  1. Ranieri was literally on course to take down the Premier League champions, all whilst undoing the good foundations that were in place when he joined. Being able to recognise and deal with that, is one of the many qualities that sets him apart from Top.
  2. The lad's gonna be 25 soon, only a couple of years till he's hitting his prime years. Why will we lose him for peanuts if he plays well this year? I would suspect there is an optional year extension available for the club. If he's tearing it up come January, then he potentially gets an extension then. Unless he turns into Neuer/Donnarumma, even if he did, I'm not sure clubs are going to pay too much attention. I just can't see any way we lose him for peanuts if he turns out to do well this season.
  3. We'll be in a much better position to actually judge that after he's played a full season for us rather than the odd game here and there. A 2 year deal makes perfect sense at this stage.
  4. That's not the correct way to operate, replacing your quality young full back with another quality young full back? Shouldn't they be looking to offer someone like Luke Shaw 150k a week on a 5 year deal?
  5. regardless of the reason he was on the pitch. He stormed on straight to the manager to have a pop at him There's literally so much video and photographical evidence.
  6. The owners and Kerr don't shy away from making hard decisions in the name of progress as well, so I don't see them sticking with something if it isn't working. Especially if they are haemoraging money. I was talking about Shaun Harvey, I had assumed he was a DoF but he's down as CEO. Feel like he essentially does that DoF role though. So I wonder if he'll be asked to relinquish those responsibilities for someone who can bring in the players that can push them to the next level without having to break the bank. It'll be really interesting to see how they deal with this challenge.
  7. I think the guy they've got as DOF is fairly experienced in the lower levels of pro football, he's been able to pinpoint players and staff that are willing to drop below their level for good money. Now that they're not going to be able financially outpower 99% of the teams in the league, I think they probably need to have another look at their recruitment methods/staff. If you start overpaying and fail at this level, you'll very quickly blow through tens of millions.
  8. If you go to https://foxestalk.co.uk you get the SSL cert error. if you go to https://www.foxestalk.co.uk then the site works. Seems to be the case for me anyway
  9. This can't have been written by a human.
  10. Would be spot on in 2 of the last 3 years to be fair
  11. Oh god, how I yearn to be complaining about us being linked to the same players as Everton and West Ham.
  12. People are getting a bit carried away about a missed header from 6 yards and turning the rebound into an empty net from 3 yards out
  13. I sometimes think I've wandered onto an Everton forum, the victim complex in some is hardcore PSR has probably saved the club, can't imagine how much the club would be in debt if they had the freedom to "correct mistakes". By this, people of course mean the freedom to run up even more debt against the club. The last things we need are those bozo's spending hundreds of millions a year on trash and have a squad full of about 40-50 people because we can't shift them.
  14. Huni looked so good and then Wardley lands out of nowhere. Still would love to see the Huni v Opetaia fight thats been talked about Will watch the Simpson fight tomorrow
  15. Some player, best first touch the game has seen Should have left with Kante. Two genuinely world class talents.
  16. Aside from the weird solanke signing, which is uo there with alk the bad stuff Rudkin has overseen. I think ange has been well hard done by. Their injury crisis was wild. They will naturally improve as they won't have Archie Gray at cb and Djed spence at left back next season.
  17. I just went on to the fighting cock to see what the reaction was. 4th post i read said they should "go for the PSG guy". I closed the tab and am still none the wider. Literally every forum has the same types of people, it's great
  18. I'm grateful for it, it's really put a limit onto how many f**k ups the board/executives can make.
  19. Haha! I can't wait for #Vesty2030 to be announced at the end of this campaign
  20. This is classic Man U. Decent player in a decent team has a decent season. They pay way over the odds both in transfer fee and wages. Everyone then piles in on player when he doesn't look as good in a dysfunctional team with big expectations.
  21. So glad we've got him on the books for 2 more years. Genius bit of work.
  22. I think unless you strike gold with a rich, intelligent fan of the club, like Brighton and Brentford have. You're always going to have some things that the ownership do that you question their intentions. I think our main issue is that our owner doesn't even have intentions, the guy literally could not give a damn about the club. There's just no way that he does, actions speak louder than words.
  23. "Americans have the reputation of wanting to ‘Americanise’ the sport, play games abroad, revenue revenue revenue etc." I give example of American owner literally trying to move club to a super league to generate more revenue for themselves. I'm not sure what more you want mate If you want to claim the win that Liverpool haven't been Americanised because they didn't end up in a super league then that's fair. But I think you're missing a bigger picture on that. Once they've got the magic 14, which they can't be far away from. They'll do the old boiling a frog in a saucepan trick, slowly introducing things so the fan's don't really even realise it's happening. Their power will be in the collective.
  24. Leading European football clubs announce new Super League competition - Liverpool FC
  25. Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea for sure.
