I think you under estimate the difference between self made genii that absolutely know what their business does, have considerable expertise and lead it in a firm direction and… Billionaire heirs that have the talent of a standard lottery winner

Blimey, how many more does he have to lose to move up that table??
-
I criticise him a lot, but at least he seems to be trying to shift the deadwood with his latest Facebook campaign

We were definitely here.

You are being sarcastic, but last time I checked the points per game was affected just as much by how many goals you concede as the goals you score.
-
That’s the crazily good goalkeeper difference not manager
-
Apparently not in his seat throughout though??
-
So was Top in his seat during the “sack the board” chants?? Anyone see his reaction??

Great!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Is one figure the year’s salary divided by 52 and the other divided by the number of weeks the league is active??

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

No metric, just my own view of the matches. Stats are really useful, but don’t tell you that 5 of the best players are injured for instance. Or that the manager is using the old manager’s back room team etc etc. Yep, you saw an underfunded Burnley team play some good football and be relegated. You can also see their manager now topping the Bundesliga. They had a great manager. I’m not suggesting we aren’t underfunded or our recruitment isn’t abysmal, I’m suggesting, just like Kompany that Ruud isn’t the problem. I agree we aren’t going to spend that money - I said that most pundits think you need to spend £100m to bridge the gap when promoted… we didn’t, we’ve actually lost our best players -

Progress is never made in a straight line, sometimes there are set backs. But for me the trend is of a clear improvement in performance and a style that’s beginning to become apparent. my definition of great football??? There were passages of play yesterday that had me turning to my mate in appreciation and saying how good that move was. Our play actually made me smile!!! This squad is its best 5 players worse than the one we were promoted with. Ruud is making a difference…. It’s the Board that now need to step up and at least invest so that we’re as good as the promotion side (which most pundits would say needs £100m spending to get to Prem levels) -
Forgot that one!!! One of my favourite chants before times changed!!! 😂
-
Exactly …. Board out / Sack the Board being the main chants (and of course the odd BP what a ….)
-
I can’t believe how much he’s improved in a lot of poster’s minds since I last saw him in a Leicester shirt. Cash in, buy someone that fits what Ruud wants in a striker. Trade players, make profit, re-invest into players that fit the plan better - It’s a good thing!!!

Mads, Fatawu, Ricardo, Ndidi his own coaching team, £30m and a pre-season… Ruud would be streets ahead of Cooper given the same tools -
For me, these all allow Top to sit and shake his head. He’ll not take any action until he feels that it’s him that’s included into the dissatisfaction. Aim the chants at the Board or KP…. That’s the way to get Rudkin out. I do agree with keeping the language cleaner though - the F and C bombs will never get mass involvement
-
No consequences to those 115 charges I’d suggest is them running it amazingly well!
-
I personally think it would have even more effect if he hears it whilst watching us on his firestick!! If we want rid of Rudkin then include Top, Rudkin will become the fall guy
-
This is the chant to get behind and the message to send to the club. “Rudkin’s a c**t” is ineffective. For Top it reinforces his thinking that the scummy legacy fans are the problem. How can idiots like these be conducive to his match day experience? It also offers no threat to his fragile billionaire's ego, or his Thai respect for authority. It doesn’t include him. He can sit comfortably and shake his head. The chant needs to clearly include The Board, the ownership, and be something that the whole crowd is willing to sing (including dads and kids). Us legacy fans have used this chant (semi-effectively) before, we know the words, it’s simple and is aimed at everything wrong with our club. Let’s dust it off and sing it loud and long. SACK THE BOARD!

Exactly my thoughts too. The poor recruitment, the stupid contracts, signing average expensive players in a non priority position, swapping managerial styles but not players, the lazy half hearted leadership of the club, the malaise that a job for life creates, the lack of ability at Board level, have all resulted in a squad that’s not good enough. It’s that simple. Prime Sir Alex couldn’t get more out of this lot, they’re near to playing as well as they’re able to. I feebly hope for a change in ownership (it’s not going to happen) whilst resigned to watching a relentless slide down the pyramid.

I agree with all of these points, but they are the most difficult skills in football to get right too. Sprinting full pelt past a defender doing the same, looking up and striking the perfect cross… even the best wingers aim at an area and the attackers, after playing together in a well drilled plan appear in the same area. The winger isn’t necessarily picking them out, they appear to be because they’re following a script / have an understanding. Vardy being offside is a symptom of being 38 unfortunately… he has to get an extra yard out of somewhere so his timing is nearer to the margin. Also Palace are a very well drilled side. Their defensive structure looked spot on last night, whilst we beat ourselves up it’s easy to forget that the opposition defence may have just played well
