Maybe that just shows that we are not the massive attraction we like to think we are, or that we do not have the budget to buy the best players so have to make riskier purchases. I don't think you can blame the manager here, I'm certain he would love to buy the absolute best players out there in an ideal world.

Francis Benali on commentary tonight with Neil Lennon. Pretty sure Benali is another of those on a long list of players who never scored to bag against us. Pretty sure I was there when he did too.

Boom boom, Daka Daka Boom boom one foe each goal 😉

Drop Youri into a better team, like Man City for eg, and you'd see how good he really is. I believe he'd excel.

I think people need to accept that, unless the those sides have exceptionally bad seasons, the top 4 is not a reality for us. The amount of money they can throw around dwarves our financial resources, and the sad facts are that money largely dictates the league position because of the quality of players you can accumulate. I know we won the league, but under exceptional circumstances. I know we narrowly missed out twice & finished 4th. But that only proves my point really because when the going got tough & we suffered injuries we did not have the quality in depth to get us over the line. Whereas the quality that Liverpool & Man Utd had did. Our fight this year is going to be for 5th with the strength of the teams around us having made significant improvements. I’m looking forward to see how our new players can improve us over the next few months to combat that.

The fact that we’ve finished 5th the last two seasons does rather suggest that a star right winger isn’t an absolutely critical signing many here seem to suggest. Not saying I wouldn’t welcome an big upgrade in that position, but it’s not going to derail our season if it doesn’t happen.

Lots of talk about his hip injury here but I thought that Brendan told us that the injury was to his back?

I bloody hope that's photoshopped otherwise these guys are significantly shorter than I'd imagined.

Social media is providing a platform of course, but is it not a reflection of how decency is sinking and the rising tide is one of hatred & bigotry? I'm nearly 60 and I can't remember a time when it felt like society was crumbling like this, and it feels like we are being propelled towards something very dark and sinister. I think the last 5 years or so have been very bad for many nations, including ourselves, and the trajectory is frightening. I honestly don't know how we can pull out of this nosedive I feel we're in, but zero tolerance of bigotry is a start I'd make and I'd be looking firstly at those who claim to be leaders of our nation.

Lawro spoke, and it was so.

Hope we have enough to win, but it’s clear we are prioritising the league. As well we should. -
Will we finish in the Top 4
Bablemikey replied to King of Gipsy Lane's topic in Leicester City Forum
At the start of this season I felt that another top 6 finish in the league, and reaching the quarter finals of the EL and FA Cup would represent a great season for us. As we stand today we are well on course to do even better than this, and we have a team that's only getting better as the younger players gain experience. Bloody incredible really how far we've come. -

what a glorious player Tielemans is. Absolutely runs the show. -
I thought we looked a tired team against Leeds, and interestingly Everton did too against Newcastle. I wonder whether the combination of lack of preseason training with the amount of games being played is hurting us, and is the root cause of the amount of injuries we are seeing.
-
Injuries can happen to anyone at any time so its definitely a concern. But the lad has set a very high bar indeed. Any cover for him is going to have to be a compromise.
-
Is he the bloke with the questionable sense of fashion?
-
Boots? You were lucky. We had freeze our feet in -10 ice then hammer nails into our soles with our teeth.
-
Probably better chance of getting him in if we offered £4m and no Gray
-
As good as he is, and I rate him highly, I'm really keen to see what the future with Cags and Fofana as a pair looks like.
-
Remember when Ben Chilwell said about his Chelsea team "This team doesn't know how to lose"? Let's give them a lesson.

Any streams for this? My sportsdonkey is down ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

I think Dennis is going to be a huge loss for us. We should be getting through to the FA cup quarter finals, and have every chance of getting through to the quarters of the europa league, as well as fighting for a top 6 prem spot. Being able to rotate players is going to be key.

A mans doo that’ll never go out of style.

And playing some of the best football I’ve seen us produce in over 40 years too! It’s really an incredible time to be an LCFC fan.

I’d agree, and he’s only going to get better over time too as he learns to find himself a bit more space to work with when midfields work hard to close him down.
