  1. Not even sure he would be classed as DM, obviously one of his major attributes were tackles and interceptions, but he drove us up the field 30-40 yards constantly as well. I'd have him down as a box to box man. I think the only thing that stopped him going down as one of the best CMs ever was the fact that when it came to shooting he usually turned into a toddler. My god I miss that guy and his cute little smile.
  2. I'll tell you the problem I don't care a great deal I just noticed it becoming really prevalent in youth teams, felt like about 40% of the squads had kids with double barrel names haha.
  3. In my lifetime watching Leicester Kante 100%. Best midfielder I imagine I'll ever see play for Leicester. Consistently put in an 8/10 minimum week in week out. Arguably Mahrez as well, I couldn't see many teams leaving him out. Obviously its entirely down to however you interpret "world class" so people agreeing on this invariably never happens.
  4. I'm pretty sure spudulike meant 26,000+ season tickets available is higher than it's been for a couple of years. Which probably makes sense if they expect less away fans this year.
  5. I was scrolling through that thinking it's good to see the double barrell last names are dying out and then I got to the forwards Go on Rubens!
  6. Well this is annoying. I'm down to 19 and stuck
  7. Yeah that sounds good. It's not much effort on the club's part and dangles a nice carrot for the other non league teams. Slightly different point, but one of my favourite memories as a Coalville fan was seeing us play at Leicester's ground against a Leicester XI as well.
  8. Used to love county cup finals down there, but the county cup honestly just feels more of a hinderance than a bonus these days. Most teams are already in a league cup and at least 1 if not 2 FA cups. Add to that the postponements that naturally happen over Dec-March. It just builds up a load of unnecessary fixtures at the end of the season if you have a couple of good cup runs. I wonder if it'd be an idea to run the county cups in July, a bit similar to how the Scottish leagues have the group stage of their league cup which basically acts as a pre season. Yeah it'll be interesting to see how it goes for you, it doesn't take long for the vultures to circle when players are standing out regularly. Some players don't want the hassle of extra travel though, so if they're fairly local to Quorn and don't want to be driving 40+ miles 2 or 3 times a week for training and matches then that could play to your advantage.
  9. Olise has been a yard off it tonight so far. Pleasure watching this though, I really hope whoever wins absolutely humiliated Arsenal in the final
  10. To be fair, I think the option was around £15m and I imagine they probably didn't want to match whatever obscene amount we were offering. I think he was very much a Danny Simpson type there, solid but unspectacular, so if they could replace him cheaply then that made sense for them.
  11. Haha nice, best I could do was clicking onto them individually and putting $(".seat.o").length and $(".seat.a").length into the console
  12. Yeah the only season he wasn't playing for us, he was a regular for Bologna who qualified for the champions league.
  13. Glad it wasn't just me that thought that
  14. Nice! I look forward to seeing him in the u21s for 3 more seasons before he secures his 5 month loan to Barrow.
  15. Lommel hired Steve Bould and Lee Johnson as gaffer while he was sporting director
  16. Wherever he ends up I'll be hoping he does well. Wherever he goes he'll ideally be a starter, so I don't know if that would mean looking at maybe Birmingham/Wrexham assuming they continue to invest. Cov or Ipswich he'd likely be a regular for either of those. Given his output and the cost of him, I could even see someone like Brentford taking a punt if he's still available for £5m. They do love a value buy.
  17. It wouldn't usually be done as it doesn't make much sense usually. I think we're in a unique situation where it does though, if a club said we'll cover 50-60% of his wages for a season on loan then I don't know of any reason why that wouldn't be allowed. Obviously if we can get a fee for these players then great, but the biggest concern is taking a massive chunk out of that wage expenditure.
  18. I'll back TJB-fox up here, James' comments were at best naive and look a little silly now. He was also the one consistent bright light this year. Both things are true. I'm sure he's probably thought back to them comments and cringed himself. Obviously the comments had no impact on our performance and ultimate relegation, and it was just a young lad who had too much belief in his team mates (and it was a really low bar he set as well to be fair). If we could stop having good young players telling the fans not to be worried about the warning signs in future though, that'd be a decent
  19. Best highlights I've managed to find. I think the most frustrating is being 3v3 at the back at that stage in extra time
  20. First goal was disappointing for any keeper to concede. 3rd one I may be being harsh but he seemed to get down very slow. Don't want to be too harsh on the guy as it takes some stones to jump into a brand new team for a game this big at short notice. I do feel Jake would have made a difference though. As you say though, great performance, it wasn't really until the last 5 of extra time where they put us under any real pressure. It felt like we were well in control for the vast majority of the game. Hopefully we can use this is a platform now to nail that promotion next season.
  21. Think Rohl did well to even have them as part of the discussion to be fair after the state Martin left them in.
  22. Going in 1 0 down is probably good for Hearts. Playing like a team scared of losing rather than a team that wants to win. The goal takes the fear of losing out of them
  23. I dont understand how we can be talking about any kind of budget. How about some transparency from the club on what the finances are and what the plans are to remedy the situation over the next 5 years. Much easier for the fans to accept moves if we understand the reasons for them. Having any money to spend seems quite fanciful considering the massive loss it appears were about to make this coming year. Early noises make it sound like theor head is still in the sand nobody wants to acknowledge the seriousness of our situation.
  24. That seemed like an impossible job when he took over. Fair play. If hes attainable id go for it.the guys smashed his apprenticeship
  25. Good riddance. Jesus the money hes robbed from this club is insane haha
