aside gives me very little hope.

Sigh. As predicted he wins.
