  1. Came on for Winks and hid from the ball most of the time we had possession, the very opposite of what Winks does. Took up positions that meant he couldn’t be used as an outlet and when he did occasionally get a touch it was invariably a wall pass backwards or sideways to a man under more pressure. Just doesn’t ever take a ball on the half turn.
  2. He’s not been poor but even a poor Winks is absolutely miles ahead of Skipp.
  3. Ayew flying down the wing then 😬
  4. Tried to enter the match predictor competition on the official LCFC app to predict the score against Liverpool only to find you can’t go above 9 goals scored by a team. I wanted to go with 10-0 to the scousers but I had to settle for 9. If RVN is sticking with Wardinho then the app needs updating.
  5. There were no good saves. The one Ward saves was a regulation save that would’ve been easy for a Sunday League Goalkeeper
  6. In the first two games, RVN made key tactical changes with early subs and formation changes that earned us 4 points. Cooper just went for a like for like late substitutes to try and effect a game. The last two games have been ruined early by awful defending and a catastrophic goalkeeper. RVN though can rightly be criticised for the selection of Ward, JJ and Ayew as a winger ahead of anyone but specifically ahead of Buonanotte. The club were right to get rid of Cooper, RVN needs a transfer window to assess his ability.
  7. For me he’s our best footballing centre half, as slow as coady & less vocal but a better player. I was surprised that he was subbed but then when we heard from RVN that he pulled a sicky at half time and that explained it. I do wonder whether he would’ve felt unable to continue if we weren’t getting smashed and he didn’t have Ward behind him but I guess we’ll never know. Wouldn’t be surprised tho if his illness also takes him out of the Liverpool game too 🤔. Tbh I’m pretty sick of all of our defence and I guess the one thing we can look forward to next season in The Championship is seeing Ben Nelson get a season for us before he is poached by a Premier League giant like Brentford.
  8. Skipp playing as the deepest midfielder today rather than Winks for the 1st half pretty much killed Vestergaard’s out ball. He can’t play on the half turn. £25m. Wow.
  9. He could’ve played Iversen. Iversen is a better keeper than Ward. Ruud chose to play Ward. It’s a mistake by our new manager. He had a choice.
  10. Stolarcyck is unproven at premier league level and yet Ward has proved he’s not premier league level. So what would you prefer? If he was fit to take a full part in the warm up, after playing 90mins in the week he could’ve played. A not fully fit Stolarcyck is better than a fully fit Ward. We all knew when we saw the team that with Ward in goal we were likely to lose. Ruud surely didn’t do enough research to know this otherwise he would’ve selected Iversen or a not fully fit Stolarcyck to give us a chance.
  11. Stolarcyck played a full 90mins in the u21’s. He was diving around all over the shop throughout the warm up today. I hope you’re right that he is going to be ahead of Ward but there’s no proof that it will happen. That’s just an assumption. As for Iversen, he featured today, he was on the bench. He didn’t feature last season because he accepted a loan, Ward turned a similar opportunity down to leave. The suspicion is that Iversen is behind Ward because he’s not great with his feet - I’d prefer him ahead of Ward despite this because he’s visibly a much better shot stopper than Ward.
  12. Obviously not Mads who is injured. I know he picked Ward in front of Stolarcyck as that’s exactly what he did. Stolarcyck was fully involved in the warm up today but didn’t even get on the bench. Picking Ward ahead of Iversen is also a mistake. The vast majority of LCFC fans would say within this group of goalies, Ward should be 4th choice at best. Unfortunately Cooper and now RVN haven’t researched the club enough to come to this very obvious conclusion.
  13. Play Ward at Anfield and we could be looking at the 9-0 record being broken.
  14. 6 months
  15. It should be quite simple for Ruud and his Assistant Manager/Goaly Coach. If they play Ward and the opposition have shots on target then this team will lose. There’s a very simple solution to this that apparently they can’t quite grasp.
  16. They pretty much all did except for the subs and Vardy
  17. Any sympathy for Ward needs to be tempered by the memory that he turned down moves to clubs when we it was clear he didn’t have a role at the club after relegation. He understandably didn’t want to lose his inflated LCFC wage on his long term contract but he’s now experiencing the down side of that. Fans see he’s incapable at this level and this incompetence has cost the club we all love. If he’d been making these non saves at a club like Shrewsbury on a league 1 wage, he would not have the same level or ridicule directed at him in such a public place. He made his decision and that’s how it goes.
  18. Manager confidence not taken too much of a hit despite him picking loss guaranteeing Ward and unleashing paceless Ayew on the wing. Very worrying decisions by RVN.
  19. Terrible decision by RVN. The selection of Ward meant a loss was inevitable and so it proved to be. This six pointer could be vital at the end of the season and could result in a remarkable Ward inflicted double premier league relegation.
  20. I’d play him at RB, JJ looks miles off it and Hamza can also play the RB inverted role that was so effective under Enzo.
  21. He appears to be Championship level but I wouldn’t say he is very good at that lower level. He looks a bang average Championship player that by luck was in a top 6 premier league youth system. He can only play in straight lines, prefers a wall pass, can’t play on the half turn and hasn’t got the physicality that can make up for the technical and creative shortfalls that he appears to have. The games keep passing him by and he continues to bring nothing, he has no discernible impact.
  22. Genuinely not seen any disgusting personal attacks about Ward on here? What have I missed? 😮
  23. It will be interesting how the press deal with this match. Leicester got hammered for our shit show away at Newcastle last week. It’s been plucky old ‘Ed Sheeran’s Ipswich™️’ until now this season despite their massive spend but they were comprehensively outplayed in this game. Newcastle missed some absolute sitters and still won 4-0 at a canter, away from home. Assist of the season coming for Murphy btw.
