  1. Yeah feel like it's the first game this season where Enzo got it wrong. The high press seemed to surprise us in the first 15 mins - not sure why!? We essentially lost the game by starting the first 15 mins of the 2nd half in the exact same way Choudhury for Casadei with Ricardo moving up should have happened far sooner We'd been outfought for much of the game so 2 subs only when Leeds made all 5 was odd Another game where we played Nacho and Vardy in the wrong order
  2. Oh OK - I had assumed BBC's top scorer was league only
  3. I'd just worry about going down to 'only' Vardy and Cannon as forward options. KDH, McAteer and Vardy all on 5 goals. Iheanacho is on 6.
  4. He's our top scorer and the best striker at the club who can play with back to goal, drop deep and bring in other players. Better than Vardy in that role. Admittedly don't think any of his goals have directly resulted in points though.
  5. That all happened. Is there any evidence to suggest that it's unique to Leicester though? Don't a lot of clubs experience ups and downs and streaky form both good and bad? Isn't that, just...football?
  6. It's possible to mention him as an option, without thinking him as the Second Coming Did well enough in a few games at the start of the season. Some nice play vs Coventry and Huddersfield. Nice assist for KDH's equaliser on the opening day. Exactly! This. He's another body, takes pressure off players like Casadei and allows us to rest/rotate more.
  7. Don't disagree, but Leeds weren't W9 D0 L0 going into the game like us were they?
  8. Perfect summary. Think we've definitely looked leggy and tired in the last 3-4 games too. Probably a symptom of so many international players (i.e international breaks are no 'break' for a lot of our squad) and some of those injuries causing lower levels of rotation (i.e JJ playing a lot, instead of rotating with Doyle, Ndidi and Yunus missing resulting in 'too much' gametime for Casadei, McAteer and Yunus absences putting a lot of pressure on Fatawu and Mavididi). Our form is something to fall back on in terms of confidence and the gap just gives us a lot of room for error. And whilst I can see us (potentially) having a period of 15 games similar to Leeds or Southampton's first 15 games - with us winning 'only' half of the games, I can't see them putting together the sequence of 13+ wins it'd require to overtake us. Doyle to come back. Yunus to not only come back but settle in. Casadei to hopefully improve. Choudhury for Casadei with Ricardo pushing up into the 8 position is an option. Praet to come back and potentially get minutes in that position too. And Wilf. Cannon to hopefully provide more cover/competition for Vardy and Nacho. Never mind January reinforcements...
  9. This. VAR can't win. Quick and imprecise and they get pelters for making mistakes even with benefit of replays and technology. Methodical and 'technically correct' and they get pilloried for being overly fastidious or taking too long and ruining the flow of the game. Get rid of VAR, and the number of high profile officiating mistakes will increase and refs will be criticised for that instead. Maybe the average fan and pundit needs to just chill out a bit and accept that there will always be an element of human error in a fast paced frenetic sport where 90% of the decisions are subjective and officiated by 1-4 people watching live. Also does no one else see the irony in the same people who seem to be moaning about VAR all the time and saying it's terrible for 'ruining the game' are also the same people happy to flood the airwaves, TV channels and social media with painstaking analysis of the errors all week until the next game ad nauseum?
  10. Cream rising to the top. Think Leicester, Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton will be fighting over the title/automatics. Obviously we've got a big gap though...
  11. Disagree. Cov, then having come from a playoffs season and good form coming for a big scalp on the opening day. Southampton away, fellow relegated side. Norwich away, one of the better sides and in good form. Blackburn away. One of the better sides, beat us recently in the cup. Swansea away. Another one of the better sides. They were ahead.
  12. Probably the first time he’s had to play all 90+ mins? good overall but would have liked him to go on the outside to the byline more
  13. Good job we don't really then? Still top with a loss. Still 11 points clear of 3rd with a loss. Still 39 points out of 45 with a loss.
  14. Exactly. Multiple things can be true at once. Given our form and way of dominating matches we have every reason to be confident In the context of this league and season Leeds are one of the better sides Leeds are probably not as good as they think they are (they've won half the matches we have) Leeds probably have players and a setup that has more opportunities to exploit our weakness compared to most teams in the league
  15. I mean, even if we lose, we'll have taken 39 points out of 45, which is mental and no one would have expected such a return. And we'd still be 11 points clear of Leeds...
  16. Getting close to 1 droppable point per game...
  17. Think we’ve only conceded 1 second half goal all season too
  18. Shouldnt Winks have got booked for celebrating in the crowd?
  19. We’re 12-0 for goals for/conceded in the final 15 mins of matches.
  20. Backed up by the stats too. We’re 12-0 for goals for/conceded in the final 15 mins of matches.
  21. Anyone got a link?
  22. Which seasons/timeframe are they being investigated for?
  23. Because ref thought Faes played the ball - he gave a corner?
  24. Yes I think he can. Hence the 11 wins out of 12…
