  1. Supermarkets are insane and I hate them all. I do most of my shopping in home bargains and then just get the bits they don't sell from the supermarkets. My biggest annoyance is the clubcard price malarky, it's not an offer, just make it the price. Amount of times I've forgot my clubcard and walked out empty handed in protest
  2. Alot of people saying potter.... Is he really all that? He's only just above Southgate for me, completely uninspiring

    Houses

Yeah, use the threat to put the pressure on everyone else to get things moving. Moving house is a nightmare but it's in everyone's interests to keep everyone else happy. So don't be scared to use that to your advantage when you come across a useless cog in the system
  4. Not that bad is it, didn't really say anything against the club, just clearly hates klopp. It's actually his mate that says shit about Liverpool and scousers. Probably be sacked, but the shit he took off klopp, it's probably justified what he said. But yeah, don't go saying shit like that on camera you bell end
  5. The Tory's did try and turn us into a third world country to be fair. That's one way to stop the boats.
  6. I don't think it will for me because my pay is linked closely to minimum wage which is going up. I may not get the full 5%ish that minimum wage is going up but guarantees me at least 3% I'd say. But I'm lucky I work for a company that values it's employees. I forgot to add earlier, big fan of the change to carers allowance and I hope they do look into the cliff edge too. So again, what am I supposed to be angry about?
  7. Well the fact that I'm not being taxed anymore is as they promised. Increased NI contributions for employers is the right call in my opinion. I think I'd have gone harder on capital gains and inheritance tax, but what they've announced is a good start. I'm honestly not sure what was announced today that I'm supposed to be angry at. I certainly don't feel shafted, don't feel worse off in any way and the raise in minimum wage is also a good call imo. What am I supposed to be pissed off about then?
  8. As a working person, I don't think the budget is that bad tbh. The country's ****ed, things need to change and whilst I personally would have gone further with a wealth tax amongst other things, I'm overall happy with today's budget
  9. Perfect stocking filler for all the dads at Xmas this. If you can get another batch done and delivered in time I think you'd sell plenty. I'd Definately get some for my old man 👍
  10. The guys an absolute hero, a national treasure! What he achieved is insane and he always seemed such a likeable and humble guy along the way. Very sad news
  11. I randomly drove past a guy yesterday with a yo-yo. He was walking down the street and just doing some tricks. He was on his own, no one else around, seemed a bit weird but he was quite good from what I could tell
  12. Much better for me 👍
  13. The club's a joke tbh, whoever makes these decisions has no clue what they are doing and should be sacked immediately. From the highs of never feeling as close to the club as we did under Pearson, to where we are now. It's depressing and I'm pretty much done at this point. The club won't be getting a penny out of me until things change. I can live with things being up and down on the pitch but this is bigger than football. Top and his family have donated millions to local charities and yet somehow someone in the club is destroying any of the goodwill they had. It's a disgrace and if someone is reading this at the club, hang your head in shame, you are killing this club from the inside out.
  14. Interestingly in my kids primary in Wales, under a labour government, breakfast club is open to all and is already free. Loads of parents use it, we are in the position ATM where we don't have to most of the time but the kids sometimes enjoy going early to hang out with their friends. From what I can tell, breakfast is toast, fruit or yoghurtand I have to say it seems to work really well.
  15. I think it's too early days really. We knew the mess they inherited would take years to sort not 2 months. The talk the day after the election was a term to fix and a term to really get stuck into the good stuff. I actually don't have an issue with winter fuel payments, not a vote winner but the Tories cut the shit out of everyone except the pensioners, so it's a tiny bit of pain for very few of them. All the pensioners I know will either still get it, or certainly won't miss it. Even if it doesn't save money, it's targeting the money to those who do actually need it. I would like to see more of a wealth tax for the very top of the scale as well and I don't think that will come, but I'll reserve overall judgement for this time next year when we have a bigger picture of how things are going.
  16. Think we've seen enough to suggest we would have a great chance of staying up over a full season in a normal season. The big anomaly remains the potential points deductions, will we do enough to overcome this as well? Early days, but think there's a chance. It's those bottom 10/12 clubs we need to be really getting points from so only Fulham away falls into this category. A point at the end of the first three games is par for me. And we've competed every game, I'm sure there will be some games where we have a bad day and get nowhere near, but they need to be kept to a minimum. We saw in the great escape season what a few results and some confidence can do but again, we were rarely on games we weren't competing in.
  17. In an ideal world I think there should be another 5 or 6 going out on loan tomorrow. Probably won't happen but the more we can get out playing first team football the better imo.
  18. Good move that 👍
  19. Huge fan of loudermilk on netflix. Randomly put it on and it's superb 👍
  20. Thanks bud, I agree, completely baffled by her attitude that it's not the dogs fault because she was startled by the child running. I've had rescues before and if they are that jumpy around kids, you muzzle them when in areas with alot of kids, like our estate it's always crawling with them
  21. Had an interesting conversation with a neighbour earlier, short story is, my kids birthday was on Saturday, they were all outside playing tag when one of them ran past a dog that jumped up and bit the child. Luckily just a bruise and a child in shock. I've finally spoken to the dog owner who advised she doesn't normally bite, is a rescue and had been mistreated and must have been startled because of them running up from behind. I'm an animal lover so been very understanding and suggested for her to send a card and box of malteasers to the child to say sorry, just as a nice gesture and more so to appease the child's parents. Absolutely put in on a plate for her, simple, £3 gesture, no worries. Nope she's then gone completely on the defensive saying it wasn't her dogs fault, the child shouldn't have run past her dog (on the pavement) and it doesn't seem as if she wants to apologise to the child. Now I'm in shock, annoyed and think her attitude stinks. Part of me is now thinking I should report it to the police given she's clearly not the best owner. Dog bites should be reported anyway I believe, but I held off hoping we could sort it like grown ups. I'm in disbelief tbh.
  22. I'd feel sorry for the players, but would just love it if the football world turned to Chelsea and said, no, we don't want your players. And left them paying a squad of 42. The wages alone must be obscene
  23. I've seen this goal hundreds of times, even so, watched it again and couldn't help laugh out loud at the sheer audacity and beauty of the goal. Goat!
  24. Don't see much leadership in that race
  25. Pre season is about fitness and getting to know the players. I remember people blasting Claudio in pre season. And then we started the season with kante coming on as a sub on the wing. That season turned out ok. Let's just give him a few competitive games to find his best team. As long as we have some effort and endeavour tomorrow, I think that's the starting point. It may still turn to shit, but jesus the negativity within the fanbase is soul destroying and that's just for me reading it. Let's be honest, it won't be games against spurs that define our season.
