Big into the gym myself and am into bodybuilding style of training and follow/watch a lot of people in that industry, not that I'd ever want to compete (love going out and socializing too much!) Currently 10 months into a gaining phase, and am coming up to 15kg of bodyweight gained, starting a cut for the summer from the 1st March, looking forward to it as it's starting to get difficult mentally eating 4,000kcals a day of relatively 'clean' food! Best thing I did was get an online coach a couple of years ago, I've made more progress in the last two years than I did in the eight years of training before that, just thanks to the accountability and structure. Agree with everyone else that the best way to progress is to find something you enjoy and stick to it!

Latest ONS figures for the week ending 26th September show the rate of hospital admission for covid for my age range was 5 per 100,000. Add to the fact I don't smoke, exercise 5x a week, eat a clean diet and have had COVID very recently, that risk is not great enough for me to take a vaccine when there is little known about potential medium to long term side effects. Hopefully that answers your question about why anyone would 'risk' not having it!

And I've cited data that could support people of certain age-groups/health status in not choosing to have the vaccine. Data can be looked at to support both viewpoints, so it comes down to individuals making that personal risk vs reward assessment. Some people, including myself, have made the decision (for now), that the benefits of having the vaccine are not strong enough when you consider the risk of serious illness (for some demographics) is extremely slim. That benefit is even smaller for those who have already had covid and have antibodies. Good for him! He's an extremely fit athlete who has antibodies, why would he take a vaccine he doesn't need, for a virus he's not at risk from? Had the same experience with this guy for the same game! Paid for 2 Wolves tickets, three weeks passed and still no tickets, despite saying that he'd sent them. He also ended up refunding me....Strange!
