  1. It’s only anecdotal, but in my experience, almost every business that I’ve dealt with that used factoring were in serious trouble, either massively restructured or liquidated, within a year or two. in fact, when I faced having to make redundancies I explored factoring and decided it simply made the problem worse and delayed the inevitable. Using these loans for limited situations was understandable but is a drug that’s hard to resist and we seem completely hooked now
  2. Crikey that time flew!!! So 1 game attended, no visible progress on Boardroom appointments, no fan engagement or anything to suggest a movement closer to the fans. He’s so inept, incompetent and clueless that he thinks that interview solved the problems
  3. A sensible rule would be that you have to pay in full for a player before / as he’s sold… He’s effectively the collateral against the outstanding payments, no collateral then no ongoing credit terms
  4. Our first Fofana?
  5. And the alternative is to pay all of his wages whilst he’s not playing, whilst he infects some of the squad with his negativity. I’d take 20% of his wages just to be rid of the toxicity of a senior player that’s doing nothing other than waiting to leave
  6. I agree, it reminds me of the rules around council spending, resulting in a mad dash to spend every penny of the budget in March (notice the pothole repair mayhem in that month) instead of better planned longer term work like resurfacing a road. We seem to run the club in the same way; in a constant state of pothole repair, never improving just falling further behind maintaining the crumbling mess
  7. I khan’t believe we’ve not discussed this before!!!
  8. If there was a metaphor for the state of the club, and how a talentless disinterested heir has trashed his father’s legacy; this is it.
  9. Arghhh didn’t realise that … shame!
  10. You’re spot on! Just checked and Bertrand was July 2021, Vestergaard August 2021 (£15m!!!!)
  11. Unfortunately I completely agree
  12. Juan Carlos Carcedo has exercised his right to buy out his remaining contract and that of his two assistants today. I follow Pafos FC reasonably closely and he’s transformed them into a Champions League qualifying side… albeit getting beaten and having to play in their rival’s ground as theirs isn’t up to standard. If we want a project builder then he could be a great pick - has Marty gone already and he’s on his way???
  13. Agreed. With the exception of Iversen, and only because Hermansen would keep him out the side, all of those players would walk into our current side
  14. In your (rather ridiculous) analogy do you think we’re currently getting Sunday roasts and blow jobs from KP??? To me, just like someone in your tired marriage analogy, you are remembering the good old days, and not the last 3-4 years
  15. Every opinion this sad guy has is an attempt at click bait.
  16. Exactly!! It made absolutely no sense
  17. Because we are owned and led by someone that has none of the skills required of a successful executive. That was bad enough until, witnessing our decline, he decided that more of him was the solution needed and promoted himself to a more active position, but doesn’t have the time, inclination or ability to give more. The exceptionally poor executive level running of the club has made it rot from the Top down. Nobody gives their all for a boss / organisation that is inept and doesn’t care, quickly they become rotten too. We are seeing the unrelenting failure of a leaderless business, and it’s going to get so much worse
  18. Everytime this thread goes hot I open it expecting to see the headline: ”Ayew agrees to two more years” It’s as inevitable and predictable as our decline
  19. Not the greatest game, but some positives at least: - We battled better, had a more aggressive press with the “weaker” kids on than with the “stronger” veterans - Nelson - Nelson / Okoli partnership - Silko through the middle is a good option - Jakub looked back to form - Thomas plays better with youth around him - JJ. He’s easily our best player
  20. Did he warm up?? I didn’t notice
  21. Suddenly we looked more dangerous, had higher energy, better press and looked brighter as a team with Silko giving it his all instead of wandering Ayew
  22. Apart from Walsh he signed or debuted those players. He didn’t have them from the off
  23. Is that right, that his new contract is double the wages of his old one??
