I feel like you've basically made my point but expanded and said it far more eloquently We're playing it safe and pragmatic right now. You're just confident we will see the excitement come. I think I need to see shoots of it before I have that hope haha. Like i say, Marti's QPR team i always found to be entertaining despite their obvious lack of talent compared to ourselves I hope we see the improvement and the handbrake come off sooner rather than later.

I like Marti but im sticking to my 4th to 10th expectation. His QPR team were fun to watch. If fatawu stays fit then hes too good for the bottom feeders. I just don't think we look like a team that thinks they should be winning games. We're very safe in our style atm. Which to me doesnt scream winners. I get the impression that not losing is the mindset rather than winning. Its still early days we might find our rhythm but I've not seen much to say we will so far.

Have you even seen the odd shoot to suggest we've got another level, I've seen commitment but I've not seen much that's made me think "Ah, it's gonna click soon" I think with a midfield of Winks and JJ we become a different beast, but if we line up with Skipp and Soumare in midfield then we're not suddenly going to turn into some dominant force, because simply we're not I'd just take seeing some attacking intent in the first half and not going into limp mode if we do get a lead.

I think the situation is that there is a contract in place ready for him to sign when he's 17, but yeah as far as I'm aware there's no absolute guarantee. I assume we've offered him a very healthy contract and assurances he'll get game time.

This makes me more confident that we'll be able to tie down Ayew for another few years. Think of the money we'll make when we sell him!

Thomas would be fine as a squad player, but aside from his throws he's a bit of a nothing entity at full back. Just a shame he doesn't have that physical prowess you want from a full back because technically he's a very decent player in the final third.

I've just been sick, playing with 10 is bad enough, playing with a midfield 2 that hide from the ball and have almost no ability to read the play would be suicidal.

Rashford is capable of magic but turns up to games about as often as Soumare. If he was anything close to consistent he'd be some player. I dno about Newcastle fans but I was livid last night when Pope had a goal kick and decided to pass the ball to his centre back in the 94rd minute, 10 seconds later Barca had possession on the edge of their box Add to that the frustration of the ball being in play for about 8 seconds for the first 3 mins of stoppage time while they dropped into a back 11 and gave Barca the chance to keep diving. Eddie howe is such an enigma to me. I always thought of him as an attacking coach but his Newcastle team can be incredibly passive at the weirdest times.

If I had the time to dedicate to it, I'd love to be class at darts. Especially as that sweet honey pot is growing every year atm. Fly around the world getting paid to do something you're good at whilst not having to maintain some mad strict diet. Class.

If they're good enough it's a great environment for youths to go to and experience. They'll mature no end and it gives us a good barometer of where they're at in their development.

Agreed on that, it's good that people can change their mind. It's when people flip flop multiple times and that's just basing your opinion on the most recent event, which isn't very impressive
