It’s poor to call in to question Top & the board over this. We have no idea what obligations, constraints, or other decisive factors are in play here. I happen to believe that Rodgers’ tenure has run its course, & that a change in management could reinvent the team. But there could be any number of compelling reasons why he remains in place at this moment in time.

Totally agree with this. I think missing out on top 4 and the money that generates meant we haven't been able to recruit the quality needed to sustain challenging at the top end of table. Those we have brought in have not been able to cement for themselves a place in the starting 11.

The emergence of Newcastle as a major power is going to be a really sad day as it'll essentially mean we have a big 7, and any club outside of that will find making a European place an ever decreasing prospect. They're not there yet, but there is a sense of inevitability about it given the wealth they have access to & the drive that the Saudi's have in sports washing their image.

If this is truly representative of the best quality that we can attract then we our peak is behind us now and our trajectory is downwards I fear.

It’s going to be tough next term and I think it’ll be a pivotal season for us. Get it right & we should be looking at European football, but get it wrong & we’ll be falling further down the table and will find it increasingly difficult. We need the defensive coaches to step up & find a way to stop us conceding so many goals from set plays. we need the scouting team to uncover some genuine talent that will really improve the starting 11. We need to perform on the pitch & build some momentum. I don’t feel we ever really got going this season primarily because of so many injuries. simples.

If fixing our set piece issues means spending our budget, then so be it. The number of points we continue to lose over a season would make this my number 1 priority. Fixing this must be worth at least 10 points.

I'd be reviewing the defensive coaching before I'd replace Rodgers. Replacement of Toure and addition of a specialist set piece coach would be high on my list of priorities.
