  1. They're going to be that late team that ends up finishing 6th.. Mind you, nobody seems to want it. West Brom hanging in there by 1 goal difference but Middlesbrough/Norwich/Bristol City/Sheffield Wednesday seem to inconsistent. February will be interesting for Coventry as they've got Leeds, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday.
  2. What I enjoyed about Goodison Park on Saturday was that it's surrounded by housing. I had to walk up a street of terraced houses to get to the ground. A ground in the community, that's what grounds should be like. We've lost so many in recent years. Filbert Street, Maine Road, Highfield Road.. Goodison Park will be added to that.
  3. The same squad that people said Cooper should have been doing better with I'm glad now people see how bad the squad is, and was when we got promoted. It's just an excuse though. We went 7 games without winning including games against relegation rivals. He should be doing more with the squad, even for how bad it is, he does the same thing over again expecting a different result.
  4. Been getting the same as I said all along I don't think this would work out. The first two games we picked up points but in both games the opposition should have scored more than they did. Nothing has improved since Van Nistelrooy has come in, in fact I'd say we've got worse.
  5. You missed the bit where Van Nisteloory is clueless too.
  6. As per my post after, he is the worse taking into consideration the transfer fee and wages. Tell me something he can do? Nothing. He’s pathetic and we paid £15m for him. I’m not even debating it anymore, I’m fed up of watching this *****. I’ll be so happy when he leaves. But for the time being we’ve got a manager that plays him regardless every week.
  7. I said all along I was sceptical. Cba to look through this thread but everything I said then I stand by. People called Cooper “lucky” but both of Van Nistelrooy’s wins have come against a West Ham team that should have scored more and a Spurs team that was weakened by lots of injuries. We concede more and score less now. Cooper was limited, is limited, but was getting more out of this squad. We were picking up points against relegation rivals. Now we just lose to them. Everton, Wolves and Palace have all beaten us with ease under Van Nistelrooy. He picks the same team, same formation, every week and expects something different. Persistently picking Vestergaard which in itself should be a sackable offence. Subs are strange and often too late.
  8. Not for the transfer fee and wages we have shelled out for him. I’ve seen players as bad but they were usually free or academy or low fee’s. £15m + wages for this *****. He would get in my worst City 11 with ease.
  9. I can’t stand them. I can’t remember a squad of players I disliked more at our club.
  10. 1’s all round. Same as Newcastle away, Wolves home, Palace home…
  11. I was more shocked what I was watching at that point
  12. I was lower tier and was embarrassed. Practically everyone around me started with “he’s won more than you”…. A club with 9 league titles. We will never ever win as much as Everton. Also cba with the “living in the past” chants either from the same people who probably stand and clap a fvcking video montage of a trophy win from 10 years ago every home game.
  13. I left at 3-0 but not surprised to read this. They’re a disgrace.
  14. Should’ve gone ages ago.
  15. He is the worse defender I’ve ever seen play for the club. Can’t win a header (despite his height), can’t run, no pace, gets knocked off the ball so easy. He is a disgrace as is the decision to give him a new contract.
  16. My hometown club so I take a keen interest. Good big steps in recent seasons, and unlucky last season, but tbh with Macclesfield in that league it's tough. In more local news we are fortunate as it wasn't to long ago the club was hurtling towards a real financial mess. (I know you do a lot of local non league games?).
  17. Majority of Portsmouth's wins come at home. I was surprised they lost to Millwall mid week. Prior to that their last home defeat was in October. Same with Oxford really. They don't really win away, though have been picking up points under Rowett now, but most of their wins are at home.
  18. See those stickers that were doing the rounds with our badge on them recently. Those sort of people.
  19. Would've preferred him going to a club that's not part of a relegation battle.
  20. Man City v Real Madrid seems to be every season now Massive game for a first knockout. Agreed. Gonna probably get knocked out too.
  21. Can't be happening. We can't let Cannon and Daka go in the same window. We can't be left with Eduard if Vardy was to get injured or suspended.
  22. Think I'm gonna try this. I've been Goodison Park before but only on the train. Tomorrow we're driving up instead and I know from past experience at Anfield how bad it can be getting out in the car.
  23. Fair point. I know Bayern put 9 past Dinamo but the question "would I rather watch that game or Man City v Bayern" is exactly what the super league creators want, which the Champions League has turned or is turning into now.
  24. I'm not questioning in the move just the "set for life" comments because it's not like PL players are on nothing is it.
  25. Villa bought Malen for £20m last week. But they've also sold players for a profit this window - Duran most recently but Philogene went to Ipswich for £20m - Villa know what they're doing now.
