Butch needs to be much more aware and probably quicker with his first touch, he continually loses the ball when he first receives it. It seems like he takes a bigger touch as his way of quickly creating space but it’s been easily readable by defenders. His first contact with the ball needs to be tighter.
Tbh I’m already at the point where I completely trust the manager. He’s proven with Vestergaard and Ndidi that he knows what he wants and knows how to coach the best out of his players. He’s not selected Daka and that must mean there’s something about him relating to his skill set/the system we play, that means he’s not being considered as a starter or sub in the Championship.
I don’t agree with this. He wasn’t perfect but he was excellent at times. He creates chances for himself and for others which is backed up by the goals and assists he’s already racked up. He could’ve scored 3 yesterday and could’ve assisted a similar of others finished better as well. He beats people with trickery and skill and that by its very nature won’t always be successful. I love to see wingers with tricks and he’s got lots of them.
10/10 for me today. His telescopic legs are now being used creatively rather than just to destroy. Another fabulous turnaround in a players’ form that’s coincided with the arrival of Enzo.
It was a pleasure to see Leicester legend Nigel and his rigid soled box-fresh ice whites treading the hallowed turf of the KP again. His trainers are now so big that he needs crutches to move. Great to see him back.
He’s becoming undroppable. Unbelievable turnaround. He was almost made for Enzo’s system, probably the first time in his career in England where he’s being able to fully demonstrate his footballing ability. Credit to Vesty and credit to Enzo for his system and his faith in a player treated poorly by Rodgers.
There were two of our players that were shoddy in possession but both are causing problems for Norwich. It’s been a typical Iheanacho game - from the sublime to the ridiculous. Some slapdash control, some outstanding football including the Duffy turn and the resultant booking which will mean he’ll have more space when receiving the ball in this 2nd half. Casadei gave the ball away a lot but he’s a young lad that’s clearly got real quality and he’s worrying his marker.
It’s great to have a winger with some tricks again. Lookman brought a few but Barnes doesn’t really have many at all. Mavididi has got lots of tricks, as has Fatawu and hopefully Akgün. It’s not only great for us fans, their unpredictability is absolutely key to Enzo’s game.
