  1. One of the last true great comedians from that sort of era. His body of work is so great as a comedy writer and comedy actor. I still think, personally, Fawlty Towers stands at the top of the greatest British sitcoms.
  2. Hasn't he worked out that by the second half the opposition have already won the game so don't get out of second gear. Same with Brentford last week, they could have scored more if they wanted to.
  3. I’m never one for refunds at football. Fans should just not go. These owners, players, management don’t deserve support.
  4. Vestergaard is a knob. Acts like a complete dick and has spoken out in interviews about how he didn’t like previous managers who were here at the time. He’s a complete waste of space, terrible defender and continues to be a waste of money at the club. I wouldn’t be surprised if he now doesn’t like Van Nistelrooy either, probably going to cry to the ownership about it. But yes agree Van Nistelrooy has lost it and like I said previously he should have gone weeks ago. Awful appointment.
  5. We have a manager that sets up defensively yet we need points. We aren't staying up on goal difference so at this point we minds well attack every opposition. It won't happen though. I have resigned myself to the fact we're going down. I was disappointed appointing Cooper but I did believe he would just keep us up. Van Nistelrooy gives me no confidence at all, I'll be amazed if we even score again.
  6. Don’t think I’ve ever watched a manager here who simply has no clue what to do.
  7. Should have gone weeks ago. I can’t believe he’s managing a top flight team. Been clueless since he’s been here, one of our worse managers of all time.
  8. Fulham might fancy their chances at Old Trafford. That'll be an interesting game.
  9. Tbh man I eat in the pub before a game, not bought in the ground for years now. But we had a thread not to long back about how the pies were back.
  10. I think people forget Pearson liked experience in the squad. Difference is they were free or minimal cost.
  11. Everyone? I've seen countless posts on here wanting more local business back in the ground.
  12. To then not even start him
  13. He has to anyway mate. 6 home games without a goal is a disgrace. A win against West Ham isn't changing anything for me.
  14. I just posted in another thread but I would argue it wasn't really. We still spent 8m on Coady and 7m on Cannon. While the players we bought we good enough for the Championship, we weren't looking into the future because these sort of players were never improving us for a Premier League season. Winks and Mavididi fall into this category. However Hermansen and Fatawu were good finds, of course. As for the football being successful, of course it's a success to win any league title but we didn't even reach 100 points. We won the league by a single point yet our squad was much better than the rest of the league. So far with Chelsea he's been knocked out of both domestic cups and has fell away in the league and is now fighting for a top 6 finish. They finished 6th last season, reached the final of the league cup and lost in the semi final of the FA Cup. Personally I'd prefer to have a complete fresh start.
  15. Our transfer window under Enzo wasn't great though. We still spent 8m on Coady and while the players we bought we good enough for a Championship title challenge, we weren't looking into the future because these sort of players were never improving us for a Premier League season. Hermansen aside, of course.
  16. Brentford are so direct. Most of their balls go long, they even still do long throws. Friday was probably the worse opposition performance I've seen from a team that put 4 past us (and should have had more, to be fair to them). Even Wolves had a bit more about them and their 3 goals were awful at our place.
  17. Yes, exactly what I've been saying to people who come out with the "we will fall through the league". Some of the teams in the top 10 are awful, especially Sheffield United in 2nd, and that's not even taking into consideration the teams at the bottom of the table.
  18. Cba with Leeds and Sheffield United going up and us going down, losing two good away days there. 3rd place should really win the play offs, mind, but you never know.
  19. Awful KO time doesn't help. That's the main reason I'm not going.
  20. Can't remember the last time I stayed the full 90 mins. Players don't care so neither do I. I left on 65 minutes on Friday, against Brentford, but in reality I should have left at half time.
  21. Also, when I was criticising Van Nistelrooy just weeks into his time here, you told me our results would improve once Hermansen is back from his injury In all seriousness though, I was always sceptical and my posts reflect that. Awful appointment when we needed someone who had the experience of grinding out wins to keep a team up. That said, I did not expect us to go 6 home games without even scoring. It's a disgrace.
  22. I just haven't been arsed with them all season. They're all a disgrace. Showed nothing all season.
  23. I don't think one more game matters. We've lost 6 consecutive home games without even scoring. If they aren't sacking a manager after that then I don't know what it will take.
  24. I have to agree. I left it too late personally and left around 65 minutes but I feel empty seats is realistically the only way to show the ownership because nothing serious ever happens at our club. A few years ago West Ham fans stormed their pitch and headed to the executive boxes, and Everton fans were in the streets questioning their players. Nothing like that would happen here. I’m not going to the next home game, against Manchester United, because of the pathetic kick off time but the ground will be the same as it was yesterday and throughout the season despite the fact we’re heading towards a second relegation in three years. Singing “Rudkin out” in the 14th minute, and every time the opposition score, isn’t changing anything. I think there’s about three of us near me, in the Kop, that join in with the song and nobody else seem’s bothered. I was in the pub prior to the game yesterday and I heard two people discussing how bad we are and they concluded with “it is what it is” which sums our fanbase up. Anyway, not logging on here again this weekend, I think I’ll enjoy my weekend now without thinking about this club.
  25. He also said he “wouldn’t sack anyone”.
