  1. Tbf when the queues are going down the steps it does obstruct the views for the rest of us who stay until the end.
  2. I thought McAteer struggled against his fullback. Wasn’t surprised when he was hooked off early in the second half. He was better than Ayew is about the only compliment I can give him. He needs to believe more in his pace, strength and ability.
  3. Still can’t believe Dawson dropped him v Brentford.
  4. Great chaotic stuff from Daka. Worked his socks off and scored a great goal. Hopefully RVN will work some magic on him.
  5. Fair play to him. I’m not convinced he’s ideal in a back 4 but I thought he did well today. Easily his best performance in a LCFC shirt
  6. Coady can’t play in a back 4. Never really has in his career. Started as a midfielder but became a specialist back 3 centre back under Nuno at Wolves. He became a bench player as soon as Wolves started to move away for a time from 3 at the back. Moved to Everton on loan and by the end of a relegation threatened season had lost his place in a poor team as new boss Dyche preferred a back 4. He’s not had a run of games since he was dropped by Everton in January 2022 and that’s included a season in The Championship with us. For all of his flaws, Faes is better than Coady in a back 4 which should tell us all we need to know about the absolute state of our defence.
  7. Feeling much more confident with the new driver of the optimistic bus
  8. Daka also can’t hold the ball up, has a terrible touch and isn’t a good finisher. He’s quick but not lightning quick and he’s on a much bigger wage tbf
  9. You can’t play Coady in a back 4, I’d argue he struggles in a back 5 these days. Okoli is injured. It will have to be Faes alongside Vesty despite the shocking lack of effort in the 3 games purely because there’s no one better available. Hopefully RVN will put a rocket up him. I agree with everything else.
  10. Yeh true. I guess I’m just looking at the initial loan of Cannon away from the club, and then bringing Edouard in is very high on the newly created ‘Dawson scale of stupid decisions™️.’ It’s clear from even our conversation that there’s not that much between Daka and Cannon (I’d argue TC has more potential than Patson) and TC is miles better than Edouard. I reckon RVN would work some magic on Cannon as he’s got the striking ability already.
  11. The eye test backs me up. Cannon just looks like a better footballer than Daka. Control, passing, ball striking, movement off the ball. Daka has superior pace but what’s the point if he doesn’t/can’t do anything with that pace.
  12. Cannon is better than Daka and Edouard.
  13. At times there was a similar lack of collective effort against Man U and Chelsea. Heads have gone. RVN needs to work some absolute magic
  14. If you are under qualified for a job that you are having to do at short notice I.e. ‘thrown in at the deep end’, then keep it simple and don’t try and be clever. Dawson has to take a good part of the responsibility for that performance due to the frankly bizarre selection, the clueless formation and a complete lack of in-game management.
  15. Can’t see Okoli getting in any other team other than ours. Bang average defensively and not great with the ball at his feet. Coady looks ready for retirement. If he’s honest he’s probably best suited to league 1 or 2 levels these days
  16. I was completely with you until that point.
  17. Asking a Cooper ally coach to take charge of the team before more than likely losing his job wasn’t a good idea. Particularly when that coach decides to try and make a name for himself by taking on an excellently coached team with a brainless selection and set up. Dawson completely Dawson’d up his big day. What a fkin Dawson.
  18. Im not sure about the two number 6 set up that involves Soumare. Personally I’d go back to last season’s set up in midfield. Sack off the number 10. Winks as the pivot with a creative number 8 and a more destructive number 8. With Fatawu injured, I’d play Buonanotte as an out and out winger on the right (Mavs on the left) with El Khanouss as the creative number 8 and pick one from Ndidi, Skipp or Bouba as the more prosaic ‘water carrier’ number 8. Play Hamza as an inverted right back and stop hoping Justin can play as a wing back.
  19. You could argue though that these moments are absolutely key because it’s goals that win & lose games. Too many times goals have directly come from Justin’s area and he has to take some responsibility for that. I would’ve started Hamza rather than him today because of his long term poor form. There are definitely questions about whether this team is good enough to stay up. I’m not sure tbf but what I can say is that first Cooper and now the shambolic Dawson have never picked their best team to create winning opportunities. Leicester’s best team at least until the January window should currently mean Vestergaard, Winks, Buonanotte, El Khanouss and Mavididi pretty much always start as they are the best options from a creativity perspective. The other on field players may rotate in and out but without our best creative core we are going to struggle to create. Alves and McAteer should always be options on the bench too as they offer a similar level of creativity.
  20. In a hundred years time people will ask why Leicester people say ‘I’ve had a right fkin Dawson today!’ when they’re describing a self inflicted absolute nightmare of a day. Hopefully a historian will dust off this thread and explain that it originated from a prized shithouse plonker called Benny Dawson and his 5 at the back shame in the year of our lord 2 thousand and 24.
  21. Dawson should do the decent thing after that game. Resign and then drive to the nearest police station and hand himself over to the authorities. He should do a fair old stretch for that crime against football.
