  1. Think we might see Skipp rather than Soumarre. Skipp was noticeably pressing hard & box to box in the Fiorentina game. More so than Soumare .
  2. I’m really interested to see what Cifuentes does actually. Will he go all in with Nelson & Okoli, perhaps pair one with a more experienced CB, or go fully with the old guard with Faes & Vestergaard just to piss me off!
  3. I’m thinking he can not be any worse than Daka, on a fraction of Daka’s wage, and may well be better in time. There’s significant upside here potentially.
  4. Hard no!
  5. I'm certain that everyone will be very patient and will set him up for success by giving him at least a season to bed in before even considering criticising his performances.
  6. I think I missed out here, all I got was a bloody wave!!
  7. I think it's a disgrace that any team can be starting the season with an unknown points penalty hanging over them. It's anti sporting, and directly undermines any sense of level playing field for teams competing in a competition. Not just the team being penalised, but other teams affected because they cannot know where their competition is. Any penalty should only be applicable at the start of a season.
  8. Not convinced this is a position we need to be spending money on right now. Surely we have higher priorities.
  9. Just on that awful touch that Daka had, I think that the defender got a toe on it and slightly deflected the pass, which then wrong footed Daka & led to that touch that put the ball way out from him. So maybe we are all being a bit harsh on him for that one.
  10. I'd love to believe that this is the case, but I suspect it's all down to what offers actually come in for players. I doubt very much that we're flooded with solid bids.
  11. My god, how have they done that!!!
  12. Vestergaard is right up there in wage too I believe.
  13. He's been a terrific asset to us over the years. Owes us nothing, but it's time for him to go.
  14. rather see Vestergaard go. Faes is more than good enough for this league.
  15. I wondered that too. Seems odd if not.
  16. I think we should all open our doors and bang pots & pans, like we did form the NHS during covid, if we get them out too!
  17. I imagine Simon Jordans head would explode
  18. It would be great to get ALL of those off the wage bill.
  19. I heard he wants a guaranteed part in the next movie. Apparently he wants the character Liver-Pool! His powers are babbling incoherently and stealing your wheels
  20. The bit that frightens me is that according to this he has yet to discuss personal terms Hope that doesn't kill this deal.
  21. I suspect he’ll be waiting to see what other offers he gets while keeping Leeds interested. Few weeks to go yet, no need for him to make a decision just now.
  22. I bet Daka still doesn’t score though.
  23. I'm more looking forward to next summers project reset than I am this season. I can't see how the club can even start to right itself financially until all those big contract players leave. The ideal outcome would be that we get promotion this season, the younger players ALL do really well and all the dead wood go, leaving us with some real talent, appropriate wage bill, and the financial room to operate in the transfer window.
  24. The whole PSR thing has/ is having a very negative effect on football overall. I'd love to see a thorough investigation carried out and some analysis of the positives vs negatives. I mean, how many clubs do they believe have actually been saved by these regulations? Can we balance that against the necessity of selling of home grown talent, and restriction of competition for e.g.? I believe that spending restrictions of some kind are necessary, but the current regulations seem to cause more harm than good.

    Daka

I'm surprised by the numbers showing he was in the top 1% last time we were in the Championship actually, so fair play to the lad for that. However, this preseason evidence has not shown much in the way of creativity so far. Maybe they are working on this, but in the videos we see them practising lots of cut backs to someone crossing the ball into the box and I don't think Ive actually seen this in real play so far. Except from Koln, who actually scored from such a move yesterday ironically. My point is, we'll need to get a lot better at creating chances if Daka is going to replicate his numbers from last time.
