Champions League Thread 2023/2024

With both, the further you get from the big money the more enjoyable it is. -
Only tend to segregate for games where they expect to sell over 1000 and have a decent away following, it's a rare thing. Pub options are The Snibstone, Engine or Spoons. All 3 are a 5 minute walk from the ground. If you want to watch one of the early kick offs, the engine tends to have both. Hoping I'm better by Saturday so I can get down and watch it.

Jesus christ I've just seen that red Embarrassing decision. I long for the day where common sense is applied and actions are punished rather than result of actions. -
The way I remember it, his contract actually had expired and then he signed another one. I've no idea if my memory is correct or not, if I'm remembering right though, the interview doesn't make much sense

Was following on bet365 and it looked fairly dominant. 14-1 on shots at the point St Ives scored

Grown men absolutely pulling their pud over the idea of playing a low block 4 4 0 formation and not leaving their half

You'd think it was Leicester's cup final tonight based on the reactions

Surely being on Reddit counteracts any good that leaving other social media would have done

I didn't think the smart car would ever be bested.

Another call taking 90 seconds longer than it needed to

I hate Spurs

1 out if 4 is scared of them. Ive found that turning the volume up just freaks her out more so just keep everything quiet and she stops panting and shaking a lot quicker than when the TV or radio is turned up. Weird as the other 3 couldn't care less. They're all sprockers

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Not sure being an absolute unit is a requirement. Being able to move and willing to drive forward with the ball and get into the box are whats required. Seems to tick those boxes to me. Makes sense for him to get that experience at this level. For me, Yunus has looked more impressive in the 8 role instead of out wide as well. Alves strikes me as a player similar to Yunus. -

I think Alves would be tidy in the 8 role alongside KDH -
Watched the highlights back and cant tell if Casadei was bone idol or he was being told not to get forwards. Few times our wingers got to the box and there was just Vardy and about 6 Leeds defenders Disappointing lack of will to try and score though. Weirdly I hope it was laziness of players, as its preferable to Enzo being scared of getting bodies forwards. Especially at home.

A third of the season gone - your thoughts?
filbertway replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Very solid start, watching games you can see there is still a lot of work to do next season. What I've seen of Enzo so far though I back him to bring in the profile of player we need and continue to develop as a manager himself. The vast majority of football fans are totally result driven in their thinking, so you read and hear a lot of predictable stuff. Much like under Rodgers when people refused to accept any issues existed cus we won the FA Cup while he was manager. Enzo is a breath of fresh air though and I really do hope he continues to develop and grow and doesn't fall into that trap of believing his own hype. We should still be looking to smash records, not many teams have had the financial advantage over the majority of the league that we currently have. Just winning games because we're better man for man won't prepare us for the league above. So I really hope we start to see some dominant performances where we're not relying on moments of individual quality. Overall good start, but definitely room for improvement if you apply context to the results. Excited to see Enzo grow with us and bring us forward as a club. -
Ive seen it and if you think its a pen then you've never played football, or you are biased. Sooner VAR is binned off the better. Goal line tech is the peak of football technology, let's take that win.
-
Are we all cordina?!
-
You only think thats a pen if you've never played football or you were a forward and still biased 100% manufactured that
-
Sickening for Scarborough. Well done ramsgate, assuming they held on haha
-
Interesting that all the pundits said "no pen" yet the referee who was sure it was a pen couldn't admit it probably wasn't after seeing the 2nd angle Shows the mindset of these refs though
-
Another team that will get at us and another chance to learn to try and improve against teams that will actually try and participate in the game against us. Desperately need legs in the middle for this one as these get about the pitch. Casadei has to drop for this one. Won't get to watch this one so no doubt we will return to looking like a well oiled machine
-
That's my point. If a professional referee with replays needs to ask his mate to double check his thinking, then what is the point in even looking at it. Either he should say maguire offside and interfered with play or goal is good. It should have taken no more than 20 seconds.

Good to see Popov and Alves on the teamsheet yesterday, even better seeing them on the scoresheet Ive seen J Evans score 2 in 2 for the under 18s now. Thats plenty for me to be bigging him up to everyone I know as our replacement for Vards haha -
Can imagine it wouldn't have taken so long had it been Fulham
