Realistic Managerial Replacements

Rosenior and Hasenhutl are two names that really drive home how far we’ve fallen. And I think both would turn us down 😫 -
Southampton 3-0 LCFC, post-match thread

Just to cheer you up with a bit of schadenfreude: I could have cashed out for £130 at half time, but couldn’t believe they wouldn’t score in the 2nd half. They can’t even win a bet against them!! -
The promise of a high press attacking style was such an exciting prospect… that’s my biggest disappointment with him, that there is zero evidence of us even trying to play like that
-
Yeah I agree, but is it him or the club that’s dragging them down? Is he the reason we’re not quite in a relegation battle?? I’m still not convinced that changing the manager will have any effect. It may even reinforce the idle entitlement running through the squad
-
He epitomises what’s wrong with LCFC now: Lazy, arrogant, and doesn’t want to be here. We can sack managers every month, but Winks, Faes, Soumare, Skipp, Ayew, etc etc will all believe they are worth the money we pay them but deem themselves better than our club. Winks must disgust himself looking in the mirror after a game he put 60% effort into
-
Until we have a competent Board we’ll continue to blame / sack managers. It’s really quite depressing being in this doom loop
-
Watching the Saints v Charlton highlights … if they play like that we’re going to get torn apart

Which role in her CV suggests she has any experience that would bring spending under control in a professional football club?? -
Interim Managing Director Appointed

An MD needs to know how to be a Managing Director in a similar sized UK company. A middle manager learning the role in an organisation that lacks experience at Board level is the antithesis of what’s required. -
Two poor bits of communication: A rubbish offensive chant by 20-30 lager fuelled thickos. A tone deaf club statement, choosing to break years of silence to address them instead of the catastrophic decline of the whole club. Neither look good, but one is a £400m company

Yup, and embarrassingly I fell into the trap last year of thinking; OK, he’s not a Premier League player but he’ll be a good first team regular in the Championship. Horribly wrong! -
That’s really interesting, I’d not realised this was the rationale behind stopping the game 👍
-
He’d been roundly booed about 5 minutes before when we were breaking, had their defense outnumbered and he received the ball and turned back
-
I think he was making a point of not celebrating his goal there, and sending a two fingered salute to our fans!
-
Blimey, I thought I read every word on FT… even my commitment is slipping!!!
-
Which, horrible as it is, is an improvement!
-
Is that what they announced?? There was never that many I’d have guessed 22,000 tops
-
I thought he was excellent. But I really want him to do well so am never sure whether it’s confirmation bias! Physically he’s exactly what a great CB looks like, and he gets really close to his man which allows him to get a simple unspectacular challenge in. I really like him!!
-
I’m glad someone else noticed the yawn a minute before kick off a couple of games ago … I thought I’d dreamt that when I didn’t see mention of it on here!
-
This is going to be unpopular, but I have some sympathy for Marty tonight. He changed the formation, made several changes to the line up, and seemed to have us working harder and defending with more spirit. That could have led to a lucky win, and been the catalyst for us to develop a bit of belief. The last minute equaliser will have destroyed any positives. It’s not like he’s stubbornly sticking to the same structure or personnel week in week out, we do generally cry out for flexibility and he’s at least shown that. (Yes, we were offensively awful)
