It all looks exciting and visually appealing but isn't the idea of these suprastadios to pack more seats in more efficiently in less space than would otherwise be necessary? I already find the seating to be a little tight and in winter when I've got layers on & a big coat its a very tight squeeze indeed. Wonder if I can get one of those nice blue Recaro car seats they have at the front

Vardy retires from playing for England

We got to the semis largely because of the opposition we were drawn against rather than any masterful management or abundance of talent in my opinion. -

I was hugely disappointed that he didn't get more game time at the world cup. It would've been bloody great if he could have had a world cup goal to top off his incredible career. -
From what I could see it seemed Puel was trying to get them to play quicker pretty much the whole game

i'm hoping to see our footballl to continue to progress as the players get more comfortable with each other and the system. 1-2.

I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 143 seconds

Did you know that farts still make a sound if you're wearing headphones? Sounds obvious but I learnt that the hard way on a train.

Have any timescales been suggested for all this yet?

Wasn't Mahrez responsible for maybe 20 goals though (created and scored)? That's a bloody big hole to fill just to stand still let alone improve. I know we've got a number of new players in but I wouldn't expect to see the best of them for some months, maybe a season, given they've never played in this league.

don't think we can assess how well we've done for a good 6 months or so.

Defeats in the first couple of games will really rock the confidence of any promoted team usually.

You mean in this window or like ever?

I have to admit that I have never been an admirer of Evans & remain sceptical both of his qualities & ability to stay fit & available I’m afraid. I hope to be convinced otherwise. Maddison does indeed look to be a quality addition I’d agree, but if he’s all we have to offer creatively it won’t be long before teams shut him out of games as we saw them try to do with Mahrez.

We conceded far too many goals last season, particularly set plays, and we have lost both goals created & scored with the departure of Mahrez. It’s too early to say with any confidence really but I’m not convinced at all that we have fully addressed those things yet.

Lack luster transfer window (and no big name signings)
Bablemikey replied to Evington Fosse Fox's topic in Transfer Talk
As someone else alluded to I do wonder whether we are struggling to attract the level of player we require to improve our starting 11. We see ourselves as challenging the top 6 and being the best of the rest but I wonder whether the football world at large really shares that opinion. -
i'm hoping we'll see an understanding between Silva & Maddison develop quickly. That's two points of a great triangle right there and would bode well for our attacking threat I think.

What recommendations for dash cams do you folks have?

I’m in the 40% tax band & I would welcome any advice on ways to lessen the amount of tax I pay. Are there some fundamental strategies that I should be looking at?

I’m so sorry that my opinion differs from most but I always felt he weakened their defence when he played. He was never on the same level as Vidic and Ferdinand and no better than O’Shea. Seemed to get injured quite a bit too didn’t he? I never thought he was particularly outstanding at West Brom either and certainly wouldn’t have swapped Morgan or Huth for him a couple of seasons ago. As I said though, I hope he proves me wrong.

I've never felt Evans was ever anything more than average. I fervently hope he proves me wrong.

I think the changes in the way we play that Puel is trying to implement are intended to remove the almost total reliance on Mahrez to create goals for us. I’d imagine then that we will see that creativity from other positions as well as right wing rather than a massive splurge on a single player in a like for like replacement attempt.
-
I’ve long been in the camp that believes a long term strategy is the way for the club to progress in a sustainable way. I’m just not sure at all that football today is an environment where that kind of thinking can survive any more sadly. If we don’t recruit players that can immediately replace the incumbents, or those that leave, & we beat everyone who finished below us I expect we’ll again see the press & our own fans calling for Puel to be sacked. And if that happens we are back to square one. My ambition is to see us consistently finishing “best of the rest” in 7th. Breaking the domination of the top six is getting harder every year for many reasons, not least of which are the financial advantages from various competitions they enjoy.

That's a bit unfair. Have you forgotten the legendary Gary Coatsworth?

People really do need spare the contempt and criticism of Rudkins' transfer history and give Macia his moment in the sun too. https://www.lcfc.com/teams/staff/performance-recruitment

He looked like the only one who was trying to get in space between the 2 defensive lines. Played a lovely ball in behind the back 4 for mahrez to fire a ball into vardy at the near post. One of the few pacey bits of play we had.
