Yeh Ruud said Woyo had a small injury but then instantly moved on and emphasised that he’d come from Italy and that he had to adjust. Sounds to me more like the injury was cover for his signing that he now doubts!

Mavididi was our best player after he got subbed on. He’s a true winger, he’s meant to take players on, even the best wingers will probably lose the ball 50% of the time. It’s a position where you have to take risk and as such the ball will be lost at times but every now and then an opportunity will be created. Nothing was ever going to come from BDCR. As for Bilal, he was poor all night and he played backwards far too much.

He’s been one of our better players but he was poor last night. He played negatively and didn’t apply his usual press. His role is becoming a bit of a luxury one. At times he’s as high as Vardy but then doesn’t feel it necessary to play like a true number 10 (not a goal threat, doesn’t look like assisting) at the same time he doesn’t become the third midfielder to help out the two number 6’s. Maybe he’d be better playing as an 8 in a more Maresca system where he’d have a more obviously defined role?

Of the starters Justin was better than VK tonight.

He’s continually getting percentage balls played up to him, he’s got absolutely no chance to win headers against Kilman. Hes getting no support from any of the other attacking players and our centre midfielders are an absolute waste of time.

Has a team EVER shown this amount of respect to Aaron Wan Bissaka? Employing BDCR as a deep lying left midfielder to block fkin AWB rather than try and attack and push him back shows me Ruud has officially lost the plot.

RVN confidence boost masterclass. Hook Coulibaly at halftime in his first start in preference for a centre back who hadn’t kicked a ball correctly for 45 mins and then drop him out of a rubbish squad completely in the next game. His confidence will be sky high.

West Ham aren’t great, they struggle to score goals, especially with no recognised fit centre forward. They aren’t great defensively and their best midfielder is injured. I’m feeling pretty hopeful that we’ll do better than most of us anticipate. With that in mind I’m going for 4-0 to West Ham. Come on you mighty foxes

I’m presuming WHAM fans are excited about tomorrow, it’s as close as they are going to get to a guaranteed victory. There won’t be many (any?) Leicester fans looking forward to it, nor many neutrals considering the game options they’ve had on TNT today and yesterday. For them it’ll be about as exciting as an ancient repeated episode of homes under the hammer.

Cunha is worth quite a bit more than £25m tbf. He has buyout a clause of just over £60m on his new contract 😂. If you think we paid nearly £25m for Skipp, it’s entirely possible that someone might cough up that amount for the much better player that ELK is.

You will never convince anyone that BDCR is effective as it’s not backed up by either the eye test or the stats test. He looks ineffective and the analysis as outlined in the Mercury article backs that eye test up! Whether it’s a crisis in confidence or age catching him up I don’t know. Fulham fans liked him but it just hasn’t happened here from pre season onwards.

BDCR is 0% effective at defending so even a reluctant defender like Mavididi is better. As for Ayew, did you watch him allow centre back Nathan Collins to run forward and past him uncontested on Friday? He literally couldn’t be arsed. TBH I think there’s an argument to be had that Ayew is a good super-sub but I see nothing in BDCR to back up his ‘fine squad player’ status.

Hopefully Ruud will start Coulibaly at right back who’ll look good going forward - combine him with a winger who isn’t able to help defensively and then take him off at half time to boost his confidence and replace him with the left sided centre back who’s ‘kicking’ every ball like it’s a grenade just about to explode. It worked well against Brentford. 👍🏻
