Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
Bezzanator89 replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Even though Forest are potentially taking him off our hands, for which I am thankful, pleasantries never get old. Cracked me up. 😂 -
Oh, go on then Genosse Blau-Weiß, you've twisted my arm. Says a lot about Daka to be honest... Gerrimin, even though we probably won't due to our "bloated" squad.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official

This is football, they just might. -
It would. I'll miss shouting "Break a leg, Hamza!" when he comes on as a sub. How I truly meant that phrase, I'll leave open for discussion. 👀

Given they've just gone behind to Wolves, this is getting less and less surprising. -
Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)

Wow, another damning indictment of our current state of affairs. He is dreadful, kept here on sentimentality alone coupled with a lower wage, and still top of the pecking order. -
Literally thought we were resigning Momo Sylla, who is now 48. Need to calm down.

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Case in point? Background music makes it all seem so comical, when we all know depressing each of those positional calamities were. Take care JJ. -

Possibly the pantomime villain. In any case, we will take that given how injury prone he is, and that he barely ventures beyond the halfway line these days. Hope he can find some fitness and get back to the form before his injuries happened. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Need to sell him otherwise we may as well shut the transfer window now. Any updates @Finnegan? -
Maybe SecretPro is actually Calvin Stengs.

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

Is he gone yet? 🙏 -
Tried to do too much on his own, probably because he didn't have any choice. Best player we have by some margin, and it shows on days like today, but says a lot for the overall quality of the team.

Charlton 0-1 LCFC, post-match thread
Bezzanator89 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
A better team would have caned us today. Take the win but serious problems across the pitch to address. -
Not going to happen with anyone else is it? Maybe Monga if we have an alternative option...
-
Yep, his bench warming is critical to the team doing well.
-
As far as Daka's post-goal body language goes, it doesnt look good when you compare it to Abdul Fatawu. The arm fling and morose expression can easily be interpreted as someone frustrated that Monga can score goals... 😂

It did hit a nerve, but I still agree with you, partially. Merchandise etc is one thing, they're nice to haves on the day if anyone actually has disposable income these days, and they don't contribute to the atmosphere. It's not so black and white when it comes to Season Tickets, got to have bums on seats to push the team on. Typical match day prices on the day are more expensive than the price of a season ticket, amortised over 23 games. The club is a lot less likely to fill the stadium with match day price tickets than season ticket holders, and match day atmosphere has to count for something. Its a tricky one but I would rather people still keep coming to the games, but stop buying things off the shelves and the consumables stop being consumed. Little ways of making an impact.

Fine, I'm part of the problem. Deal with it. I'm about as hacked off with the club as the next person, but I will still go to support them as I have for the last 14 years when I could actually afford one. And that's entirely my choice. I nearly gave it up after the relegation of 2024-25, but I'm giving it one last punt as this is still a means to socialise and support my boyhood club. By all means, hold it against me.

Caught in no mans' land for the first, left way too exposed by awful defending for the second. It happens. He will save us way more points than he will cost us. The team performance as a whole was poor so no need to single him out. Draw a line under it and move on.
-
Yes, the whole hierarchy just stinks now. But we need to go further, didn't change a thing last time and probably won't this time. Boycotting games, stop buying merchandise and match-day food/drinks. Need to start hurting the club financially for the message to hit home. The players look fed up and so are we, just need to show the club how much.
-
Only a banana skin if the opposition is worse than us, if anything it is the other way round. Yesterday's performance will make most of the country realise, if they hadn't already, that we just not that good and we are not destined for promotion. This is a mid-table team and currently play like one. The pre-season win against Fiorentina looks more like a fluke as the weeks pass. As much as I sympathise with the currently depressing situatuon he finds himself in, we just need Marti to quickly realise which players are the weak links. Soumaré and Skipp should never start again, sulky Winks and BEK instead. Potentially unpopular opinion but Hamza should be nowhere near the team. Anyone that wants to ask what I would do instead, well I don't know, that's above my pay grade.
-
Means very little if all we have done is sign a 38 year old backup keeper. I wouldn't expect much else to change between now and the end of the transfer window.
-
Only good thing about that was Monga's goalscoring exploits, but even that means nothing in my opinion if we still lose like we did today. Signs don't look good for those that predicted we will be promoted this season. Squad needs a massive refresh, but we are essentially paralysed by our current squad and off-field financial issues. Could be a long season ahead if MC doesn't find the best starting XI quickly.
