I would love to see a list of the squad players & their contract expirations. Are we expecting any to move in their last year or are we again just waiting for some to go on a free? We do have a couple of saleable assets in Bilal and Mads, but beyond that I question whether anyone will come in for the others given their wages, and that will severely restrict what rebuild we can do.

Don't think the manager matters that much when the squad is inadequate for the Prem. The enormity of the rebuild required at the club, on and off the field, means that there are fundamental decisions that need to be made, and they need to be right. It beggars belief that the board can recognise that there were errors made last time we were in this league, carry out a root and branch investigation, and then actually be significantly worse. In any other business there would be repercussions and sweeping changes.

Very hard to have any enthusiasm when you know not only is the squad is not adequate for the Prem but the manager is crap too. To be honest I’m looking forward for relegation to be confirmed so that change can start to happen.

Plus extra spend on "European quality" players, bigger wages to retain their own better players, and so on. It's a knife edge that needs to be balanced on, which is very difficult when there is no financial wiggle room. This is why the "have-nots" cannot compete on a consistent basis.

Always going to be a real challenge shifting the high earners. None of them can justify the wage and I doubt any club will be prepared to meet their pay demands.

Lots of factors are to blame, but the ambition, and subsequent failure, to break into the top 4 the club showed and the crippling restrictions of FFP/PSR are right at the top of that list.

I mean one look at the goals conceded column tells you what our biggest issue is, but is Dawson going to fix our defence? It would be an impact greater than Huth had.
