I cannot recommend Slovenia enough. Went last summer and absolutely love the wide array of scenery. I ended my travels in Ljublijana and actually found it bit of a let down due to its small size and after being in nature for so long. I do think if I started in Ljublijana, I would have enjoyed it more to be fair.

I was hoping to do lot of hiking along with some sight seeing. Staying near to a village/town where I can go for food or a pint sounds great too.

Thinking of going up to Lake District in next couple of weeks. Is there plenty to do if it rains and would Scafell Pike be likable this point of year? Any location recommendations to stay in would be incredibly useful too!

That's a decent take, I did not know that. I looked at Clive's films on IMDB and they were mostly duds, he had a semi decent spell in mid 2000s but that is it. I don't know if the issue is Clive's choices or his agent or he is just not on the same level as elite actors.

Bit random this but I always have thought Clive Owen should have a far better career than what he had.

That applies to "white" students and young people as well who are more health/financially conscious or lack social skills/interest to socialise in person due to rise of the internet. You might be right that the foreign students may have played their part in the decline in student nightlife but it is rather simplistic to pin the issue on them, but I see that has been a running theme in lot of your posts.

It would be awesome if there is some sort of running posts with pub recommendations in villages/towns/cities to save trawling through pages. I know there is likes of European Beer Guide or Untapped but I would just forget about them after downloading the apps and I like reading about personalised recommendations on here too.

Halfway through season 2 of Severance and I am just not feeling it. I felt the same in the first season but got hooked towards the end. This time around, I think I had my fill of surrealism, Michael Scott, bloody snow and the annoying brother in law who is an author.

And 13 goals in 14 games domestically as well! What an unreal season so far.
