  1. How did Dawson see the match against Chelsea and decide that El Khanouss deserved zero minutes today.
  2. It was the thinking of someone playing football manager on a PlayStation. Embarrassing, negative line up.
  3. At least Dawson knows now why he’s a coach and not a manager. A crazy line up that completely underestimated the opposition.
  4. Hamza should’ve come in for him today.
  5. Terrible, negative set up by Dawson. There’s no way any of us would’ve started with that line up and yet we have a top level professional coach setting up to try and sneak a nil nil with a system that we haven’t used with players that haven’t played against an experienced team. Absolute shambles.
  6. Verstergaard is better than Okoli
  7. A genuine 5 at the back with neither wingback outstanding going forward. Looks like Dawson’s tactic is to try and keep a clean sheet. Snatch a 0-0 or a 0-1. Good luck with that Ben😬
  8. Only downside to this is we’ll now be a top player franchise club and we’ll have to change our name to ‘Van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City™️’ just like ‘Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle™️’ and ‘Frank Lampard’s Coventry City™️.’
  9. Hamza to invert or play as a conventional fullback such is the lack of confidence of Justin.
  10. It was 6 games with the senior side and in that time he played front footed attacking football. Played players in their best positions where he could. Trusted young players. Made good subs in good time and made proactive changes. The feedback from all of the England lads was fantastic. During that same period, Cooper often played our best players out of position and often benched them, fell out with at least three of them, made late, reactive subs, ignored our youth (e.g. Alves) and played with no obvious game plan. I’d take a less experienced Carsley over Cooper every day of the week
  11. Carsley is levels above Cooper from a tactical and man management standpoint.
  12. He had to go down to Challinor to find an example that he thought was a viable option so maybe he’s answered his own question. There’s not much down there that fit a criteria of being currently successful, will cost next to zero compensation and would potentially want to join.
  13. Lazy 2+2=5 tabloid work from Custis. It was widely reported that RVN had initially applied for the Cov job so the club would’ve known he was looking for work and we don’t know if he then applied for the LCFC job. The story has a massive assumption that Challinor would’ve been looking for a job whereas he may well be enjoying his time at Stockport and not be looking to leave mid project - loyalty can still exist within football even in a world where sackings are just a bad run away! There’s also the added factor of compensation.
  14. I actually like Carsley, he’s been brilliant for England. I didn’t even mind his failed multiple number 10’s experiment v Greece at home. It helped him understand the team more and England played way better football with a far more logical line up than Southgate ever did.
  15. I’ve read that BC Game have already stumped up £15m of the 2 year £30m deal so presumably we would just need to secure a new shirt sponsor for next season. Presumably BC Game will stay on the shirt until a point that LCFC won’t get penalised for removing it. Whilst there’s even a tiny chance that BC Game survives, I’m sure it will stay on the shirts.
  16. Turns out if you are trying to shoot you are ok to miss the ball and take out the keeper with a studs up challenge halfway up his shin. Learn something new every day
  17. I put the numbers together to try and find the perfect new manager (and hopefully bag myself the data analyst job at the same time) and my data analysis has allowed me to create a composite of a potential new manager. My data shows the new boss should be an amalgamation of Sam Allardici, with a bit of Stevie Bruce, Alan ‘Pards’ Pardew and (of course) Meggo. The most obvious choice based on bringing those skills together is surely ex Notts Forest manager Stevie Cooper. You heard it here first.
  18. We need someone to input and number crunch the data, but we know the answer will ALWAYS be:- ‘Buy or Loan an ageing squad player from Crystal Palace or Fulham.’
  19. Not saying he’s the answer but RVN’s not got the failure record or the dour demeanour of Lamps tbf.
  20. The one time Moyes took on a team that were potential relegation candidates (Sunderland), the team were relegated. Moyes kept two big established premier league teams treading water in the prem but we are no longer that after the relegation and the clampdown on PSR. We are like Sunderland were.
  21. The timing will be related to the new recruit IMO. The board acting when it was clear a replacement was incoming. This week will show us I guess. Ultimately the timing doesn’t change the fact that it’s the right decision and as a club we are better off with Cooper no longer in charge.
  22. He should be embarrassed about the recruitment of Cooper. A truly shocking decision. The incompetency that could have directed our DOF to think he was the right man means Top should in turn, be seriously assessing Rudkin’s future at the club.
  23. We performed very badly against Chelsea, irrespective of the result. When only 2 of the 10 outfield players had games that you could argue were 6 or 7 out of 10 then the team underperformed. It’s definitely not delusional to have expected the team to play better.
  24. That backs up what I said. The club aren’t over achieving, the players have continually underachieved and have been lucky to pick up the extra points they have. We are in a false position. Statistically we are bottom 3 in all of the stats that matter XG, XGA etc and now we are playing better teams and without any improvement on the pitch, we have stopped picking up points and luck isn’t enough - we are dropping to where the stats say we should be. Cooper simply wasn’t getting enough out of the players he had and the points he achieved were because he got lucky both with fixture selection in that first 10, some bad finishing from the numerous good chances we’ve given to the opposition and sheer luck that enabled us to defy pretty much every damning stat. You can’t play a season relying on luck.
  25. You can’t say we are overachieving. We have played easier games in the first ten games than we face in the second ten games. Only Everton have a tougher second part of the season than us. Wolves on the other hand had a very challenging first 10 games and now have a set of 10 easier games and they are picking up points accordingly. We are not overachieving, we have got points early on through a combination of an easier run and a good deal of luck. (4 points entirely down to 2 sendings off.) We are now quickly being caught hence Cooper had to go!
