  1. BDCR, Ayew and Eduoard. That front line is absolute gash. Barely a goal threat between them. Trio of has-beens that can't cut it against Walsall, never mind the Premier League. Cooper, this is on your head. Vardy's place in the side has never felt so safe. Stay fit, JV. Please.
  2. Fooooook. Dodged one heck of a PSR-sized bullet. That said, and sorry if this has been brought up, but can the Premier League launch an appeal.against our successful appeal? I should be thrilled and relieved but have this unsteady feeling there may be another twist in this exhausting tale. And don't think you're off the hook Rudkin, you're still financially incompetent.
  3. Thank fook for that. Still annoyed about letting Tom Cannon leave but pulled it back. Is he actually eligible for Villa? Could end up leading the line.
  4. Without another striker, I'm astounded that we are even considering letting him go, even on loan. But with this club, another stupid decision is always possible.
  5. Okay, this topic is going waaaaaaay off-topic. Someone either post something relevant to the actual transfer that probably won't happen anyway, or just close the thread before stuff gets real personal.
  6. I miss his laziness.
  7. His appointment brought a lot of excitement to our club, as well as some memorable signings! Times I'll never forget and I'll always remember them fondly, they helped us get us to where we were. A gentleman of the game. RIP Sven.
  8. Poor signings, poor preseason, poor tactics, lack of attacking threat. So far, it doesn't look good for Steve. But he shouldn't be taking all the flak. My crosshair is aiming a little higher up, as my expectations tell me that Cooper is here to do a job and keep us up with the resources he has (yes, duh). And if he doesn't, for whatever reason, make the cut here, then we have to believe that those above should also resign or be dismissed. The mid-week League Cup match against Tranmere should be an indication, a strong one as that, as to whether a shake-up is indeed needed. We may well prioritise the league, but defeat in that game could well accelerate Cooper's demise.
  9. Think Sean Dyche might have something to say about. That said, we look awful. But perhaps I should lower my expectations and say that we played as well as expected. Fulham fully deserved the points.
  10. Yikes. Time to come from behind again.
  11. Those that even remotely think he will be a decent signing for a centre-forward, need to give their heads a serious wobble (my opinion of course). Ayew has played 14,641 minutes for Palace. Sounds impressive right? Not for a return of 23 goals, one of those being against Grimsby Town in the FA Cup Third Round in 2019. One goal every 636 minutes are honking statistics for a centre-forward/winger that has been in the Premier League. Palace have never been one for scoring frequently and thrashing opponents, and with the likes of Ayew leading the front line, it's not hard to see why. And let's face it, £5m plus addons, in this day and age, is a low transfer fee for a Premier League player. Though at the age of 32, he is essentially past his peak, if he ever had one. Call me uneducated, misinformed, dismissive, let your keyboard egos run wild and insult me, I don't care. If this is the best we can sign in this window then we may as well have just kept Iheanacho, and thrown on an injured Daka onto the pitch, they would be just as effective. Poor Vardy may well be getting more minutes than I thought at this rate.
  12. 2. One will likely be Ayew, which depresses me enough. The other will be for a position that doesn't need to be filled.
  13. After what felt like a Spurs exhibition match for the first half, we really stepped up the intensity and got a draw which we deserved. Spurs should have been out of sight, bit they were SO wasteful. I really hope that big points like these will count towards something at the end of the season when PSR is through with us.
  14. Rudkin Out, Whelan Out, Leicester City. Rudkin Out, Whelan Out, I pray.... Rudkin Out, Whelan Out, Leicester City, Kick them both to the f'ing kerb.
  15. Close thread, this aint happening.
  16. A striker. Injury-free and free-scoring.
  17. I'd like to think the Blue Army would sympathise with him and the shitfest that he inherited, and vent their ire towards the hierarchy. Steve is already working with one hand behind his back, and that's without PSR.
  18. Every empire crumbles eventually. It was a blast that brought us some extroadinary memories and achievements that not one of us could ever dream of. Thay being said, this club, and its board have stagnated something awful over the last few years, lumbering from one faux pas after another. We all know it is time for a change at the top, but whilst the hierarchy shows no desire for change, don't be expecting to see any different on the pitch either. Relegation this season? Probably. But will settle for 17th on the last day of the season, and I realistically cannot set my sights any higher with the board currently running the club, and running it into the ground.
  19. Nah, it's probably the same kind of contract that makes him too expensive to sack, like Rodgers.
  20. Just to score first game of the season, or even have a shot on target and build up from there. Blunt pre-season performances are nothing to write home about. Just shows what we need to buy before Tottenham and pray that the points deduction is anything below 12. Going to be a long, tough season, absolutely no question. Needs to be a mass protest against the board but the fanbase lacks the backbone to go through with it.
  21. Looked sharp but still no end product, so kinda as you were with Daka.
  22. I would be happy with 18th after this performance, never mind 17th. Garbage. On the plus side, this does remind me why certain players should be nowhere near a Premier League starting XI squad.
  23. At what point is enough, well, enough? There should be a protest against the hierarchy for sheer incompetence but the happy, clappy fanbase just continually lacks the bottle and instead goes along with this absolute sh*show that is supposed to be called running a Premier League club. Something seismic has to change. Selling our best players was not detrimental, as we had the financial clout and scouting system to find a cheaper replacement, whilst still having decent cover. This scenario is completely different, with the financial shackles in place, we are paralysed from improving the squad. Heads have to roll from up top for this shambolic fall from grace.
  24. Ugh, having Casadei flashbacks.
